Kolding Hotel Apartments

We booked an apartment that sleeps six. Based on photos, we were expecting two bedrooms, one that had two sets of bunk beds. We were pleasantly surprised to have three bedrooms, one with a bunk bed and another with two singles with a third that had a double (twin split). The apartment was spacious with all amenities included (dishes, cups, and silverware for up to 8 as well as pots, pans, refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave and coffee maker). Removing one star because the apartment we had was very noisy; we expected to hear noise since we booked a room street-side but weren’t anticipating the construction directly across our apartment that made it difficult to keep the windows open to cool off the apartment with hammering and nailing happening much of the day. In fairness, the apartment did provide several pairs of ear plugs as an amenity.

Absolutely charming place to stay our apartment which was spacious & modern with views over the lake was extremely well appointed with everything and if there was anything else, a long list of items which can be borrowed or rented from reception.
We stopped here for 2 nights to celebrate my husbands 60th birthday while travelling in our MH from Spain through to Norway.
I can highly recommend Kolding Hotel & Apartments, we will probably stay here again on our return journey.

The location is absolutely perfect, you are close to the castle, close to the lake s and in middle of the city.
The apartments has a great view.
The kitchen makes it easy to cook for your family.

Location second to none — centrally placed, next to the castle and the lake. Close to restaurants and shops.
Modern well equipped apartment. Plenty of parking spaces. Electric vehicle charging.
Helpful staff and reasonable priced.
Place is dog friendly, which is a must for us.
We only stayed one day, but because of the lovely experience, we’ve decided to plan a longer stay in the future.

The hotel has a perfect location near a nice lake and it's also near the city center. The rooms have a very nice design and are spacious. It was very clean and we had a comfortable stay.

Big apartment, but small toilet, it was not clean. I needed to decrease my note, I found a long hair in eggs muffin (inside) and hash browns, what could happen, but I did not hear sorry… Absolutely disappointed.

The hotel itself is ok. Very bare bones and minimal. Very open apartments with large windows — but lacking in privacy — you have to close every blind! Worst part is the rude cold receptionist (she’s an older female with grey hair). Very rude, unhelpful and should definitely not be at the front desk. Every visit — and I have had a few — she’s been the worst part of my experience.

I got a fantastic apartment — I had a beautiful view and was such a close walk to the train station and all of the cute streets for walking around. The apartment was very clean and more spacious than I expected. I would definitely stay here again if I come back to Kolding.

We stayed for two nights, the apartment location is great, a short walk to the center and if you want to take the car there are many interesting places around Kolding. The staff was nice. The apartment itself was quite spacious and I really liked having a kitchen with everything I needed to cook some meals. Spacious parking but it costs 45dkk a day. The only critique I have is the interior feels outdated and I didn't really enjoyed the shower.

This set of apartments is in an amazing location next to the castle lake and a short walk to Koldinghus. It had just enough space for each member of our family to have their own space. The staff were friendly and helpful. They have an extensive list of items to borrow or rent, so don’t worry about having everything to entertain your family. We did not opt for the breakfast buffet, but I wish we had. The apartment was pristinely cleaned and very comfortable.

The apartment was very comfortable, clean and a good size. They had many services available with plenty of essentials available to borrow. The complex was very pretty with a beautiful lake at the rear of the property. The staff even gifted us a bottle of Cava to celebrate our wedding, thanks for the great stay!

Super view to lake and castle. Contemporary architecture with lots of clever little details. Functional and beautiful interior, amongst other a lending book which meant you could borrow things like yoga mats, waffle iron etc. Well equipped kitchen. Clean and tidy. Friendly staff. Close to city center, museum and nice running trails. I would like to return many times.

Good hotel, quiet location and very friendly staff!

Careful, Kolding Apartments charged me twice — once via agency and once directly via credit card. Unfortunately very rude staff: There was some tiny give-away toys for children. When I wanted to take one for my child, the receptionist lady rudely said it´s not for all children, but only for the once that are there. That little toy was worth 1 Euro, but it left such an unpleasant after taste.

Overall a great stay! The apartment was nicely sized and offered us (and our son) a bit of privacy. Great location, within walking distance of the castle, restaurants, and the lake. Surprisingly well appointed in terms of games, toys, a cafe, shop for wine and snacks, and discount coupons for local attractions. Helpful and friendly staff.
Added bonus, it’s across the parking lot from a great ice cream shop.
Based on recommendations from other reviews we did select a non-street view unit, but the outside noise was still pretty loud. But that is my only real criticism, overall we really enjoyed our stay.
It’s about 30 minutes from Billund and convenient for all Lego attractions. I’d recommend allowing extra driving time though, as we did run into quite a bit of traffic. Totally worth it though, given the price point and amenities.

We spent NewYear's Eve here, 3 nights in total, the firework display on the lake was fantastic and right outside the apartments, so not far to walk to the lake.
Everything was perfect, the parking is a great asset but the guests should be physically shown the area that does not belong to Kolding to avoid a fine!
Kolding is good place to stay, The apartments are in the centre of Kolding, lots of restaurants and shops and supermarkets. Really is a beautiful town and very safe. Kolding is within easy reach to Arrhus and Odense. Both are an hour away and well worth visiting.
Absolutely loved the idea of being able to borrow what you have forgotten from reception. (HDMI cable was very useful for us). The reception is very helpful, Heidi the manager was particularly kind and very responsive and great customer service.
Although we did not have a buffet breakfast, it looks great and there is a coffee machine where you can purchase drinks. We have already recommended friends and family to make this part of a holiday when visiting Copenhagen/Denmark. This was a nice end to our holiday.
Will definitely return.
