Called ahead of time to see if we could check in 30 minutes early. No answer. Once we arrived with our two dogs they made us wait until exactly 3 for check-in, which was fine. Then we entered our room and both beds had hair in the sheets. The blankets had stains all over them. We tried to call front desk and no answer, again. Then requested new sheets. Waited another 30 minutes. Then we’re told we needed to leave our room since they weren’t pet friendly. They proceed to tell us we’ll pay an additional $30 a night for the two dogs. Finally 45 minutes later we’re in a room. Again hairs all over the bed linens and stains. Not even worth requesting new sheets. Completely unsatisfied with this place and definitely not worth the price.

We arrived close to midnight after ferry from USA. Upon checking in we found our room to be extremely filthy and mould throughout the bathroom, it was also noisy due to an AC vent outside the window. We requested a better room which was given to us but it really wasn't much better. The beds seemed as if they had already been slept in but the front desk girl did change the sheets for us. It was late and we were exhausted so we eventually got to sleep about 2am. We were originally booked for 4 nights but there was no way we were staying at this place. In the morning we saw that the pool was far from being able swim in and extremely unsafe and unhealthy. The carpets looked as if they have never been cleaned. This place was so disgusting that our local authorities would close it down. What ever you do just don't stay here. By the way we found somewhere cheaper and clean and closer to downtown.

3 pm check in but room wasn't ready until almost 5 pm! Staff were less than helpful. Pool wasn't open even though its June so my kids were super disappointed. Room was in pretty rough shape. Location was convenient but unfortunately that isn't enough to bring me back here.

This has to be the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. Rooms are old and dirty, sheets were stained and not changed. Bathroom tub and grout had mould, toilet was not cleaned. Not to mention the staff at the front desk was very rude. Would not recommend for anyone to stay at this hotel. Recommending to our corporate headquarters and Amex travel on to use this hotel. Could not wait to check out. Not even worth one star!

The hotel itself isn’t bad, and I don’t get the bad reviews. You get what you pay for, however I do not like drunk people yelling. That’s what you get when there’s a pub and you’re on Gorge rd, the staff could be better though. I’ve literally been on hold for the 5th day in a row with no answer. The staff is always sitting in a room and let the phone ring, what if it was an emergency? They’re condescending and honestly just rude. I’d rate higher if it wasn’t for the staff.

Absolutely disgusting. My sister and I stayed here. Both of us frequent travellers, her to other countries. This is by far the dirtiest hotel room we've ever stayed in! We first noticed her comforter was riddled with stains and other filth. So we asked for new linens. At that point we started noticing everything else and it was so bad we almost switched hotels. There are so many smear and splatter marks around the room. Two in particular as seen in the photos were so bad, and obvious. One at the door and one under the light switches at the bathroom sink. How these are missed is completely unimaginable. We reported these as well and was assured there was a note on the file for housekeeping the next day. Additionally we found dirty linens in the closet from the previous stay. Upon returning to our room the next day ALL CONCERNS WERE STILL THERE (other than linens). The only things that had been done were beds made and garbages emptied. There was still makeup "dust" in the sink, dirty toilet and bathtub. This was the first and last time staying at this hotel, usually staying at the Coast Hotel. We were trying to be budget friendly this trip and it is the only regret I have. My sister who is very familiar with hostels recommends staying there if you want budget friendly as it will likely be cleaner. I will add we spoke to the manager, apparently, upon check out. She wasn't aware of any of this which was very irritating. Upon giving her the details we were offered 10% off… $50.

Polite reception staff. This hotel is in need of a major renovation. Very definitely showing it’s age. The beds are worm out. Carpets are dirty. Rooms are dingy and smell moldy. Easy to see the Ramada sign but hard to find the correct driveway. The parking lot is a disaster.

This hotel is relatively inexpensive and the location is superb. It's close to everything. There's transit nearby, the galloping goose is a short distance away, there's a fab restaurant on site. Rooms are clean and comfortable. The staff is very helpful. I will be back.

