My family and I stayed at Days Inn which was extremely convenient to our time in Victoria. We came across from Washington on the Black Ball Ferry and the Days Inn was just across the street. Excellent! We were greeted by Mrs. Lynn at the front desk, who was a delight to handle our stay. She not only help accommodate us just a bit early, she was extremely helpful in surrounding attractions as well. This was our first time to come to Canada and we were excited about all the wonderful surroundings of Victoria. Rooms may not be exorbitant and spacious (coming from someone who lives in Texas), but our view of the harbor and stay were worth every moment. If you go to Victoria and stay at the Days Inn, you definitely need to visit with Mrs. Lynn … she is a wonderful asset to their tourism.

A nice little Inn next to the Government buildings in downtown Victoria. Has all the basics down pat, as well as a pool and a nice restaurant with outdoor seating. Elevator is also quite tiiny, but it's not all that busy. One caveat, though. No A/C, so you will need to sleep with the windows open in the summertime. Ask for the 'cool' side, and you'll be fine.

Great location with parking included. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Was convenient to have restaurant and bar with a view of the harbour as part of the hotel. If you're a light sleeper I'd recommend earplugs to cut out noise of bar if you're on the lower floors. Would stay here again!

The old adage of you get what you pay for definitely applies here! Found a deal for this hotel via Expedia, very very well priced compared to the other options near Victoria Harbour. The room we had was pretty decently appointed (except the dated bathroom) and definitely clean, but that's were most of the positives end. TV didn't work without a hard reset via the wall plug. The walls are pretty thin, we heard a deep voiced neighbour well into the night. If anyone used water in a neighbouring room, you knew about it. The blinking router on the wall above the window was an odd distraction. Housekeeping staff started cleaning our floor at 9am, which in itself would have been fine if they weren't practically yelling at each other down the hallway, which woke me up through the aforementioned thin walls. Taking a shower might have been the worst part, as the water temperature was subject to wild, and I be wild temperature swings. A hot steamy shower quickly turned ice cold of its old accord, frequently. Combined with a loudly buzzing florescent light straight out of the 80s, it made this hotel an experience to forget. Spend an extra bit of change and check out a different place for your stay.

The bed was comfy for sure. The staff were super friendly and very helpful. No AC so it was pretty hot in the room. We enjoyed our stay though.

When we arrived check in was simple and the employees where very nice. Thats where the good of this place ended. First tiny parking lot with 0 parking available, you are competing with a alcohol pickup store and a restaurant. We went up to the room. The elevator is the size of a postage stamp and very old. The room we got was close to the elevator when we got to the room I had to insert the key card 7 or 8 times for it to work, I tried both keys with about the same success. We went into the room and it was the smallest hotel room I have ever seen. It was a queen bed because a king would not have fit in the room. The door to the bathroom hit the toilet when you opened the door and you had to sidle in then close the door to sit on the toilet. The floor in the bathroom was dirty, obviously not having been swept. There was no AC and the temp in the room was hitting 77 F opening the window did no good at all but it did give us the beautiful sounds and smells of car exhaust from the parking lot and people going in to buy booze. The bed reminded me of a kids hospital bed. You sat on it and it crinkled like it was plastic it was SO uncomfortable. An old dingy house coat hung on a coat rack. Not sure if it was yelled from age or if that was its color.

Great location if you take a ferry to the island. Room is perfect but have to pay extra for refrigerators. No A/C though.

Rooms are outdated. The worst problem with this place is NO AIR-CONDITIONER. Our room was about 25+ degrees even with the windows open and all the fans going, does not make for a comfortable sleep. The restaurant downstairs is terrific and the breakfast deal is very very good.

Great place. We have been staying at Days on the Harbour for over 20 years. Amenities are second to none. Staff are always friendly.

A little loud. Thanks our room was right under the pub and you could hear singing untill 11pm or so. Also could hear people outside. But overall it was a lovely stay.

The location is excellent and the rate we got for a weekend durin easter was as well. However, I did not like their brealfast at all and the rooms are a bit small. The room amenities are very good with a decent hairdryer which was very important for me.

Like someone else posted — the key is your expectation. They price the place according to the condition. It was clean and everyone was friendly. The location was perfect! The bed was comfortable enough. Breakfast was included and in the restaurant inside. Very good too. However the rooms are very dated and we were disappointed that even though we had a kitchenette, there weren't any dishes and all the cupboards were locked. And the heater wasn't the best — we had to use the oven (which looked like it was from the 30's) to heat the room. We managed to get it to 18 which we could live with. Overall a good stay and reasonably priced considering the location. Check out Darcy's if you get the chance! Great food, service and atmosphere. $4 happy hour and a great view!

I am only giving this a rating of 3 stars just because of Ashley the girl working at the front desk when really should give it a 1 star. I checked in on Monday night February 19th. My room was very cold heaters were not working so I called front desk and at the time a guy was working. He told me he would help me by giving me a small portable heater which did nothing the entire night. I woke up in the morning feeling sick. Second night there was even worst it was very cold the small heater was not helping at all so I called front desk and spoke to Ashley. Ashley came up and checked my room and even she said the room was very cold and that she will move me. Thanks to Ashley for taking care of me and understanding what needed to be done. The guy working at the front desk was useless. Ashley thank you very much!

