Hotel Kolding

One of very few hotels available in Kolding. Location is perfect, in front of the main train station, 5 minutes walk to the Old Town. Rooms are on the level you can expect from a 3-star hotel, tidy and just good. But the breakfast is a 5-star: wide choice of basically everything, fresh and yummy.

The Hotel is very accessible since it is located in the center of the City Kolding. From there you may reach almost everything by foot. The pillows and mattress were so comfortable, I could have sleep the whole day. We had an amazing Breakfast Buffet, the have a massive selection from cereal to breads, cold cuts, salads and fruits, juices and coffee and pastry. It was more than I have expected. But most of all the hospitality of all receptionist was the highlight, they were very accomodating, hospitality at its best and very polite. We will definitely come for longer stay.

This hotel is very conveniently located next to the train station and has a garage for the bike. The staff were very friendly and the breakfast is the best I had in a hotel in a long time! It had such a great variety of bread, cheese, ham, vegetables, pickled veggies, nuts, yoghurt and juices! And all so well presented 💫 The only downside would be the cleanness of the room which could have been better — but overall a good place to stay.

Had a nice stay. The rooms are clean and comfortable.
If you open the windows it is a little bit noisy because of the road but not an issue for us.
The only downside on our opinion is the fact that since the restaurant is small you have to book the breakfast and if you are not quick some slots are taken. For example for us only the 7:30 and 9:00 options where available so if we have wanted a 8am one it was not possible.
For the parking they have and underground parking that you have to pay for. But if you drive 300m far there is a free parking lot near the station.

I would rate this as a 3 star hotel. The check in went smooth, and the service was overall okay. No refill of cheese in the breakfast buffé (which by the way, was really good). The rooms were very small and the AC was non-existing. Almost impossible to sleep in the heat. The bathroom was tiny and there was a shower curtain in the shower (so unhygienic). It did not matter that the hotel was in the center when everything closes at 20:00.

The hotel is perfectly located close to the city centre, so it is close to everywhere. Even to the train station, but the noise is not disturbing. The hotel is modern and fully furnished, the rooms spacious with everything you need. The service is helpful and nice, the breakfast is rich and tasty. Nothing to complain about.

I am completely satisfied with the service at Hotel Kolding. The staff is very friendly and professional, and everything is organized to a high standard. I especially want to highlight the breakfast — it’s the best I’ve had among all the hotels I’ve stayed at across Denmark. A great selection, high-quality products, and a pleasant atmosphere made my morning truly enjoyable. Highly recommended!

The hotel has an incredibly friendly and welcoming staff. The breakfast was absolutely delicious, offering a wide variety of fresh options to start the day right. The hotel itself is modern and well-renovated, with comfortable beds that provided a great night’s sleep.
The room could use a bit more artificial lighting, as it felt a little dim in the evenings.

Lovey hotel, immaculatly clean. I arrived early and was allowed to check in early, breakfast waa fantastic and the fact its next to the train and bus station made travlin easier, will defo be back.

+ The staff were friendly and supportive.
+ Great location and easy access to public transportation.
+ Parking possibility in Hotel's garage for 15 Euro/night.
— The bed was not comfortable at all.
— The cleanness of the room has to be improved: yellow stains in the bathroom area, dusts over tables, stains on the curtains and bed runner.
— The balcony of the rooms had no divider so when you opened the window there was no privacy whatsoever.
— Not worth the price (150 Euro/night) and not quite matching a 4 star hotel.

I strongly do not recommend this hotel. The cleaning is terrible—rooms are cleaned irregularly, with dirt and dust left behind, and the bed linens were changed only once during the entire week. The worst part, however, is that I discovered money missing from my room. Be very cautious with your valuables, as the security here seems to be extremely poor. The reception was unhelpful in resolving the issue, and the situation with the missing money left me feeling deeply disappointed.

Be careful when you are checking out of this “absolutely hospitable” Kolding hotel. My husband and I stayed here for 3 days and 2 nights. For 1100 DKK per night in this beautiful hotel you have to ask housekeeping team to clean up your room otherwise they will just ignore you. Our trash was with us for all 3 days of our stay at the hotel, but that's not the point now.
On the day, when you have check out, the housekeeping shows up and knocks on your door exactly at 11:00. We had 3 suitcases with us, I checked out alone and the zipper on one of the suitcases jammed, I told the hotel employee that as soon as I fix the problem I will immediately vacate the room, hoping that it will take about 10 minutes.
In the end, while I was fixing and moving my luggage from one suitcase to another, I got delayed and went downstairs 45 minutes later than the official check-out time. The front desk agent categorically told me that this was unacceptable and I had to pay an extra 100 DKK for the late check-out. I have worked in hospitality, and this is the first time I have encountered something like this, and it's not about money at all, but simply about the terrible attitude of the staff towards guests.

Stayed for a few nights during business in the area. Great central location with lots of eateries in walking distance. Convenient parking below, although train station opposite for those that can conveniently use public transport. Nice outlook from the room and relatively spacious. Managed to push furniture around the room to make way to do a workout in the room. Decent breakfast included in the price. I wasn’t blown away by the place, but had many positives and was extremely convenient.

Nice hotel, good location close to the train station. Clean. Super nice staff. Amazing breakfast! Really amazing! Reasonable price. They don't have ACs, so you will need to use the fan they left in the bathroom during summer times. Their parking garage is good and safe though you will need to pay.

On arrival we were served by a very welcoming and friendly receptionist who clearly explained everything.
The room was clean and nice, and nothing was missing, but also nothing that made the hotel stand out from other hotels.
Thed shower cabin is really small, and a curtain sticks to you.
What we hadn't noticed, even though it was warm, was that the window/door had to be left open at night, which on a Saturday night makes a lot of noise from drunk people.
So definitely not a good night, but otherwise nothing to complain about.

A perfect place to stay opposite the train station in Kolding. It is a great place to explore the city from.
The rooms are spotlessly clean, spacious and modern. I particularly liked the massive windows. Breakfast was good and the availability of snacks and drinks (for a fee) was welcone.
My only concern was the reliance on QR codes for breakfast bookings and suchlike; these didn't work at all, rendering the modern-ness of the technology it aims to promote, redundant.
A great stay and I certainly will return, nonetheless.

My husband and I had booked a room for one night. Hassle free check. Nice and quiet room. Very good breakfast and very friendly staff. The Hotel is centrally located with free public parking close by. Highly recommended. We will definitely return.
