Totally enjoyed our stay here. The interior of the entire hotel is very well designed and is super delightful; it brightens our day whenever we step back into the hotel. Recommend everyone to explore the entire hotel!
The room was nice and comfy though I did notice a slight musky smell but its not too overpowering. Really enjoyed the breakfast, it was really yummy!
The staff were all very friendly and helpful! Also tried the slide on our last day and it was actually super fun. Would recommend it especially for families with children!

Located close to the older/original side of town to get the authentic feel of Taichung. They were super sweet and were very nice to my daughter who went on the slide every day, many many times. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was simple but nice and clean. Free water and slippers. Free breakfast, but very strict about ordering the night before and difficult to make changes. There is a vegetarian meal so that is great. The food is great for adults. For kids, they might be a little picky (for example, waffle with yogurt dill sauce on top). Other than the meal restrictions, I am very happy with our stay at this hotel. We left items in the room and they made sure to keep it for us. Very happy and will be back.

A fun, quirky place to stay. As an update to earlier reviews, adults can now use the slide that runs from the 2nd floor to the lobby ;). Our room (standard double) was spacious with a really nice bathroom. Breakfast was enormous — you select from among 4 choices when you check in. It seemed like there was a bit more street life closer to the train station but there were plenty of buses to get you around the city. And Taichung’s attractions are very spread out.

Very clean, modern interior. Friendly and helpful reception staff who greeted us with smiles and info for the neighbourhood (one of them spoke smooth English too! ) The modern design, colour, the slide and Christmas gift are all nice touches.
Location is convenient, just close to night market and cinema. Room is clean and well-furnished.
Only problem is the soundproofing — Can hear other rooms water pipes.

The hotel and room matched the online photos perfectly. The front desk staff were friendly, and the room was clean. However, the quadruple room felt a bit cramped for four people. A significant downside was the lack of mirrors—there was only one in the bathroom, which was quite inconvenient. Additionally, the door lacked a peephole, and the soundproofing was subpar. Breakfast was monotonous, with the same menu throughout our five-night stay. On the positive side, the hotel is in a quiet location with a few convenience stores and street food options within walking distance. The lobby and chill area had great aesthetics, adding a nice touch to the overall experience.

Would totally come back. Awesome modern interior. It was worth the extra money to get the bigger room that comes with a small lounge for those with kids. The only thing I would note is that you can hear the upstairs room showering. Other than that, very nice and quiet.
Location is great. There's plenty of food around you. Some great restaurants just around the corner as well. The hotel provides a small map for you in your room telling you both attractions and food to eat.
It's also not too long of a walk to Yizhong night market.
Breakfast is set meals, not buffet but absolutely amazing and tasty. Kids meal is also pretty well balanced and healthy.
But the highlight for kids has to be the giant slide which opens at 10am. Our son had a blast going down there multiple times. There's a chill zone to just chill and read and a blank camvas for guests to use dot stickers to make an artwork.
There's also a family reading room area with children's books in Chinese, Japanese and English.
Basement floor contains a vending machine with cup noodles next to a water dispenser so you could make cup noodles late in the night without waking up your roomates. Next to the restaurant is another chill area, more for adults.
You can also rent bicycles from the hotel but it cannot carry kids so not really an option if you have small kids.

This is a wonderfully designed boutique hotel with friendly, helpful staff that go above and beyond.
The hotel is well located, close to markets and many other attractions.
The breakfast here is fantastic and the best I've had anywhere in Taiwan.
They do have a slide at this hotel in the foyer and yes you can have a go.
The rooms are tastefully decorated and very comfortable. Everything here has been well considered. I would stay here again for many reasons. The food and staff.

This hotel is rebuilt built from an old hotel, looks cool from outside and lobby is ok. However, once we entered our room, it smelled musty. We were informed this is a non smoking hotel, and there will be penalties for smoking, but we can clearly smelled cigarettes in our rooms. We had two adjacent rooms, both with cigarette smell. The toilet in one of the room smell of faeces, we can’t even bear to be in it.
The staffs were helpful when we feedback to them. Air filters were sent to our units, and air fresheners as well. Unfortunately these actions did not help as these are piping and air circulation problems.
Location in older part of the city is convenient, right next to night market, and many shops. But we prefer more happening places with more restaurants and trendy shops. Breakfast is quite good.
We booked for 3 nights but decided to cut short our stay as it was too unbearable.

Stayed for two nights. Friendly staff. Check-in was smooth. Lobby had an adult slide and it was chic looking with some quirky chairs and neon sign. Room was nice. There was a nespresso machine, and the usual kettle, fridge and safe. Bathroom a bit small and didn't have much space for two people to lay out toiletries. Good location. Breakfast was included, but it was more like lunch with mushroom soup and sandwich options, which we found strange. We skipped breakfast one morning and ate at a nearby place. Overall recommend staying here.

Unique pop culture and fun hotel; I stayed for two nights. No problem accessing, and they have a designated car park area 10 mins walk from the hotel. Next door is a cinema where you can catch a late-night show.
Oh, they have the Japanese bidet, which I am happy with and small funky toiletries 😆 lastly, I tried their slide, realised that I put on weight in my Taiwan trip, and got stuck in the middle of their on-site slide, though😭
Street food and night market are within walking distance. I hope this helps!

The trendiest hotel I've ever stayed at. The staff were incredibly helpful, and the slide was uniquely something I've never seen before. It's close to a number of cafes and restaurants. Our room came with a breakfast voucher for everyday we stayed at the hotel and it was delicious. My only qualm was that there's no laundromat inside the hotel but a small walk to the laundromat. Other than that, I'd definitely book this hotel again.

Good location and design, absolutely a great choice for you when you visit Taichung.

This hotel was really good and fun from the slide (wish I would have rode it! ) to the unique interior design to the cute toiletries suitcase. I would definitely stay there again! It was next to a really nice bar as well, so it allowed us to easily indulge in a few good nightcaps. The location to what we wanted to see in town wasn't ideal but I don't know that any hotel would have been. Everything was really spread out in Taichung, so I would get a private driver, if I went again.

I would totally recommend this funky designed hotel to anyone visiting Taichung. Loved every little personal touches and great value for money. Staff were heaps friendly, great service and the restaurant does an awesome set dinner and nice paring wines.

Great food, excellent service, 5 star facility with 4 star price!

Fantastic stay, the hotel is like a hipster's wet dream. There were only two downsides: the slide at the lobby is only for kids, and not kidults; and parking is off site, a short walk away but still not the greatest if it rains. But the parking issue can't be helped as it is a city-wide problem with population density.
Room was very stylish and comfortable, with thoughtful touches here and there. Bathroom amenities came in a cute clear mini-suitcase.
The bar next door looked awesome, but didn't get a chance to have some drinks there. Maybe next time!
