Hotel de la Gare Hostel

Disappointed with this hotel. Rooms that smell musty, no window in bathroom and dangerous and noisy street. Almost getting mugged when they arrive at bayonne, people drinking in the street. Unfrequentplace. And howls until late at night.

Hotel clean, friendly and smiling staff. Only downside the insulation we hear the others talking. The rooms are nickel (equipped with a small fan well appreciated) the bed and comfortable good value for money.

Everything's great! Good location Only concern is the network.

No double glazing overlooking pedestrian street so possibility to sleep from 00:00 to 5h in the morning. Then everything creaks. The Windows let the air pass by the cold. The cleanliness of the room is not very good and the bathroom is very dirty. In the room a wall outlet, holes in the wood… Also cross your fingers to find a car place (current work and nothing planned for guests) otherwise nice home so 1 star. And luckily I got the room a €36 instead of 50 otherwise I would not have stayed. I almost didn't sleep and Jdois make four hours of road. For a hotel it's not famous.

Nice Hotel Not very quiet. One can hard to climb the 4 floors to access the room. Breakfast too expensive for my taste (€8). Clean Hotel overall. Nice boss.

The staff were very friendly and helpful.

AVOID, AVOID, AVOID — especially if you are a cyclist! This is a terrible place, small rooms — hardly space to sit on the toilet. Steep stairs, no lift and no offer of help with your luggage. No heating on until we complained even though it had been snowing. The owner is just horrible. He charges 5€ per day to put your bike in the garage. No mention of this on their website or the booking websites. We are round the world cyclists. This was the end of a two year journey, NO-ONE, ANYWHERE charges to keep the bikes safe overnight except for this man, in Bayonne, in France — supposedly a cycling nation — SHAMEFUL! Do not give this man your money, there are pekntynof great places to stay in Bayonne where you will be treated with respect.

Great hotel to be on the way… quite central, clean and good service.

Cheapish centrally placed accommodation.

A nice hotel, the reception and the staff are very friendly. The rooms are clean and correct. A small downside, it lacks a hair dryer in the rooms and maybe a little hand soap (although there are samples of shower gel shampoo, it's different). A very tasty and hearty breakfast.

Nice little Basque house on 4 floors (without lift) rooms single, clean, large TV screen. Very quiet hotel. Very good quality Wifi and fast connection. Shower and WC common on the landing (very clean) but some rooms are equipped. Good reception without fuss. I will come back with pleasure!

Charm of a small old-fashioned well-renovated hotel. Comfortable bed, simple decoration but pretty. Contrary to what some write, we have private WC and shower, just pay a few euros more.

The breakfast was superb. The rooms were simple but comfortable and clean. We may repeat.

Clean, nice rooms and nice staff.

The management is friendly. The price is right, the room was clean, the bathroom a bit small but very clean.

Home, bed and breakfast OK, good value for money.

A good place to rest for a night. Close to train station.

Do not… just right panic first pedestrian street in the old town, leaving the station you'll find quiet. If arrival night guided by your steps, through bright pavers, at the corner of a porch hospitality will be on your right a discreet staircase climb will take you to your room, pleasure of the senses the desire to find the excuse d stay there another night.

Great value for money. Completely renovated. Deco top.
