Hotel Intercontinental Cali by IHG

InterContinental Cali is without a doubt the hotel where I always like to stay. It’s a place full of personal memories for me — from school days, prom nights, parties, and many important moments throughout my life. Coming back here always feels special.
This time, the experience was absolutely excellent, as usual. Everything works perfectly, the facilities are comfortable, and the atmosphere feels familiar while still maintaining a top-level hotel standard.
I want to especially highlight Isabella’s attention at the Ambassador Lounge — simply outstanding. Her warmth, kindness, and attention to detail truly make a difference and elevate the entire stay. Isabella is amazing and represents the best of great service.
A hotel I always return to and will continue coming back to. Highly recommended. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Welcome to the intercontinental where the breakfast is amazing. The buffet is delicious. The service is fantastic and the scrambled eggs must be laced with some kind of drug because I couldn’t get enough of them. Make sure you use the picante (spicy) sauce.
The only place where the Intercontinental fell short unfortunately was the shower. There was some strange issue with the plumbing regarding how the shower does the waterfall versus the handheld so I ended up taking a shower by crouching down under the handheld and all of a sudden I didn’t feel like I was in a classy place anymore. So other than the plumbing, the service, the room, we’re all great. If you come, stay here, just check your shower first. You might want to switch to another room if your shower looks like a cabin in the titanic.

Amazing hotel with amazing staff who were so friendly and helpful. A special thanks to Mariley on reception who was always able to help with any requests. I had a sore knee and the staff were so kind. Providing in buckets of ice. Thoroughly recommend as a great place to stay.

Marieley at the desk was amazing. The night time managers were the best as well. Santiago the manager was a life saver. My fiancé and I were sick and I have never had that happen to me before while traveling. They took care of everything. The doctor came here to the hotel and took care of everything. Prescriptions, medicine on the spot and diagnosis. We felt so much better a few hours later. It was seriously incredible. The hotel is one of the most beautiful in this city. Felt very safe from day one. They have guards outside too so you are always protected if you’re worried if you’re traveling alone. If I ever come back, this is where I’ll be staying. Top notch hotel.

Came here to eat some Sushi and absolutely loved it! Isaac helped me choose some of the best rolls that they have and they were delicious!

I stay here June 30, 2025 thru July 5, 2025. I was in the country from the United States to get my porcelain veneers done. I definitely recommend service was 10/10 if you just want to stay at the hotel all day they have 5 restaurants, gourmet breakfast buffet, swimming pool, kiddy pool, a spa, a casino, and a coffee shop. Everything I tasted was so good. The customer service was very nice very professional. My room was a nice size, very clean, and my window view was really nice over looking the city. I will definitely choose this hotel again if I ever go back to Cali, Columbia.

I recently stayed at this so-called 5-star property for four days. While the first two days were quite enjoyable and lived up to expectations, the experience took a sharp and unsettling turn during the latter half of my stay.
On the third day, I politely asked the front desk if there was an area where I could warm up my leftover food. The manager informed me there wasn’t, and advised me to check with the restaurants on the property. I followed his advice and approached one of the restaurants where I had dined the day before. Despite offering to order again, I was told no.
Hoping for a simple solution, I walked to a nearby pizzeria where the staff kindly agreed to help. However, things took a bizarre and frustrating turn when a woman in a red vest—who had followed me from the previous restaurant—spoke with the pizzeria chef. Moments later, he came to my table and informed me that my food had been thrown away, without my permission. I was stunned. When I asked why, he gave no response. I immediately canceled my pizza order and returned to my room, shaken and confused.
I called the hotel manager from my room to report the situation. At first, he claimed he had no idea what had happened but would look into it. Later, he called back saying the chef did not throw my food away, and he had housekeeping return it to me. What I received looked as though it had been pulled out of the trash.

Very happy to have chosen Intercontinental for our 6-day stay in Cali. The junior suite was spacious and available for a very reasonable price. The beds were very comfortable and the room was quiet and well air conditioned. The room was kept impeccably clean. The location of the hotel is ideal. The staff was always friendly and attentive. The Wi-Fi was strong and the connection was fast. Many restaurants in the area are within walking distance, and no problem getting a taxi if needed.

