Great stay at the Rialto. The bus from the ferry drops you off at the corner and you can walk from there to anywhere downtown! Super comfy bed, clean room and great coffee to start you right in the morning. Thanks for the extra cookies, they were delicious!

Amazing service and food.

My little dogs and I had a terrible experience at Victoria City Center Hotel and found ourselves looking for a hotel in the middle of the night during the pandemic. Robin at Hotel Rialto, was exceptionally warm, welcoming and professional! Our room was immaculate, well-decorated, and quite spacious. I slept very well in a very comfortable queen size bed. Although we didn't take advantage of the restaurant, we'd eaten there before and the food is spectacular. All-in, I can't say enough about this hotel. I would recommend staying here to anyone and everyone! Thanks so much to all who helped us!

A lovely boutique hotel with an elegant Italian style bar and pleasant restaurant. Our room started out clean and comfortable, but during our three night stay it was never cleaned or serviced once! We saw housekeeping working down the hall, we brought the issue to the attention of the front desk on two consecutive mornings, but somehow our room remained exactly as we left it every day. Short of bringing us a couple of fresh towels, the front desk staff was mildly apologetic but didn’t do anything else.

I loved this charming hotel with great staff who were friendly and accommodating. The room was spacious and comfortable. The complimentary breakfast was great as was the lunch we ate there. And the cocktail I had, named for the hotel was the best I had in Victoria (better than Q at the Empress and Little Jumbo). I highly recommend.

I would recommend but with a caveat. Rooms are clean and spacious but with little to no views and the beds are quite hard. Staff is excellent and helpful. However the breakfast they list on their website is only a continental one and when we arrived at 10:30 (closes at 11) it was well picked over, some burnt muffins and some croissants and a bowl of yogurt. No juice, only water, tea or coffee. Area hotel is in is getting worse for number of homeless people and vacant stores. If you can get a great deal on the price, it’s worth it.

Great food excellent atmosphere and friendly staff.

This hotel is a complete disappointed. I booked this hotel for a trip to Victoria as a treat for myself and was a splurge for what was advertised as a queen sized bed. When I got into the room it was a double bed. There was only three pillows on the bed, only one being full sized. Upon inspecting the room, I found dust and stains all over the walls and side tables. The bathroom had smudges and grime around the door handle, some of which looked like smeared blood. The window sill and blinds near the toilet were dusty and grimy and had yellow splashes dried on them. The toilet seat was yellowed and damaged. The lights in the bathroom were covered in yellow grime and dust.
I attempted to make a coffee in the in room machine only to find a used puck in the machine itself, which means it was not cleaned or even checked between guests. The carpet was not clean and left my socks dirty. I am completely and utterly disappointed in this hotel.

Very friendly staff, Make you feel like a local lots of advice super good cocktails and food highly recommend. Rooms are spacious very modern and very clean.

Hotel lobby and exterior were lovely. Staff at the hotel and bar were extremely nice and elevated the experience a tenfold. Bar food was above average but the drinks were unique and satisfying. Room was spacious and the bed was large and firm. Unfortunately the blackout curtains didn't close the entire way and we were right next to a lamp post. I woke up twice in the middle of the night disoriented to the time of day because of this. Aside from that the experience was very nice. Definitely above average and the attention to detail was evident. It was a pleasant time.

This hotel was perfect. Perfectly located, awesome attentive staff, yummy breakfast, specialty cocktails… The room was clean, quiet, and perfectly set for all our needs. What a great stay! I can't wait to go back. Thank you Hotel Rialto!

The bedding… especially the pillows… were AMAZING. We slept like babies. The service was great, especially in the restaurant downstairs. We loved our friendly hipster bartenders. Our drinks were truly works of art. And the pork chop was to die for.

A wonderful boutique hotel on Pandora in Victoria's downtown. Within walking distance of everywhere including the Phillip's brewery and Fisherman's Wharf, longer walks but great walks. Our room was a comfy, clean and quiet king room. Great for our one night stay in Victoria. We would definitely return.

It's one of the more reasonably priced hotels in Victoria during busy season, so I've stayed here a few times for work. They have nice little extra perks that make your stay more comfortable. The staff are great as well. There are a few things people should be aware of. The non-valet parking is across a plaza a short walk away. That plaza can be a bit sketchy at times. Also the rooms are quite small and the views are not great (at least in the rooms I've stayed in). I've also stayed in at least one room where the couch was not very comfortable and felt quite old. The one big positive I've shared with friends is their free breakfast. It's not extravagant, but the food tastes absolutely delicious. Very well done.

