Stayed at Rio Lindo for several days during a long trip to Costa. Rio Lindo was by far my favorite place we stayed (out of about 4 places). The owner, Jo, was accommodating. The room was comfortable and amazing coffee each morning. The pool was relaxing and the bar tenders were stellar. I couldn’t ask for more, but then the location. Sunsets over the river are right there. You can walk to a small grocery store, shops, and other restaurants (Rio has food though). A slightly longer walk is the beach and other restaurants. If I make it back, I’d stay at Rio again!

Beautiful location, the owner is super friendly, and nice clean rooms with AC. Would definitely stay here again.

Not a five star or even four but… On the beach, everything is close, rooms clean and updated with new beds, bathroom, tv.

We stopped in for dinner one night to find this place empty and only having a small menu. Since we didn't feel like pizza or burgers we decided to stay for drinks and nachos. The nachos were very good! The waitress was very nice and service was quick. There is a great view of the sunset from this restaurant, we just wish they had a bigger menu!

Stayed two nights. People were very friendly, especially the owner, Jo. Clean room, but very dark — could use some better lighting. Loved the attached patio with hammock. Nice pool and bar.

Amazing place we found in Costa Rica. Owners were very helpful in telling us about the local area. Good food, beer and atmosphere.

I only ate at the restaurant (tonight Jan. 17, 2018), but the experience was at a level I felt the need to review. The bartender/waitress seemed to have a chip on her shoulder from moment one. I ordered a pina colada and it was terrible; tasted like chemicals and nothing like pina colada. So I brought it back to the bar (did not ask for a refund), and ordered a beer. The woman rolled her eyes, made a face and proceeded to be short and unfriendly the rest of the time… being sure to let me know she disapproved of my lack of approval. The food took forever and both the pizza and plantain nachos (can’t remember the dish’s name) were flavorless. At the end I paid, with tip (was not given a bill, she only stated what the price was, which included the terrible drink that I returned) this was apparently not enough, so she brought it back announcing, here is you change (with attitude) (keep in mind I was not given the bill, which almost always has tip included, so anything extra is nice, and in this case UNDESERVED). I went up to ask for change for a larger bill, she said she couldn’t make change for me, when I announced it was for her tip, she promptly and magically found change! Attitude the whole way through, I only reciprocated with a nice demeanor. A total dud in a town of great food and service. I was so looking forward to pizza, too; shame on that server!

It's OK I guess. The pool is gross though and they're pizza hardly has any sauce on it at all, and I was kinda gross.

Just came here for a drink. It was a great bloody Mary. Staff was very friendly also.

Ok place. A little basic accommodation; restaurant and bar nothing to write home about.

I can't speak to the hotel side, but the bar is great. Once we found it halfway through our trip, we went back every night. The food is fantastic (you've got to try the pizza! ) and Jo, the owner/manager, is incredibly genuine and immediately made us feel welcome and at home. We will certainly be back when we return to Costa Rica, hopefully soon!

Best place in Dominical. Don't miss it! Open air, on the river, fun crowd. Best pizza in town.

While the location and rooms are excellent, above par, it is the personality of the owner-manager, Jo, that struck us as most relevant to the Hotel's value! Vacationers are out of their element, and she just seems to have an intrinsic, natural ability to respond to the needs of the individual, to make them feel welcome and at home, in a foreign land far away from family, friends and loved ones!

This place could be very nice but its far from a resort. We checked in and the pool looked uninhabitable, like you could catch just about anything. The sheets and pillow cases in the room had not been changed for God only knows how long. I told the girl at the bar and she was put out. Told us she couldn't do much because she had to man the bar. She offered us another room but the key wouldn't be available till later or our money back. We were desperate and that was the only reason we took the other room. A tiny bar of soap is all you get. I have stayed at plenty of places in Costa Rica where for $60.00 a night its higher end as far as hotels go. Like I said this place has potential but leaves a lot to be desired. I won't go back there and wouldn't recommend it to anyone I cared about.

This has got to be the best place we've stayed so far. Absolutely beautiful grounds. Jo is awesome! Her & her staff made us feel so welcome & like family. You have to stay here!

Casual and inviting. No is excellent and accommodating. On-site bar is great. Menu is pizza and ribs (weekend only), but very tasty!

Jo, the owner, makes this awesome place even better. She's attentive and fun and really wants each guests to have their best experience. The Rio Lindo is known for their pizza, and also has fun daily drink specials, pool, live music frequently, and the most relaxing ambiance. Will be back for sure. Xoxo.

We rolled into town late at night and was welcomed with a smile. We stayed there for 3 nights and Jo made us feel like we had lived in Dominical all our lives. Hint for travelers, she loves a good glass of yummy red wine. It doesn't get you a deal or anything like that, but it is fun to enjoy a glass of wine with her. Sleep in the hammocks one night but use but spray. She's done allot of work fixing up the rooms, very nicely done!

Amazing! Jo is a wonderful, gracious, personable host. Couldn't be happier! Wish I could give more stars.
