Pros: big common area to relax. Volunteers are lovely.
Cons: there are many misquotes on this property. Bathrooms have a lot of mold and are quite dirty. The dorms are extremely hot and only the bottom bunks have curtains. Beds are extremely hard. Very small lockers, that can only fit a purse but not your backpack. So the room is quite crowded with all the bags. While there is breakfast, it’s very basic. Just eggs and a piece of toast. Not a very social hostel.
It’s expensive considering the quality of the hostel is very low.

I want to start by saying the two staff members who helped with the situation were extremely friendly and helpful.
Other guests have had positive experiences here so this is just based on ours.
But myself and my partner stayed in a private room (Room name: Mira-Ve) on the 4th of July 2025 and is absolutely riddled with bed bugs.
When the manager was called they blamed us for the infestation which is highly unlikely as we just spent a week in a very nice hotel and never had an issue. My body is fully covered in bites and now we have the issue of still finding bed bugs in our luggage. Even after fumigation and heat control (that the hostel provided).
As I understand that writing a bad review can hurt a business, my past few days have been extremely unpleasant and I don't wish for someone else to go through the same experience.

Worst hostel I’ve ever stayed in. Dirt everywhere, hairs in the bed sheets, pubes in the shower. Floating flanks of wood in the shower, toilets stink of poo all day. Metal curtain railing fell on my friend in the night. Fan in room broken. Bed sheets and towels dirty. Musty smell everywhere. Glass doors between shower and toilet cubicles — who does that? Severely in need of a clean. Staff sleeping in hammocks in garden and seemed high as a kite all the time?! No instruction on how to open the gate late at night so we were locked out. No lockers for bags. Poor kitchen equipment, couldn’t even find a cup. Don’t even get me started on breakfast. Would not recommend.
