Rooms are old but when money matter its fine. Location is good.

Clean and basic but with everything you need such as comfortable beds, spacious room and bathroom/shower, hairdryer, large soft towels and cleaning service everyday. Great breakfast, plenty of variety which keeps you going for most of the day. Friendly efficient staff who were more than happy to help you with your queries. A very good regular tram service to the center beside the hotel is the quickest and cheapest way to get around. No hesitation to recommend a few nights here.

Decent hotel, simple but clean room, sufficient breakfast and helpful stuff. But something just "exploded" in my colleague's room, with a choking smell of ammonia.

Rooms are quite dirty, old, no working air conditioner, very hot in rooms. Staff don't care for troubles you have with the roms, we asked for cleaning and came back at evening and it wasn't clean, towels weren't changed. Bad experience to sum up. Location is not bad.

Very nice staff. Great breakfast and the location is good as you can see many lines that bring you quickly into the heart of Prague. The rooms are clean and beautifully large.

Overall a nice touch, pastel and towels change every day. On the second day soap ended, so it was not even changed. The breakfast is not great.

Price was good. We had clean room. But nothing more.

I had to give it a one star because it would not let me post until I gave a star I wouldn't let my dog stay here literally I was trying to give it a no star but it wouldn't let me post until I gave it a star. This hotel is an absolute hole. There's nothing around it whatsoever the staff don't help you at all, We arrived at 7.50 and we have had to book another hotel to go and stay in tomorrow. No plugs what we bought fitted nothing around the hotel to get anything I. E food, drinks. Vile place. Staff just literally laugh in your face, I shall be taking this further when I get home, I won't let this lie. Paid £618 to come and stay in this place no chance. If your looking for a place to stay DO NOT STAY HERE.

Very nice, quiet, cozy hotel, tasty breakfasts, easy walk-to reach the center.

Dust on the furniture and TV, the room does not seem to have been cleaned, task on the carpet, long hairs in the shower and traces in the toilet… really not clean.

Not far from the city allows a good stroll to the city.

The room was dirty as was some of the plates at breakfast. Wasn't a deal breaker but was noticeable. Staff were friendly. Location is a bit further out from city centre but lots of trams and buses.

Very large room for very small money. Unfortunately there is not so much going on in the district, you have to take the tram or the bus to get to the centre (approx. 20min away).

The staff were very friendly and helpful. In general for small money the hotel is quite so-so standards for tourists who do not sit in the hotel. Two to remove the norm number. Just come to bed and have breakfast. But if the hotel is to sit longer, it is better than the other! because: 1. In the room of the outlets next to the beds No, found only under the table.
2. The table itself is narrow very, but long. On it there is a huge square (! ) TV, on the side I into laptop and hard disks, but it was uncomfortable.
3. Poorly cleaned, bathroom floor for 4 days wiping like only me. Maybe someone else, but the dust and hair in the corners say otherwise. A forgotten orange pill was lying on the floor on the carpet. All four days while I lived, she lay and lay. It was unpleasant.

I'm not the one who complains about accommodations and I also lived at hostels for several times, but this hotel is the worst hotel EVER. Of course it may turn out that I was unlucky with the room and other things but here is the list of what made me so angry about it: 1. Rooms are old-fashioned, the walls and the curtains are all dirty with stains of unknown nature, the same with the carpets. Thanks God I had my slippers with me! The bathroom is all mouldy because of the shower cubicle which has not been sealed properly and the water makes floods on the floor. The TV is old. I never watch TV but this square box made the room look 100 years older and we didn't find the remote control. 2. The breakfast is really horrible. Vegetables are perished, fruit are represented by apples only, the plates and glasses and cups have several cracks on them and are never clean. Forget about coffee, you can hardly find any. 3. Wi-fi is very slow. The only advantages are location and price. Cannot tell anything about the staff as I didn't get in touch with them during my stay. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone.

