I really enjoyed my stay at the villa. Lizbeth was very kind and readily available. The location was very convenient too. This is my new home whenever I am in Kolding again. Totally recommend.
Although I didn't have the chance to go on the trip, my experience with the lady who owns the rooms was very pleasant. I booked a room for two, the next day she called me, asked if I wanted another (bigger) room. She was extremely kind and we had a nice conversation. Unfortunately I had to cancel the reservation but the lady was very reasonable.

My husband and I spent one night plus several hours before and after that night at Villa Getrud and couldn't have been happier with our stay!
The hostess is very accommodating, warm/welcoming and reliable. She is also fluent in English and German.
Our room (a double bed room with our own bathroom) was just perfect for us, we instantly felt at home and honestly didn't mind a few cracks in the walls and minor imperfections — it is a historic building and it would be unfair to compare it to a brand-new, shiny hotel. We appreciated how there was a sink and a mini-stove, complete with dishware and cutlery for exactly two people. The bathroom is small but more than sufficient. Also, we found the mattress very comfortable.
The whole interior is so charming and thoughtfully decorated, including the communal kitchen (which we only used to make tea since we ate out).
Then the breakfast buffet: Wow! I'm sure cultural preferences play a part here but we also eat lots of bread and oats at home so this was right up our alley. Everything was delicious and fresh and the hostess made sure to refill things frequently and also offer coffee at the table. The coffee was really good btw. After this breakfast, we could start our day refreshed and energized.