Old and run down. The staff was nice enough and the price was low. The beds and bedding where clean. In the room The table wobbled so bAd you couldn’t use it. The pillows where flat, but the mattress was nice and firm. The water jumped from freezing to burning hot so quick I had to have the worlds quickest shower. Had to wash the coffee pot before I could use it cause it was still dirty. Who ever installed the air conditioner cut to big of a hole and then installed a filler thing but didn’t bolt it in so there is a hole in the wall to the outside. Had been hoping to stay for 3 nights but after 1 we are going to try our luck down the road tonight. We will see how it goes.

We are seniors and stayed at this hotel on Saturday night and they made me charge my credit card for $150.00 as a security deposit, even thought I had pre-paid for the room. Upon checking out the front desk clerk said the amount was credited back on my card. It is now 10 days later and the charge is still showing up ion my credit card. I have never had this happen at other hotels I have stayed at. Beware of the Ramada!

Very disappointed in my stay at the Hotel. Dirty, old and unkept best describe. The nightclub below my room closes at 1 am but the parking lot seems to be the after hours party spot. I was up most the night checking on my vehicle as I was sure it would be broken in to. The Ramada name used to hold a certain higher standard of lodging in the industry. That is no longer the case with this gem representing Victoria.

If you’re working out of town this place is the best. Liquor store, pub and a restaurant all in one place. Get off work and you don’t need to leave the premises because everything you need is here.

Look, the price is great. Service is fine, sometimes special request fall through the cracks. But it's well located and priced. And taken at face value, one of the better deals out there.

This hotel is perfect if you are looking for an inexpensive hotel. It is clean and well maintained, the beds are comfortable and the staff are very friendly and helpful. My only complaint is the lack of staff for getting the rooms done on a daily basis. It would get done but very late in the day. Other than that, we enjoyed our stay and will stay again in the future. The one thing we really enjoyed and would give 5 stars to was the Crows Restaurant. A hidden gem with excellent food and service. Even if we didn't stay at the hotel in the future, we would definitely return to this restaurant without thinking twice about it. Hopefully, more and more people will realize that this restaurant exists and is an excellent place to dine.

Tiny bugs on bed. Come to room, and bedding is on a pile on the floor, just a stained mattress cover on the bed. Stains and dirt everywhere. Hoodlums hang around parking lot. Staff doesn't clean rooms every day. Stuffy. Loud neighbors. Bare minimum TV channels. Elevator has been down for over a month already. Absolutely the worst Ramada I've ever seen. You're gonna hate life if you stay here.

Adequate. Old facility but contain comfortable and clean atmosphere, rooms, and amenities. Taken 1 star away for lack of parking lot, no room services on my 3 nights stay. Will stay again if price remain at $59/nt.

Pretty centralized in Victoria. Good rates on the rooms. Staff is friendly. Bar and restaurant are good. Right on a couple of bus routes.

This hotel was a case of:" you get what you pay for". The attached restaurant was not helpful or friendly and wouldn't let me use a cup in our room. The no smoking signs were largely ignored. The room was clean, if not new. The saving grace was that the front desk was very helpful and polite.

Check in was pleasant. Parking close to entrance. Our room was clean, king size bed, lots of good towels, Wi-Fi and cable TV worked well. The big downside was listening to our neighbor talking and cursing the entire time we were there. The sounds from his room came right through the (closed) adjoining doors. Also the parking lot below our room was noisy early in the morning. Probably would not stay here again.

An excellent three star hotel. The staff were pleasant and helpful. The beds were comfortable and clean. The decor is older 1980s but the environment does not smell or have bugs. Overall I would stay here again for a budget night.

The hotel is decent with good size rooms. Pool is nice as well. Although if your room is at the back then getting the luggage is cumbersome as from front it's the same level with walk all the way down the corridor or park at the back take your luggage up the stairs to second floor.

Hate to put up a bad review because the guy up front was polite and friendly. I'd stay here if I was on a budget and not on my honeymoon. Not what I'd call romantic. We ended up taking one look at our room and left for another hotel. The staff was great but they are not getting support from Ramada. Owners need to put money back into this place soon. Lots of needed repairs.

This place was ridiculous. Overcharge for a cigarette scented room. Our bed sheets had hair, gross yellow stains, traces of blood and everything you could imagine in them. When we asked for new sheets they made us put them back on. There was garbage stuffed in the air conditioner and two strands of 8 inch hair in the shower. Too long to be mine or my roommate that night. Would recommend sleeping on the street over this place. Horrible Staff. Horrible Room. Horrible Everything, the place was a mess.

