Great hotel, bungalows really nice, great cleaning service, different and amusing towel animal everyday! Great views across grounds, loads of birds to see. Close to all activities, concierge really informative and helpful.

So friendly, every single person working there clean comfortable ros, the grounds are even better than the pictures. The staff helped book excursions. I was very happy.

It is a beautiful hotel, I recommend it, good view of the volcano, nice rooms, nice gardens and walking path, as well as the pool, the staff is very helpful especially Roberto del FD and Karolina from the Restaurant.

Beautiful setting, surrounded by nature and great views of Arenal Volcano. Food at Hojarascas Restaurant is yummy. Joselyn at front desk is nice and very helpful and Javier at the restaurant very attentive and helpful as well.

It is an amazing place, the Vulcan can be seen from basically every location at the hotel and the service provided was the most professional service I have ever had in a place like that.

This place is gorgeous and has beautiful bungalows that make you feel like you are all along in the rain forest. Everything is clean and well kept. Kembly and the rest of the staff were helpful and very friendly. The bartender was great as was breakfast and all the food served. What a special place this hotel is — definitely upgrade to the hot tub on the porch! oh and thank you for the sparkling wine and chocolate strawberries for our honeymoon!

This is an amazing hotel — right on the base of the volcano. Exceptional service and blends into the natural surroundings perfectly. 5-stars.

This was a beautiful place to stay, food was pretty good. However, during our second night there we were ROBBED in our rooms while we were sleeping. The next day we found out that 3-4 other families also has belongings taken from them. The security is awful. When we went to find them at 2am the only two “security” gentlemen on duty were sitting in the dark not doing anything at all. If you decide to stay at Lomas Del Volcan, I recommend you put everything including your cell phones in the safe while you are not in the bungalow and while you are sleeping. Lomas del Volcan did give us our money back and the receptionist was VERY helpful the next day so we could contact the appropriate parties, including my bank and credit card companies.

Stunning location, beautiful & well equipped lodges in the middle of nature. V friendly staff, wildlife in the hotel gardens, pool & a nice bar-what more could you want.

Clean and nice rooms. Nice pool with hot tub. The staff was accommodating and love the towel animals the cleaning help put on the beds daily! The restaurant was tasty also. Laid back atmosphere.

What an amazing hotel and staff! We got back 2 weeks ago back to the UK and I simply cannot get over the hospitality and beauty of this hotel. Starting from Roberto at Reception to the room lady who welcomes you back to the room having made different animals using bath towels! Roberto and the reception staff just went the extra mile on jusy about everything. The restaurant menu is quite limited but just looking at the volcano on one side and the rain forest on the other… all what you need is a glass of wine. The sound of birds and rain is just awesome. I cannot stop thinking of this hotel. We've travelled alot but this hotel and country will be very close to our hearts for a very, very long time. Thank you Roberto and all staff for making our stay a very pleasant and memorable one.

First time in Costa Rica! And oh boy this place is amazing we’ve been waiting for this moment and Lomas del Volcan didn’t disappoint! From our cabin, the surroundings, view of the volcano, our breakfast, and the friendly staff. It’s the best! We will never forget our stay here and will definitely come back! Delighted with the place… Beautiful with its cabañitas, its beautiful park, the dining room is open to the front and background, has a drink room Q works with Happy Hour from 4 to 7 HS with promotions. The parking is ample. The service from the concierge to the waiters: Super friendly, sympathetic and polite! We fell in love with the hotel; let's go back with my husband X more days…

Beautiful services, in a wooded park and populated by pretty birds (toucans). At the foot of the Arenal Volcano, which is not often visible unfortunately because of the clouds surrounding its Summit.

I love this place! Our room is so beautiful! The sounds and views around us are amazing. The food is very good too. The front desk staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. The pool and jacuzzi area is so inviting.

My husband and I went to Costa Rica for our honeymoon and 1 year anniversary and both times we stayed at Lomas del Volcano. We are going back to Lomas for the 3rd time this May for our two year anniversary. We haven’t found another spot in Costa Rica that can even compare. Their breakfast is the best and you can’t beat their piña coladas. Jonathan and Albert worked the front desk and they are so helpful and really try to make your visit easy and stress free. Both workers are extremely friendly and personable, we enjoyed talking to them every time we stopped in the lobby for a towel or while waiting for our taxi. Counting down the days till we are back there this May!

This place is a gem! Beautiful landscape grounds. Bed was a little uncomfortable. However, room was awesome, clean. Staff/service excellent. Breakfast buffet delicious. I had a great time here and highly recommend. I would stay here again.

This hotel is a fantastic place to stay when you visit La Fortuna. Situated a little bit outside of the city it offers a wonderful view towards the volcano (in case it is not cloudy and rainy ;-) ) Our bungalow (510) was the last one in the row and therefore you had brilliant sight to the nature around. We had some animal friends around as well. A cat, a coati and plenty of birds. Fantastic! Room was clean, very spacious and the terrace at the back of the bungalow just perfect. Breakfast was delicious and rich. The bar offered very friendly service and good drinks! Try the local rum.