This is a beautiful boutique hotel with tasteful decor and friendly staff that provide great service. We have stayed here a number of times and the quality is consistent. The new breakfast room is great, and don’t miss the complimentary “welcome” cheese plate!

Rooms are good. They provided a cheese plate and had free breakfast. Parking was $22 a night. Location is pretty convenient.

This is a fabulous place to stay if you are going to a show at Alix goolden Hall, Metro Theater, or the McPherson Playhouse. The rooms are always clean. The staff is always friendly. And breakfast is great.

We stayed at the hotel March 20, 2018. We needed our room early and the hotel staff did everything to help us, storing our bags and texting to let us know when it was available. The hotel was super clean and comfortable. We brought our bikes, had a flat on a tire, the hotel staff went out of their way to help us get it fixed and stored our vehicle longer than check out to let us have our bike ride. Good service is hard to find these days! Thank you to Hotel Rialto for great customer service!

Can't find fault at all, friendly staff and nice clean room. The free breakfast was great, love the omelettes being cooked right there while you watch, lots of yummy choices. I'd stay there again if I was in the area.

Love it when I pick up cold beer here. Is it the coldest? Not sure but it must be very close. The staff are always helpful and super friendly. Great place.

Fine hotel, decent price. Nothing special for a boutique hotel — rooms are small, which is fine, but details and amenities are lacking. Breakfast is included and is good, but the breakfast area is very rough and needs some life. Some renovations under way which could result in some great upgrades, but there are construction staff everywhere and they are constantly under foot. 10 min drop off area out front is used by permanent parkers as it is always full.

Arriving Victoria at about 11am Mabel greeted me warmly and professionally and took me under her wing to organize my stay. She offered me one of the nicest rooms in the lovely, well appointed hotel and texted me when I was out to let me know my bags were waiting for me in my clean room. The bed was very comfortable, room was clean and the long drapery provides excellent light block for a good sleep. The morning continental breakfast was varied and held healthy options; again, I was well taken care of by staff. I would not hesitate to recommend both the lovely hotel and excellent staff. My new favourite Victoria hotel!

They don't have parking and I had slept in the morning I left and was rudely harass repeatedly from the front desk. I happily paid the late check-out fee. Beside the location I would not recommend this hotel to a friend based on the customer service.

Super friendly staff. Bed was comfortable and room was clean. Fixtures were all new. The location is pretty good. I personally like this location better than on the harbor but it is a bit more noisy at night if that is a concern. We will definitely have this at the top of our list for future trips to Victoria.

Very quaint boutique style hotel. Clean, modern room. My single queen room was small, but big enough for an overnight stay. Good food at the Tapa restaurant.

The restaurant and room were nice enough though the carpets were a little dirty when we arrived. The concierge was very helpful.

Wonderful, helpful, friendly staff. Our room was spotless and well-stocked with all amenities. The beds were comfortable, the location was superb, the in-house restaurant was quite good.

The staff was friendly and helpful The bed was very comfortable The breakfast in the cafe was excellent and it was so nice receiving the free morning beverage and discount on each entree. Continental breakfast was free (1 item and drink) They have a GO GREEN program and for each day that you do not have room service, you earn $10.00 that can be used as a discount on your food in the hotel. We would stay there again.

A great weekend in Victoria at Hotel Rialto. Gave the car to the Valet on Saturday and we haven't needed it since. The room wasn't ready when we arrived early but all our luggage was in the room when we came back. Forgot something in the car? Not a problem — it was at the desk waiting for us 5 min later. Free coffee and pastry at Cafe Veneto each morning. Free cheese plate from Veneto Tapa Lounge — oh, you are having company so let us add a bit to that for a modest extra fee. Comfy room and a lovely bed. One block from MacPherson Theatre, easy walk to China Town, Government Street shops and more. Staff is friendly and efficient. I will be back.

Clean, comfortable, and the best part was the friendly staff, everyone was exceptional. Will hold your bags in case you are early or waiting for later travel arrangements than your room stay allows. Location is perfect and Main attractions and buses are very close, all walking distance.

An attractive and stylish downtown location with an in-house bar, Cafe and liquor store. Staff are efficient and helpful. No parking on site, and no laundry.

Very good and friendly staff, clean rooms and great location! Can be a little loud outside on weekends but what else should you expect when the building is right downtown? Still no issues getting to sleep.

