We booked this place last minute due to some plan changes and wow what a find. The hosts are amazing and so welcoming and knowledgeable of the local area, flora and fauna.

Recommended experience! Especially because you get half board with home made food, feels authentic and special (very tasty)!
The view from the living room is unbelievable and the owner is super nice!

Beautiful and peaceful mountain lodge. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Located in a quiet village above Turrialba quite garden backing onto volcano, with many song birds.

This is a delightful eco lodge set in well tended gardens, high above the town of Turrialba, that is popular with serious birdwatchers, nature lovers and tour groups.

Super nice place! Friendly service, very clean, comfortable beds and excellent location. It has a beautiful view of the mountains and volcano, even from the rooms in the first floor!

This would have been an excellent place to reserve for more than our single night. We had two units just above the main lodge. It was well equipped to actually prepare meals.

A lodge located higher up with a breathtaking view and in a remote area. The couple hosting it are incredibly sweet and helpful!

Such a lovely and quiet place! The room is located on the floor below the floor of the owner. The room is very spacious, clean and the bed is comfy.

This was our second stay in the Sunrise cabin. Unfortunately it rained most of the time we were there so we were not able to explore the property or experience the sunrise.

Everything was just great at Mia and Ranzels' beautiful lodge. The path up the mountain is a funny adventure (4x4 definitely needed), the cabins are well equipped, super clean and new.

Alma de Luna is a very nice hotel/guest house offering cleanliness, safety, and wonderful hospitality. All of the staff was wonderful.

We went there for a study abroad trip and they were all great to hosts. Rooms are spacious and the staff is very friendly.

This hotel is beautiful. It has an old fashioned but elegant design and everything smacks of quality and style.

From the entry lined with majestic palms to the gardens, pool and rooms. Everything is wonderful and staff look after all the details. Highly recommend if staying in the Highlands.

Whenever I visit Turrialba, I stay here. They provide a homey feel, and comfort. It’s in walking distance to many restaurants and stores.

I’ve been staying at this charming bed and breakfast in Turrialba, Costa Rica, every year for my work trips, and it’s truly my home away from home.

We have stayed at this hotel several times over the past 10 years. We have never had any issues. Service has always been good. The restaurant is good as well.

Can be a bit noisy given that route 2 is just outside the hotel. Great Wi-Fi and great AC.

Nothing less than fantastic!
I had a room with a balcony right in front of the bird area. Can it be better, having my tea while a Keel-billed Toucan is perching in the garden if front of you.

Lovely place, lovely people. After coming from the tropical lowlands it was a bit of a shock to be up at 9000 feet but we had a great time by the fireplace meeting other guests.

Iyok Ami is a very basic no-frills hostel but excellent value and a great experience if you're up for something different.

It felt like visiting your family’s house! Martha was super caring, her staff was on point, and the property is very lovely. I miss those incredible views!

Fantastic place to stay right outside of town! We were so thankful that we could stay in a private place that completely accommodated us for our honeymoon!

Stayed one night, and are so glad we did! I was travelling with my mom and 2-year-old daughter. We had a two-room suite with private bathroom. The rooms were comfortable and the gardens so beautiful!

A great option for birders that is much more affordable than similar lodges nearby. Rooms are comfortable and very clean.

Nice cabins in the middle of the orange trees. Very nice staff, family business… a little bit cold in the rooms, you may use the blankets that are provided.

My family had a great time during our stay here. The place is rustic and very cozy. Breakfast was very good and we had dinner there two nights.

Corredores del Pacuare is a charming lodge set in the beautiful mountains of Costa Rica.

This is a beautiful property and we had a lovely, very large suite. It had a spacious bathroom with tub & separate shower.

Clean rooms, excellent service. Great location for activities like whitewater rafting, rappelling, kayaking, volcano hikes, and more. Turrialba is close by for lots of options to eat.