Pictures don’t do it justice. The beauty here is indescribable. Everything from the Pina Colada’s to the little towel animals you get every day when your room is tidied up is spectacular. I recommend to anyone and EVERYONE!

Lovely hotel with friendly staff. It's tucked away about 1.5 km from the main road so it's quiet and surrounded by plants and birds. The whole hotel is on the edge of the mountain, so the roads are rather steep. Be prepared to make the climb for your meals! They also have golf carts to take you from the restaurant to your room if needed.

Delicious dinner with family. Service great and atmosphere outstanding. Only recommendation would be for this place to use fresh jalapeños vs canned in the Pollo Hindu.

Great value for money. Service was excellent from all staff. Mercedes our room cleaner delighted our daughter each day by making cute animals with our towels which I thought was a nice touch. Food was tasty with huge portions. All in all, a great time was had.

We cancelled our first hotel a week before our trip once we found out about this place, and we are glad we did! The resort is beautiful and peaceful, great breakfast, and the staff was MORE than accomodating. Highly recommend!

Stayed here two nights. Very beautiful location. The view of Arenal is like the photos and the cabins are clean and spacious. Great A/C and hot water and comfortable beds. The staff were all very friendly. We thought the restaurant was good, maybe a little pricey, but certainly not outrageous. The grounds are pretty and maintained nicely and you'll many colorful birds including plenty of hummingbirds.

The pool is lovely. The food is good. The breakfast is substantial and tasty. The grounds are beautifully landscaped. The staff is very helpful. Our bungalow is attractive with high wood ceilings. The showers make a full spray with nice pressure. We're having a lovely time.

This hotel is very tucked away and secluded. The landscaping is out of this world beautiful. The restaurant was okay, we found better food and better pricing in town. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and private. Overall this was a great, and extremely beautiful, place to stay while visiting La Fortuna.

Great hotel if you want to experience true nature of the rain forest. The rooms were very clean and staff was very helpful. The restaurant on the property was very good, but a bit pricey. Breakfast buffet was phenomenal. Pool and Jacuzzi was very clean and big enough to handle a large crowd. Definitely recommend.

Some of my greatest memories from Costa Rica will be from this hotel. Our little chalet was incredibly comfortable with air conditioning and and gorgeous architecture. One night there was a tremendously fun thunderstorm and we sat out on our little porch and played card games while enjoying the sound of the storm. Dining in their restaurant was such a fun experience because we were eating at the base of the volcano, and on clear days there is no better view! The food isn't amazing, but the view and the friendly service more than makes up for it. We enjoyed both the pool and the hot tub and the landscaping. The Wi-Fi is quite good. We also enjoyed the tours that we were able to book from the front desk; Las Lomas is conveniently situated and made having day-trips quite easy. We especially enjoyed Las Cavernas tour (spelunking) and canoeing down the Rio Frio. We really enjoyed our time here!

It is a charming hotel, its individual and very large cottages, give all the privacy that you need, the environment surrounded by garden everywhere, is idyllic and the views of the volcano without the best, the complex is large but very well organized. With pool, restaurants, bar, jacuzzi, etc.
The staff is very friendly and professional.

We loved staying at Lomas Del Volcan during our stay in CR! Great lodging with a reasonably priced, very tasty on site reasturaunt. Make sure and check out the 2 for 1 happy hour (we didn't know until a few days in). Nice outdoor pool and beautiful view of the volcano (on a clear day)

Today is our last day here and we loved every minute. The staff was amazing. Courteous, friendly and professional. The accommodations were perfect. The bungalows have all the amenities you good ask for. The views from the bungalows and grounds are priceless. The fact that every room is separate adds such a nice feeling of complete privacy. No annoying next door noise or walks down a hall to disturb you. During breakfast yesterday my view of the arenal volcano was breathtaking. Its a few km away from town where there are many restaurants, shopping, grocery stores for you to choose from. we used the travel agency Costa Rican vacations. They made the experience even more enjoyable with their 24 concierge and team of professionals that have been checking on us throughout the stay to help with tours and any questions we might have. we hope to return again to lomas Del volcan and definitely Costa Rica very soon. Jessica Smith (travel consultant) will be the only one we will be booking with for years to come. also, with the transportation the agency provided from the airport and the all day tour (hanging bridges, la fortuna waterfall, volcano ecological tour and tabacon springs — a must do! ) yesterday there has been no need for us to rent a car. I personally love the idea of renting my own vehicle, but I'm glad we didn't. Taxi service into town is cheap and the relaxation on property at Lomas Del Volcan has been great.

Beautiful secluded location. The best of both worlds. You are close to all the restaurants and shopping in La Fortuna, yet set back well away from the highway and any other properties. As for the volcano, it looms directly above, not many resorts are closer than this. Arenal has two sides, the green side (facing La Fortuna) and the rocky formerly active side facing the Northwest. There used to be a premium on the active side when the volcano was erupting each day, however with the recent inactivity, I prefer to be on the green side and closer to town. The staff here was very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. They did not add any additional fees to any of the activities that we booked and they never steered us wrong. The cabins were simple and very clean, each with a front and back porch. The restaurant and bar were very nice, open air with views of the mountain. After spending 4 days in Arenal, and we never saw another resort that we envied.
