The staff was kind and hardworking, so no issues there. Unfortunately, that’s where the positives end.
I booked seven nights at this hotel months in advance, excited to stay in what was once a beautiful family home in Cali. I knew it was a small, three-star hotel and kept my expectations realistic.
The first room had an ant infestation in the bathroom, and finding one on the bed led us to call staff. Spraying the area where the ants were coming from with poison unleashed hundreds more ants, and we had to change rooms.
The second room had no ants, but the toilet barely flushed. We were moved again the next morning, then moved *again* two nights later so another family could check in, and finally sent back to the “fixed toilet" room. At 2 a. M. The toilet hose exploded, flooding the room. My husband shut off the water line while soaking wet to prevent to rest of the hotel from flooding. We were moved again (at that point it was 3 am) to a room with an awful bed. After a few hours with zero sleep, we checked out two days early — on Christmas Eve — and scrambled to find a new hotel instead of spending time with family.
The final insult was the manager/owner: no apology, no compensation for the trouble, had an aggressive attitude, and acted like refunding unused nights was some kind of favor. A simple, professional apology would’ve gone a long way. Instead, I left feeling dismissed and disrespected.
I wouldn’t recommend this hotel.
My stay (4 nights) has been lovely. My room was spacios, very clean, quiet and the AC worked very well.
The staff was great, they make this Hotel extra Special!
The breakfast consisted of 4 options plus unlimited coffee, tea and fruit salad. I liked it very much.

What a wonderful gem in Cali! As many have said, you are greeted and treated as family from the moment you arrive. Don Enrique strives to ensure everything is in order and to your liking. Maria made sure the hot breakfast was as served well. The experience reminded us of staying at a nice European pension or Italian Villa. We enjoyed the Cali weather with a day by the pool, drinks and lunch served, enjoying nice music and surrounded by flowers. The room was comfortable, nice size, great rainfall shower, ac and ceiling fan. We had an early departure and Don Enrique himself made us breakfast to get us on our way.
