Montaña Linda Hostel Orosi Hostel

People are down to earth. The owners are from Canada and the Netherlands. Very natural setting and peaceful, most of the time. They offer 3 levels of living from dormitories to a whole house. They offer Spanish lessons for a very low price.

It's like staying in an unsupervised daycare centre. Owners kids and other children running around the hostel making a lot of noise and having no respect for guests personal space — spraying us with water, coming into our room when we're trying to get dressed, running around screaming when we're trying to study (as we're also enrolled in the Spanish school — so not the best place to study). I could deal with it for one day but this goes on all the time. The problem isn't that there are children there, it's just kids being kids, the problem is they're unsupervised and free to disturb guests at will. Otherwise I enjoyed my stay at this hostel — Nice location, good cooking facilities and the place is relatively clean. The owners are incredibly friendly people and there's also two really nice dogs. I want to give this place a good review but for the reasons stated I can't in all honesty recommend this place.

Nice place with a great family who run it. Comfortable beds, very secure, cleaners are always cleaning! Good socialable area. Kind of needs an update, especially outdoor kitchen but passable. Free coffee and lots of utensils to cook with. The toilets should have bins with lids on because it always smells. If you're looking for peace and quiet, you should consider elsewhere. Loud music can be heard every Saturday night, dogs always barking at any time of the day, and children running around. Comes with two sweet dogs.

Beautiful place this. Culture friendly people. The tour guides excellent. Chosen adventure. Nine aip lines, touring the villages thorough out this region, horse back riding I enjoyed very much. Interesting how the factory of Delmontie Banana factory. How they work outside watching pick them. Little details you do not think of. Using little bikes on this line and washing the bananas in this moving in large tubs. Coffee fields and the Ruins very interesting. The thing that interest myself. Was the Volcano Conservation Park. Its like walking on the moon.