Lovely old art deco era hotel away from the touristy area, but close enough to get there without any issues. The room I stayed in was cosy and clean and the staff were just so helpful and friendly. I was incredibly impressed with how quiet my room was. I could not hear any noise at all from my neighbours. There was some traffic noise as it was facing a busy street, but I didn't find it enough to be disturbing. If traffic noises bother you, I understand they have plenty of rooms at the back that overlook a garden. The hotel has a lift, but be aware that otherwise it is not disabled accessible. They do state this fact on their web site, but I've seen a couple of travel sites list it as having facilities for disabled guests, so be aware.

Awful place to stay. The first room we got was not cleaned. The second one was like a group of smokers had just left it. It was cold in the fourth one. (The third one was occupied by another guest). Left early in the morning as there was no desire to stay there even one more minute. At the reception desk I didn't hear a word, neither hello nor good-bye. Just awful!

A bit dated, but clean and inexpensive, few facilities but good travel links.

Rooms nice, comfy beds with large ensuite, breakfast was adequate, not much of a cooked breakfast but that's a Czech cultural thing, but then again when it's a buffet I can't complain.

Ants in the bathroom. The room was really nice… Until we woke up next morning, took some cookies from our closed bag and found out a lot of ants running from the bathroom to the bag and the cookies were full of ants. Apart from that, very good service, room and location.

For the price can't really grumble. Was nice and clean with friendly staff. The noise from the busy junction in front is a bit of an issue and the hotel/room it's self is very basic with no bar etc. If you're looking for somewhere fairly close to the centre, with good transport links, a few little bars and places to eat then you could choose a lot worse places.

No place to get a brew. Or coffee if you want to diet. It's great. No food on Sundays. Leftover Chinese food for breakfast. That's if there was any left after the flock of Germans who get in the restaurant before it opens haven't eaten it all… life in your hands crossing road. And people staring at wife, s slippers.

I love my week. At the hotel the staff was very sweet and nice. The last night we change our room to the top with spa and a big bed. We couldn't get the spa to work so the staff was very sweet to help us and we did buy strawberries and a Martini, the staff was sweet to give us a plate, knife, fork and glass for our romantic evening
There was one evening one of the staff girls came in to our room and did not knock on the door before she walked into the room!
She wanted to change towels. It's not ok! @#$
There was'nt any chance of getting some sweet and you couldn't get a nice kop of tea or anything. The room needed a boiler for tea and a plate forks and knife is you wanted to get a pizza for one night.
The only thing there was to eat is morning food.
Other than that it was a great trip.
Easy to get to town and good transportation by tram or bus.

Hotel outside the centre of Prague but very well served by the means where in 10-15 minutes you reach the center. Decent breakfast buffet.

Spacious and relatively clean rooms; Breakfast in the form of buffet on the other hand a review… but good considering the price of the stay.

The reception is very nice, the hotel is tranquil and well accessible by public transport. However, the air conditioning is not very powerful so it is cold at night, and instead of a large bed there were two single beds so was not too comfortable.

Great location to get to the center with tram in ten minutes. Nice hotel, great continental breakfast, helpful staff. After check out they kept our luggage for a day for free!

Nice hotel, friendly staff, clean rooms.

It was wonderful stay there. The staff at the reception was highly cooperative n forthcoming. However food stuff at breakfast needs some improvement.

Stayed composed of tour to Prague, to assess the adequacy of cost difficult. The hotel itself was pleasant, modest, tasteful. Breakfast is a buffet with a crowd of people, scrambled eggs, sausages, chopped tomatoes and cucumbers — standard.
Prague City Centre have walked on foot, not so far.

Spent a weekend there and won't be returning anymore. Not a fancy hotel but this is not the biggest problem. The personnel is terrible. I have never seen a 4 star hotel with personnel in jeans and worse dress all of them totally bored. The worst experience was the breakfast buffet which was a waste of money, the restaurant was dirty, running out of everything from food to cuttlery. Also experienced many loud guests partying in their rooms and corridor till 2am. Calling reception did not help. Also the hotel is at a loud street crossing. I do not know what to say more. It was all wrong and it was my worst hotel experience ever. From smell in the bathroom to the funny garage where there were just 2 inches left next to back mirrors of the car parked between the columns there.

