Location, facility, food but most of all, the hospitality. I have received the warmest, most genuine, and longest welcome I have ever had at a hotel I have been here for 30 days and I can't think of a better place to be quarantined.

Our family of six had a spectacular time. Jose greeted us with a tour of a little garden, where we saw Cayman, toucans, iguanas, tons of hummingbirds and beautiful flora. Their hospitality is unsurpassed. They helped us with multiple tours at a reduced rate. Our room consisted of 2 bedrooms, kitchen, livingroom, and bathroom. Excellent accommodation for the price. The staff were so friendly and helpful. It's so close to town, 1 min drive and 5 minute walk. We will definitely come back!

Warmest hospitality I've ever seen. Jose made us feel at home, helped us with our plans, and we got a good deal at the restaurant next door for some delicious casado and some fresh juice that was amazing. Price was amazing. Shower didn't get warm but it might have been some little switch I missed and we didn't ask about it because it was refreshing.

Arenal Xilopalo is a brand new family owned hotel that just opened about 5 months ago. Jose was so nice enough to accommodate my friend and I last minute, in the middle of the night when no one was able to check us in at our booked reservation. Jose offered us fresh orange juice and chocolate when we arrived and made sure we had everything we needed to feel comfortable. In the morning, he showed us around the resort and educated us on the animals, insects and plants that lives in the area. He's always smiling and made sure we were well taken care of for our 3 nights stay. I highly recommend staying at Arenal Xilopalo if you are looking to support a family owned establishment and a great night stay.