Isaac took care of me this evening. The service was prompt, friendly, and the food was good. Most of all, the music was fantastic. They played Michael Jackson music and it’s was such a vibe! I didn’t need to leave the hotel for great food or music! Thank, Isaac!

I went to Cali and chose your hotel. It was the best choice I could have made. I spent three days in your hotel, and everything and everyone were top-notch.
I want to personally thank Captain Carlos at Bulerias Restaurant, Socorro at El Patio, and Jherson at the front desk. My breakfast was really good, and Jesica was always smiling and providing excellent service. They are the best and made my visit unique. Great service and great people.

A very very nice hotel in Cali. Clean, comfortable rooms. Excellent and warm staff. I was grateful that they recognized my loyalty to IHG on arrival. Nice pool and during Semana Santa we were grateful that they had a bouncy house up and kids activities organized. Also, a very nice and large selection of food — from breakfast in the morning to an assortment of restaurants later in the day. If I was to give one suggestion, it would be about the smoking; people have a right to smoke, but it would be very very very nice if they did not have a trashcan with ashtray right next to the pool and area with ping pong where kids played. Smoking is harmful to your health, and also to those around you, and we were definitely breathing in second-hand smoke at different moments during our stay. All told though, a very nice hotel. Thanks again.

Very courteous and friendly staff. Good location. We actually watched a soccer game w. Featuring the local team, they had a good set up and although the place was super booked there was rm. And staff continued to do their best. Bkfst, lunch and dinner were also good score. Only thing would be if the food and drinks from water to whatever would come out faster, but taste was good.
This tome. Was family, next time maybe family or my motorcycle riding club as we travel around quite a bit in search of adventure. Last time we were in CALI was approx. 30yrs. Ago. Now it may be w. In a couple months.

But very noise in the room from a very old air conditioner. You can't sleep without & can't sleep with.
The bed very uncomfortable.
Bathroom very weird when the toilet under the sink.

I stayed at the Intercontinental hotel in Cali, Columbia for two nights. My experience was fantastic. I stay in numerous hotels throughout the year as an avid traveler and I can say without a doubt this was the best customer service experience I have ever had. The entire staff was exceptional but Ms. Astrid in particular, was outstanding. Every request I made, she immediately tended too and was extremely pleasant and helpful. She really loves her job and it shows. The hotel is located right in the middle of downtown where all the tourist attractions, restaurants and bars are within walking distance. I walked everywhere and felt totally safe. Furthermore, the bed linen and towels are of the finest quality. This same hotel anywhere else would have been at least $250 a night however, in Cali the price was $100 a night. A real bargain. I will definitely stay here again and I highly recommend to all. Thank you Intercontinental for a wonderful experience!

The best thing about this property is its location. Very easy to walk to the sights and around. Lots of clubs and restaurants in the immediate area.
The bad.
Its dated looks loke 1960s inside.
The gym is average at best and very dirty. Reception is extremely slow. We were there for 4 days and asked for extra towels as we only got 1 of everything (there was 2 of us in the room). Never got them. We had to hunt out the maids and get it ourself. Same thing with the complimentary water. We asked for it it never came had to get it ourself as well from the maids. Asked for hotel taxi pickup on checkout it never came we had to flag one down. Lots of confusion amongst the staff.
The servers in the breakfast are great and the staff controlling the elevators are great but everything else is below average. Especially for a 4.5 star hotel. I wont be back personally.

Tonight enjoy a nice drink (Old Fashion) and was recommended the Mini Burgers, which were very delicious. After, the dessert I chose was also very good. The service and atmosphere was very nice. I would recommend if you want to enjoy a place not crowded but also has the good food and drinks.

Excellent, amazing, perfect.
The hotel has five restaurants that feel like seven when you add dessert and room service. Each experience was positive and truly five-star. The swimming pool, gym, and SPA are what those who want to stay fit need. Perfect for businesses, couples, families, or anyone focused on lifestyle and health.
The place has the most professional and charming employees in each department, everything is clean. People like Guillermo, Victor, and Astrid are truly special people. Astrid shows all the great values of the whole team. Thank you!
