Booked a private room so that after weeks of staying in hostels, I could have a room to myself and a fully private shower experience. Was embarrassingly excited, but no hot water at all. The mattress is really old and quite awful tbh and the room wasnt cleaned very well — found an empty sweets bag in the shelving which should have been fairly obvious. The walls are also super thin so you will hear everything — I've paid to have a private room for 2 nights just to have the same noisy experience as a hostel, and even worse, a wetwipe shower. In terms of the location, its near everything, but I've also heard more sirens in Castro than I have anywhere else on my travels…
The staff are friendly and stayed late for my check in though which was appreciated, but the overall experience was really disappointing and I would encourage you to book literally anywhere else. Laundry is also overpriced and doesn't come back very clean.