I didn't mind the location. Customer service was fine. The decor was great. Beautiful hotel. My only complaint is how paper thin the walls were. You could hear a neighbor sneeze like they were in your room. I would start hear again and run a nose machine for white noise.

Excellent stay so far at Hotel Rialto. Large room with plenty of space for the family. Nice central location within walking distance of all the attractions.

I go to the hotel Rialto all the time to pick up beer. The staff are super friendly and knowledgeable. I might be wrong but I think they probably have the coldest beer in town; which is a definite plus. Great place!

Good downtown location, very nice rooms with full size beds, spacious bathroom, some with tubs. Great breakfast restaurant. They will store bicycles in the basement for you overnight. There's also a bar and second dinning area on the first floor.

Hotel was awesome! Very convenient location. Friendly helpful staff. Would recommend the lounge and cafe downstairs as well. Would definitely come back here.

Excellent (and themed) cocktails and great tapas make this one of my favorite places to go for a drink. It's got a nice, higher class feel while still being relaxed and fun. Highly recommended.

Great price, great location. The rooms are nice and clean, the staff are very pleasant. With construction next door and traffic you have some noise but the complimentary ear plugs came in handy, mind you I slept well the first night without them. Second time here and I will be back!

The staff were super friendly, we had a good laugh with them when checking out. They circled a cuople places on the map for us for Vegan / Vegetarian restros, they offered us a complimentary cheese plate and we got %10 off a bottle of wine that we got to enjoy with said cheese plate. The next day when we were checking out they offered to keep our bags behind the counter so we could go explore a bit, for no charge. I highly reccommend this place. Rooms are clean, heated bathroom floors, robes are nice and comfy. We will definitely return on our next visit to Victoria.

Stayed here a couple times. Very happy with the service and accommodations. The hotel does have an unfortunate parking situation, but a large secure parking garage is not far, and they have road side stopping zones for drop off. Will visit again.

My family of four stayed here a couple of nights on our way through Victoria: comfortable and clean beds, cozy, practical room in a convenient (downtown) neighborhood. The staff were solicitous and courteous and the on-site dining options (cafe, restaurant) were exceptional.

Having stayed here 35 nights over the past 3 years for work, I can attest that this is the best value in the city and recommend it highly. Freshly and tastefully updated character hotel, with great rooms, very nice service, an incredible location, and low prices. Make sure to ask for a "quiet inside room" or be prepared for some street noise. Love the cocktail bar as well.

We stayed at this establishment for my 24th birthday and were severely disappointed. The rooms were clean and spacious, and the location is wonderful. However, the manager that we dealt with was rude to say the least. I travel lot's with work and for events, and I've never been disrespected like I was by her. From the first point of contact, she was rude to me and my guests. We went out for dinner at 6pm, and came back to our room at 8:30pm for a quick drink before we left for the evening to go out dancing. The manager would not allow two of our friends who were staying at a nearby hotel to visit our room. I will mention, at this point we only had 3 people in our room for our quick drink. As it happened, when our additional two friends had arrived, we were planning on leaving anyways, so we weren't to upset that she wouldn't let them up. However, when we came down to the lobby, I asked why she had not allowed them to visit our room. She stated that our friends were "underage", and that we had received numerous noise complaints. Now, it was 9pm at this point, and we were only in the room for 30 minutes for a quick drink. I find it hard to believe that the three of us in the room received "numerous noise complaints", and if we had, a simple phone call to ask for us to quiet down would have sufficed. Secondly, NONE of our group was underage, we were all mid 20's to mid 30's. The way she spoke to my friends, and to me was with utmost disrespect.

We stayed 3 nights at the Rialto while biking around Victoria. They upgraded our room without being asked, provided a locked room to store our bikes and even helped moving them up and down the stairs or elevator. All personel were wonderfull and the hotel is located right in the heart of downtown. Clean, Quiet, Comfortable.

Amazing value. Very nice, upscale, modern hotel in downtown Victoria. Front desk people were very nice. An added perk despite booking on Kayak — they gave us vouchers for a free cheese plate in their restaurant and a free coffee/tea and pastry in the morning for breakfast. I wasn't expecting that — what a nice surprise! I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the area, and I would absolutely stay here again. Hands down the nicest hotel I've stayed in for the price.

We really enjoyed our two night stay in Victoria at Hotel Rialto. Very comfortable beds, friendly staff and we especially like the heated floor in the bathroom.

Loved it. Would go again!