I feel this place is underrated. It may not be fancy, but it's clean and the staff treat you very well. Give them a try.

Good for a quick overnight trip on a budget. The key to staying here is managing one's expectations. The staff were always pleasant and helpful. The bar and restaurant were alright, and the portions at breakfast — enormous. The room itself was clean and well appointed, for the price. The mattress was on the firm side so my back was a bit sore by the morning, but this is largely a matter of personal preference. At the end of the day, it's a Days Inn, and I feel like I got what I'd paid for, and more.

Went to Victoria for a Christmas party at a nearby hotel, but stayed at Days Inn instead because their pet policy accommodated our two dogs — both big fellas. Staff was great! Room was big, warm, clean. Restaurant downstairs serves a tasty bowl of seafood chowder. Will definitely be back!

I am a 26 year old female who came to visit a close friend not from Victoria who was staying at Days Inn. I myself am new to Victoria, and don't know my way around the downtown core. Last night, we returned late to the hotel. I have a disability of Crohn's disease, which at times means close proximity to a washroom is vital. I asked the front desk staff for the access code to use the lobby washroom as it was urgent and was immediately asked my room number and last name. As a friend of the guest, my name was not the same as what the room was booked under… The male employee told me my friend's room number didn't exist at the hotel, denied me access to the washroom, and then promptly walked away from the front desk back into the staff only area and shut the door. I spent the next 45 minutes walking around downtown at 2am looking for a washroom and got so lost I ended up giving up and catching a cab back to my home address. Very rude to treat friend's of paying guests in your hotel with such disrespect, especially when it's something as simple as access to the lobby restrooms. Even if it was against hotel policy to allow me to use the washrooms in the lobby — the rude and dismissive attitude of your front desk staff is not who I would want representing the face of your hotel. My friend was appalled when she heard about this, especially when I have a disability and then got so lost trying to locate another washroom I couldn't find my way back. Not impressed.

Service was amazing, especially with pets. The staff bent over backwards to help me get a litter box together and adjust the cleaning schedule for my pets during a last minute move. The location is also amazing. Strongly recommend for those who want the best deal for their budget.

As a pet-friendly hotel, this place is a gem for those needing to travel with animals. I stayed for over a week with my two cats and was pleasantly surprised by the great rates (especially considering the hotel's prime location near down town Victoria! ) and accommodating staff. There is an attached restaurant (the Belleville Watering Hole) with a variety of moderately priced meal options and a few fun cocktails as well, making it appropriate for family dinner or a date-night meal. The hotel is within sight of the British Columbia Parliment Buildings and within walking distance of the Royal BC Museum and the Empress Hotel. By talking with the staff, we were able to arrange room cleaning to minimise the impact on our pets. I recommend bringing any concerns or considerations to the front desk immediately… they will sort the issue out before it becomes a problem and ensure that your visit is as carefree as possible.

The room we got was cramped and dated. For the same price are traveling companions got an excellent room. It had a kitchen area and a couch. Our room you could barely walk around the king bed. We felt jipped.

The staff was very good. The room eas clean. The bathroom was very small. It is a older hotel with thin walls no air-condition. Great location.

No air conditioning and open windows and fans didn't help much. Mice running around on the patio while trying to enjoy breakfast. However, bed was comfortable and room clean and maintained. Just far too hot to sleep well so would not stay again.

Nice view, great location, but no air conditioning at all! There are fans in the rooms, and opening windows. Fridge, but no microwave. Restaurant on site. No free breakfast. Hotel is a bit older, but the rooms are clean and well kept.

I honestly thought a fridge and a microwave are default items that are included if you book a room. They only had a fridge for our room. Their parking space are not enough for all their guests and you will sometimes need to park along the road. No air conditioning. Only good thing is it's along the harbor and the parliament to take pictures.

This was a good place to stay with a family. The room we stayed in had 2 double beds and a small kitchenette. Breakfast was included. The breakfast included scrambled eggs, hash browns, toast, and coffee or tea. The restaurant was cheerful and the staff attentive. Unfortunately one of the rooms we rented was near the elevator and was quite noisy. When this was mentioned to the front desk at check out, they were very sympathetic and gave a discount. The hotel location was great and within walking distance of many attractions. We will definitely stay here again.

It's a great hotel, has a restaurant on the bottom floor and provides a great breakfast in the morning. The rooms are great, and visually appealing. I love it and if I come back to Victoria I'd go here for sure!

Ate at the Belleville restaurant. Was pleasantly surprised. Most hotel restaurants are mediocre at best but the food here was quite good, service was quick and friendly.

Located on the inner harbor, walking distance to lots of attractions, shopping and restaurants. The rooms are clean and the beds are comfortable. The carpeting has been replaced with laminate in the rooms. Nice restaurant and bar in the hotel. Great value for the location.

Beautiful location near the legislature and inner harbour, clean rooms and friendly staff. Can't ask for much more!

Great harbour view from room, great staff and affordable price.

Affordable. Central. Basic hotel. Everything you need. We had a family health emergency and they (Michelle), were a huge help.

Horrible, will never stay at a days inn again. Let alone the $175 price tag for a queen bed, they gave away our reservation.
