I had such a nice stay here, Marcus and his wife Fran were incredible hosts with wonderful recommendations for hiking, sight seeing, iglesias, restaurants, and more.

I had an incredible stay at the Refugio Ballena Hostel. Marco and Fran are a lovely duo, full of energy and smiles, who are eager to share both their home and island.

Very comfortable rooms, clean and well-equipped kitchen and a cool little common area.

Great choice for Castro. Delightful and helpful staff, with fluent English spoken. Thank you for your help with what to do during my stay in Chiloe. The other main highlight was of course the cat!

Staying at the Palafito hostel was an excellent introduction to the Chiloe Islands. Our room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was great with fresh bread every morning of our stay.

I stayed with my family, we had a great hospitality experience at the palafito. Comfortable rooms, beds, pillows. Room with an amazing view, always warm and cosy.