My worst experience with hotel in Prague. Breakfast was terrible, smelled musty food. Door had 7 cm gab so I was afraid to keep my person things in side. Reception clerk wan't to pay whole stay in advanced. Not any more.

Stayed in a hotel in January 2014. Everyone really enjoyed it. Perfect quality-price ratio. Breakfast — for every taste. In the room there is a refrigerator. That pleases. And the location is near a public transport stop.

Hotel is very well placed, trams and buses right in front of the hotel. You can get to the Old Town in 10 minutes with public transport or 15-20 minutes by walk (which I also recommend because you have many restaurants, pubs and shops) so don't worry about the distance. There's a Tesco shop across the street if you need anything. Hotel is nicely decorated and the staff is very helpful. Receptionists speak czech, english and even russian and help finding attractions for you or even give you a direction to the places you want to see. Rooms are cosy, bright, standard is good. Beds are comfortable, there's also a TV and a phone. You can't smoke in the rooms, but on every floor there's a balcony you can use. There's also a Wi-Fi connection which actually works! Breakfasts are good, staff clean after guests fastly and you never miss anything from the buffet because they always complement deficiencies of the food. Coffee is great :) The only defect for me is late check-in hour (2 pm) but you can leave the baggage in the baggage room which is of course free. The Hotel itself is cheap in my oppinion, but offers much. If you're going to Prague I surely recommend Vitkov. :).

Hotel has good quality rooms (we stayed in elite room for couple), shampoo, soap, dryer, lcd TV included. Manual air conditioning doesnt work well and you need to open windows to chill a bit. Breakfasts are included, decent food quality but small choice: hams, cheese, eggs, bread, rolls, toasts, milk and cornflakes, sousages, cake and fruits. A few more, but not that many for a longer stay. Staff is ok. Lunch menu at restaurant is cheap and tasty! They add 10% tips to your check without telling you that. Overall good quality for a decent price. If you are used to calm places avoid rooms from the street side. There is a tram stóp in front of the hotel going directly to main train station.

Food awful to say the least, keys that demagnetize soles and cushions, beds, Wi-Fi connection fee.

An ideal price-performance ratio! Very good hotel for that money. Recommend.

"Beware room burglarized"
I was robbed at Hotel Vitkov, the safe was ripped from the wooden cupboard where it was fixed, and inside was my car keys and my papers! As well as the theft of all my belongings that were in my suitcase, knowing that I spent 7 nights there! The return to France without my car so was in my charge since the hotel manager did not want to know anything, and my property is not reimbursed by my home insurance since I was at the hotel! Having sent the duplicates of my bills stolen goods to the hotel manager so that his insurance reimburses me my property, this one is made refund my property and now he no longer responds to my calls! It's been six months since then and in the end I find myself with nothing. Plus 5 Other clients were also robbed on the same day. For my part the burglary happened from 11:15 to 12:00 (when I was away), meanwhile the housekeeping women I had crossed in the hallway had time to clean my room and just after the burglars to rob me without breaking the door well knew R (with Pass card) …

Very cheap, centrally located, very good facilities.

Went from 5 to 12 April 2007года. Были впервые. Отель us понравился. Номер was on the 3rd floor, invariably area. The room cleaned every день. Завтраки (European) very even nothing:sausages, eggs, salads, several types of sausages, fruits, vegetables, many varieties of bread, paste, marmalade, honey, fruit drinks, milk, yogurt, tea, coffee, cereal, and something else:). Fitting location удобно. До center by tram ride 12. Пешком about 30 минут. Рядом the hotel is a good beer, where the price of beer 20 kronor (about 25 rubles). THE hotel is Russian-speaking персонал. Русских the hotel was 20\%. Under the end of our holiday in hotel всилилась Horde Italians, then we understood that the acoustic permeability of the walls very хорошая. Пожалуй this is the only disadvantage of this hotel.