Zero stars. WE were given a room that reeked of urine so bad I nearly threw up when I opened the door. Didn't even get our bags in the room. The halls were dirty the room Was small and gross. I'm surprised Ramada allows their name to even be attached to such a sight. We tried to check in early around 1 pm but couldn't as the room wasn't ready. When we left to do some sight seeing the first thing we saw as we left was a drunk man chucking a beer can into the middle of the road. Highly unimpressed. It's not 837 and we just checked into the double tree by Hilton who gave us a discount for the situation we encountered at Ramada!

What a dive not clean just after check in 2 people were letting the desk clerk know that there rooms were a mess and that they wouldn't be staying another night. The washer is broke on the 4th floor and full of water that stinks so bad it makes you gag the ice machine is also broke the a/c does work very well so it's hot! Do not recommend.

Expensive with extremely bad service. Before you actually you should check all the functions in your room. Ex. Quietness, air conditioning, water drain, dryer and so on It maybe not working correctly. And if you ask to make up the room you better not expect too much. You might have to carry your own vaccum. For the check in only 1 staff was handling all the issues, you might also have to wait for long to check in. Highly not recommended.

Of all the hotels I've stayed in, and there have been hundreds, this is one. That's the best I can say about this place. To be fair, after one night, they moved us to a better room and did discount the first night. Here is our tale. Took a one bedroom suite for two mid-week nights at a total cost of about $460. It was very hot and we checked in looking forward to our air conditioned suite. Turned on the air conditioning in the parlour are and then tried to do the same in the bedroom. No air in the bedroom. But, there was a window. Opened it and saw an undersized screen with a big gap at the top ready to fall out. We were heading out for dinner so called down for a fan and we left. Later, on the way back to the room I asked about the fan — none left. So I explained the situation to an incredulous clerk. She came up to see, gave us a 30% discount, told us we would be moved tomorrow morning and to speak to a manager in the morning. Some slept on lumpy beds with the window open until workmen started cursing on the roof right outside the window. Simmered until about 9:00 or 10:00 then went down and asked for the manager. The person I was referred to said "first off all, each suite has only one air conditioner — some are in the parlour and some the bedroom. So when they say "air conditioned suites" I guess they mean "partially air conditioned". Then he said "I am not authorized to give discounts". Turned out he was the front desk supervisor and he tried calling the manager.

Very dated. Carpets in the hallway are filly. I mean beyond dirty. There's mold on the ceiling of our shower. Location in town is the Only reason to stay here. Old sheets that are paper thin, and furniture /appointments that are 10 years past the time they should have been replaced /updated. Ramada used to be a good place, and I expected more than this for the price. There's not even a continental breakfast offered, just a few apples and mints in a bowl are reception. I've been in motel 6's that were nicer than the Ramada Victoria. If you're going to be staying in Victoria and lodging matters to you, look elsewhere!

Staff was very unprofessional from the moment we walked in. Had friends in the lobby and were entertaining them over taking care of our needs at 11pm. Was given a room on the first floor that had a door connecting to a neighboring room. The neighboring room had a dog that would not stop barking and scratching. (Why not put a room with a dog away from people and give them a room without a door? ). After giving up on trying to sleep and checking out I let the lady at the front desk know that there was a loud dog next door, she had a smirk on her face apologizing saying "well you should of called us. " Because that's exactly what I want to deal with at 5am. Would never stay here again.

Hello they guys are fraud. I booked a room and they guys took security money from us. Its been one month they have not given my security money back. I am calling them many time and every time they tell me they they are putting note on my account. I am very much pissed off as I dont have any time for all this bullshit just to take my money back. Rich guys please check you account statements as this would have happen with lot of guys. And ramada just return my security money back as your room was also stinking like dead rat.

Fair price, spacious room, pool and air conditioning, full bathroom, mini fridge. This room had what we were looking for. The bed was a little firm but it was really comfortable. We used our CAA for a discount. The staff were very friendly.

Front desk was friendly and accommodating, room was clean, everything was in working order. Pretty good location.

Great staff, good location with car. Parking good. Not a five star hotel but clean and adequate. Great price. Would visit again.

