⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ — A Japanese Sanctuary in the Heart of Taichung.
My second stay at Kashotsu Bettei, and this time I brought my wife — she was absolutely charmed, and honestly, so was I all over again.

There's no way I'm ever staying elsewhere in Taichung ever again. Nothing else you could possibly want from a hotel.

Date visited: end of November.
The location was center to a lot of the places we wanted to go to (chun shui tang, Michelin rated beef noodle spot, miyahara, several bakeries and cafes, mall, etc.

This hotel perfectly balanced retro style with modern comfort.

Convenient location (close to night market/convenient stores and transit available close by to department stores), clean room/bedding and shower with taxi service available downstairs at the lobby.

Had a pleasant stay with my family. Location slightly away from the night market but Uber works very well here.
Rooms: Clean, comfy, cosy but would be great if you can add more pillows.

This hotel is very clean with some artistic touch. It’s within walking distance of Fengchia Night Market. I would come back to stay here if I visit Taichung again.

The room and bathroom were both spacious and comfortable, very clean and well-maintained. The bed was also very comfortable, and there was even a sofa area in the room.

My stay at Hotel Howard has been absolutely wonderful! From the moment I arrived, I was welcomed with warmth and genuine hospitality.

One of the best value for money hotels I have ever stayed at. It was not expensive but everything was very good quality. The communication before I arrived was excellent, check-in was good.

PROS.
1) Hotel is located close to the Taichung Train station as well as malls and eateries.

I really enjoyed my stay here, especially thanks to the free room upgrade. The front desk staff spoke good English and were very friendly, which made check-in easy and pleasant.

Important to note: Parking lot for this hotel is at 全國電子 (the electronics shop). I called to ask the concierge and they told me that there is NO partner parking lot with Carrefour across the street.

A very nice hotel — previously stayed here in March 2024 and opted to come back.
Rooms are not huge but they are tastefully decorated, clean & comfortable.

Nice and vibey hotel. Reception always available, close to Taichung train station. Love the heated toilets and comfortable bed!

In truth, I booked this hotel because I didn't have many other options. I didn't go in with many expectations, but I left super impressed!
Firstly, the room was fabulous.

Kids friendly:
I stayed here with my 5y. O little boy, he enjoyed a lot! He went to 2/F indoor playground for 2 days. There was spacious outdoor playground as well.

Stayed for one night, and my kids loved it. Rooms were clean and cozy with everything you need. Spaciou outdoor activity area with plenty of things to play with.

Walkable distance — about 10 min to Fengjia night market. Quiet rooms if you keep the windows closed and 7-11 is opposite!

Had a great 3 nights stay at Injoy Hotel.
Rooms were very nice and spacious. Shower was great. Room overlooked the road but was still very quiet.

Was here for several days while visiting my dad — an exceptional experience. Stay on the 17th floor to enjoy club service offering private dining and cocktails.

IC Taichung delivered a luxury and comfortable 4-night stay in the Midtown Suite, offering excellent value in a convenient West District location.

Stayed here for 4 nights and the hotel exceeded my expectations!

Very well situated in Taichung, its near to the attraction and very convenient for us to take public transport. I think this is the best choice I made after comparing few options.

Rooms were very modern with basic amenities. The entire hotel was quite new in an otherwise old central Taichung.

Loved our stay here. The rooms are spacious and well appointed. The hotel is walking distance to a lot of great food and coffee options.

Economical solution for solo travellers, very good value for money. The smaller doubles are very small and only suited for couples who already know each other very well.

Very nice of the convince city hotel that near the centaur train stations good place and recommend to each tourist when came to Taichung city the good hotel.

Impressed with this boutique hotel. Spotless, love wood flooring without carpets, open wardrobe, luggage rack, free snacks and bottled water.

What a wonderful find! We did a quick overnight stop here and will definitely be returning. The staff were very accommodating of our daughter, offering extra bedding and very quick service.

The Windsor Hotel Taichung delivers a satisfying experience thanks to its exceptional service team.

Room was great. Very large, and shower had very good water pressure, AC was cold. Bed is huge and very comfortable. Pool and gym are very nice.

Room is very big and clean, we had the Lego room for this kids and they absolutely had a blast!

Every room in the hotel was very unique & nice European style! The service are great! The room also very big! I will recommend to my friends & relatives! Suitable for family too!

Room was spacious and clean. Air conditioner was great, blowing air directly downwards at the corridor (perfect for drying clothes overnight). Staff were friendly and helpful.

Totally enjoyed our stay here. The interior of the entire hotel is very well designed and is super delightful; it brightens our day whenever we step back into the hotel.

Hotel is so conveniently located near to night market. There are also few high shops nearby for you to shop. Room is spacious enough (2 queen size beds) for the 4 of us.

Very good hotel.
Location is good for shopping: Yizhou night market is opposite the road. Many trendy shops and a huge department store just down the road. Very centralised to places of interest.

My first time in Taichung and the service here is pretty good! we requested for extra pillows and toothbrush with no additional charges, cleanliness is also decent just that the toilet is a bit small.

Allen & Aimee are very helpful and friendly! They make us feel welcomed.

I haven’t had the pleasure of staying at this hotel, however I have received amazing service from staff here — that made my day.
My partner is from Taichung and we finally returned home after 5 years.
