We loved the good vibes from the hotel, staff was good except for the reception. There is nice wild life around and in the hotel birds monkeys and more. The only Unfortunate was next door neighbour steel construction site or workshop (outside) with a lot of noise during the morning. Perhaps a natural wall of sand and plantation will kill the noise? in future.

We spent five days in this paradise recently. The rooms are very remotely located so all you hear from your private patio is nature… so many bird, agouti, iguanas, squirrels, sometimes capuchin monkeys, and I saw a magnificent female carrasow in the trail in the back. The staff go out of the way to meet your needs. My husband has limited mobility due to Parkinsons, and when they noticed it, they accommodated him in so many ways. We made dinner reservations at the on-site restaurant for our first night, and when we arrived our table was set with a space available for his wheelchair… so thoughtful. And they automatically delivered a shower chair to our villa. I can't say enough good things about this place. Also good food, really nice pool. Excellent choice and reasonably priced.

Great hotel, very friendly staff and amazing rooms. We were a few friends on a trip and enjoyed the pool a lot (watching the word cup from there). The image was part of the breakfast we had.

Excellent place for foreign tourists, not so much for domestic tourists, the cabin that lent my brother was far from the Internet connection range via Wi-Fi and above that there was no phone reception on our mobile phones.

Beautiful, quiet and safe place to stay. Rooms are clean, food is good, nature is aboundant and most of all the staff is excellent. Would definitely recommend. 5 minutes ride to grocery store and to the beach of Dominical where you can watch some of the most beautiful sunset.

Awesome hotel, wonderfully friendly staff and great location. The grounds are stunning and our kids had a blast playing tennis and mini golf. The wonderful guys at the front desk brought us plates of fresh fruit for our anniversary and the rooms were perfect. I highly recommend this place!

Beautiful hotel that park is similarly laid out. The rooms were nice, large and clean. I would have liked to spend a few more days there.

It was nice but was a little less convenient than we would have liked. Going to town and back was a bit of a bumpy walk. There were not any taxis that we saw and getting to a bus also was a bit of a walk. The staff is friendly and the food was good. The pool was a bit dirty though.

The place is beautiful, full of nature and green areas. Rooms are clean a very confortable. All the personal is very friendly and helpful. The restaurant is very nice, great food and nice live music at night. Overall, a great and peaceful place to enjoy and relax!

The grounds are beautiful. The pool is nice but has some stuff floating around. The food is good but pretty run if the mill. It is kind of far from town. I say "kind of" because while it is only 700 meters I the edge of town like they say it is probably closer to 1 km to the bustling parts of town and the road is unpaved so you will have to walk, rent a vehicle, or find some other way to and from town. There are activities in the villa though so you don't have to leave if you don't want to.

The hotel is very well on all points except the fire detector that has tripped in full…

Nice facility on a river with sea Connection. Has already seen better times but despite everything is very well maintained. You feel comfortable here.

Green spaces (You can watch toucans hummingbirds etc), swimming pool, breakfast and good treatment. Room cleaning can be considerably improved.

Clean facilities and a good value overall. We stayed one night from Saturday to Sunday during November and there was actually a decent number of guests. Only complaint was that we never got the Wi-Fi to work in our room. The food served in the Hotel restaurant was better than expected and was very convenient (since we did not want to drive into town to find food). We told them we were checking out before breakfast was served, so they offered to pack it for us.

Food is not so good very closed to the beach and Baru river nice placed to spend the day.

We loved our villa, night swimming, and oh my goodness you have to order the "Shrimp and Salmon Fettuccini in the restaurant; best fettuccini ever!

Beautiful location, hotel was very clean had all the comforts of of home while being in snuggled in the beauty of the jungle. The landscape surrounding the Villas are spectacular with local flowers, fruits trees & statues… the staff was exceptionally nice and so helpful en every way… all the people in Costa Rica are wonderful. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone who's visiting this part of the country and I will be back to stay at Villas Rio Mar… Pure Vida!

Best place for the money. Great pool. Neat little cabinas, and a well manicured property.

Stayed here for 1 night between arriving in San Jose and travelling to Bahia Drake last July. After an 11hr flight and 3 hour drive we were so pleased we had picked to stay here. After a quick check in we went for a great meal at the restaurant bar and wondered of to bed.
Waking up here was an amazing way to start our Costa Rican holiday. Within half hour of waking up we had walked around the grounds and seen Toucans and Agoutis to name just a few. The breakfast was fantastic and all staff we spoke too were a delight.
We wished we had stayed longer and really hope to return one day! Pura Vida.

This hotel was our amazing little paradise for 4 days and we loved every minute of it. We had room 406 and it was very private and quite. We seen toucans and iguanas right outside our room. The restaurant was amazing, excellent food for breakfast and dinner. We only ate somewhere else 2 times the whole time we were there and that was because it was included in our excursion package. The hotel staff are all very very friendly and go out of their way to help from the beginning of our stay till the very last second. The bar/restaurant staff are second to none. Hopefully one day we will get to visit again. I would definitely recommend this hotel to my own family and I would definitely stay here again.

Very nice hotel. Beautiful grounds: seen iguanas, toucans, butterflies. Walking distance to beach, river/Creek right across the road. The rooms were clean, nice, beds were comfy. My favorite part of this place is the people who work there, everyone was so helpful and nice, friendly. I would definitely stay again. Without a doubt.

Very good hotel, excellent swimming pool with poolside bar, good restaurant; easy walking distance into the village of Dominical along an unmade road (c. 10 minutes), with a further 5 minute walk through the village to the beach.

Excellent very rich the pool for the family.

The site is very good, the only problem is that is a little away from the town and the beach, but has several routes that depart from there and the River to the side.

Excellent hotel, quiet location, down the river road. Super beautiful grounds and friendly, helpful staff. My number one recommendation for hotels in Dominical.