Terrible service and terrible staff. I was there for one night with my out of town family and they went back a little disgruntled. Their upkeep is not the best. It was easy to find the hotel and the location was conveniently close to downtown. But other than that try and find something else.

Older building, with a restaurant downstairs and a bar nearby. Not too loud, beds are deftly comfortable.

Not quite as expected. But I think good for the price paid. Corridor is not fancy enough and there is a particular smell in rooms.

Terrible hotel. My room appears to be directly on top of a loud bar. I am writing this at 11 PM trying to get to sleep and listening to bumping music and people yelling. When I asked about the noise at the front desk, they were not at all surprised and suggested I either turn the TV on or use earplugs. Cannot believe I am paying money to stay here. With so many other reasonable options in the area you would be foolish to make the same mistake. A real stain on the entire ramada chain.

Nothing works in the Suite: TV, Wall Plugs, Washroom Fan, and Tea Pot has Holes. During check-in I was charged $150 damage deposit for a very old not maintained room. I was notified that management has changed since my last visit. Worst Experience Ever! I am not coming back again.

Terrible! They ran out of soap. Soap. That's like running out of towels. We had to use shampoo to wash up with. You know those tiny little hotel shampoos? That was fun. How do you even do that? If you are a hotel, and your shipment of tiny little hotel soaps is held up at the border or something, and you notice you are running low, do you not think to GO TO A STORE (you know, a building where they sell stuff) and buy a bunch of cheap brand soaps to give to your guests? Also, front desk staff were rude (one lady hung up on us) and there was a weird brown stain on the chair in our room. It's also not that close to downtown, and the rates aren't that great, so why would you stay here. AVOID this one.

Will not recommend this hotel to anyone. Unfriendly staff, tiny and poorly maintained rooms and rooms not cleaned to minimum standards!

Unfortunately we had very bad luck with our room, no. 150 (I would not recommend anyone! ) It is right next to/under this room is a Bar. The very loud music makes it impossible to Sleep before 2 o'clock in the morning! Demand at the Reception has brought nothing. We would for this reason not more for this Hotel decide. The Hotel is clean, the staff is friendly and the rooms are spacious. The Hotel is only recommendable, if one has a car, since the center 10 min. By car away.

Front desk clerk. Not people friendly. Manager isnt much better. My Family and I visited Victoria on Mothers Day weekend an to be yelled at from the FRONT DESK CLERK, pertaining to 150.00 DEPOISIT and PAYMENT for the ROOM in which we had already PAID and the FRONT DESK CLERK using STATEMENT OH MY GOD, toward US after showing receipt of already paying everything. CALLING US A LIER in front of our 14 year old child. We requested a phone call from the Manager today is the 18th of May still NO PHONE CALL FROM the MANAGER. We do not recommend this ramada to anyone.

Impressed with this hotel. The effort to make us comfortable and to feel well was very high. We had a great stay and will come back.

I just wanted to take a moment to acknowledge one of your employees at The Ramada Victoria. I was working with a colleague in Victoria on Thursday August 14th. Although you did not have a room at your hotel she did manage to find one for us. She was quick and pleasant and empathetic. Next time we are in Victoria we will definitely consider staying at your hotel.

Absolutely awesome motel, great location, great pool and also very quiet, staff was very friendly as well.

We stayed at this hotel between July 23rd and 27th. On our arrival, we found out our reservation was confused and were forced to take a room with 2 double beds. We were asked to pay a security deposit of $150 up front which was not explained when we first booked a couple of days before our arrival. House keeping never supplied shampoo, soap, tea, coffee etc. Never vacuumed the room. Except making the beds during our stay for four days.

My husband and I, together with our daughters arrived to settle in Victoria from Ontario. We stayed in the Ramada Hotel for 16 nights which was affordable. I must mention that we stayed in the past, in hotels that were ranked as 4 and 5 star hotels and we got in Ramada hotel, Victoria, a customer service that was beyond what we expected. The girls at the front desk, Stephanie and Patty were very pleasant, helpful at any time and welcoming. The rooms were always well cleaned. The hotel provides 24 hours free internet room access that was extremely helpful for us. The food at the hotel restaurant was excellent and the staff was always pleasant. I would definitely recommend this hotel to everyone that want to feel like home away from home and would like to save his/her money.
