Super 8 by Wyndham Swift Current

The accommodation was very comfortable; it’s not new or fancy but was very well taken care. All the staff that we met were so friendly; made you feel like you lived in this town. Basically everything you need is provided (fridge, microwave, coffee, tea, hair dryer, bathroom lotion and soaps). There’s even a self-serve laundromat on the first floor. Nearby are many restaurants and small and big box stores. Staff were extremely helpful and kind; we stayed 4 nights and on the day we were leaving, we had a medical issue and needed to go to Emergency. The wonderful lady at the front desk was so accommodating, offering to hold our room until we were cleared at the hospital to return home and telling us to not worry about letting them know until we were sure of our plans, should they change. That is going above and beyond … I hope their manager realizes the impact of this this level of kindness. We can’t thank them enough. I would definitely stay here again.

Check in was fast and easy with front desk staff being very friendly and helpful. Beds were great, very comfortable and well stocked.
Breakfast was great with lots to eat if you aren’t fussy! breakfast room was clean and a staff member in attendance most of the time to keep tables cleared and cleaned.
We only had a couple of problems, room was very small for 3 adult guests and we were out in a pet friendly room that did not smell great, nor did the whole first floor. My advice, don’t put guests without pets into pet friendly rooms please!

Room 107 is big enough for 2 people and 1 child. Me, my wife, my child and my small dog fit in this gigantic king size bed. Sleep was great bc we could adjust temperature to our liking. People working there were nice, but I'm concerned no one came in to change our sheets and towels. It might be because it was a weekend, but I'm not sure. Otherwise a great location (it's literally beside 2 gas stations, and Tim's! )

The hotel rooms do need some attention. Such as the toilet seat in the bathroom being very loose to sit on and the air conditioning smelt very musty when on so we couldn’t use it so turned it off, dirty windows on inside are quite gross. They need cleaning as well as the tracks and frames and a paint job perhaps. Things like that that should be addressed to be cared for and checked for room for customer use.
Also I was not able to check in or check out with the online service. It would not work. I had to wait to use desk at hotel. The people at the front desk said that happens to a lot of people.

Positive: Convenient location Negative: The fitness area is very small. It was a One person area.

Pet friendly rooms with outside access. Awesome. Management & staff go out of their way to make your stay better.

Yo, time to update room 215 has the blackest rugs I’ve ever seen. Time to change the carpet. Over I’ll I was ok and content but man that carpet was gross. Almost slept with my shoes on.

This hotel is an excellent value. The room was clean and well maintained, the bed was comfortable, the bathroom was clean and the shower was hot and had good water pressure. The breakfast was good with ample food selection and very well organized. Realizing that this is a budget hotel, the public areas are nice but not impressive, the room make up forte and make this a very good value.

There pool is empty with a dated lining kinda on no hot tub. The breakfast is cheap and cold. They yelled at us and treated us so poorly after a day staying there. We had to leave. I couldn't stay after being treated so poorly by staff. Kncking on the door. Saying there was complaints but no one eles was on the floor since the AM. Complained of weed being in a bag. I Saif I didn't smoke any she Saud you don't have to and now I have to deep clean the room dye to having it the room and it's against there building policies. When I asked to see them they showed me 100 percent smoke free. I replied I'm not smoking it. She said that's the policy it's clearly not aloud. So I said cigarettes are not aloud and the building or alcohol they said they are. So you can bring a pack of cigarettes but not a bag of sealed weed. I started rec them they declined. I showed her the weed bag she put her arms up saying no no get it away like it was going to harm her. Very uneducated people. They don't even understand there own policies and what they mean but won't explain them being rec. Weird. It's like they do what ever and treat people horribly.

Room was nice staff was friendly breakfast was very dissapointing and hot tub and pool could deffinly use some new caulking and love.
Not bad for the price but expect a gas station muffin and banna for breakfast.

Old and dirty and first room offered smelled strongly of wet dog. The included breakfast is a joke. House keeping cart and vacuum both left in the hallway overnight, staff couldn't be bothered to put it away so it would have been a hazard should there have been a fire or some other emergency requiring evacuation. This hotel should be renovated or closed.

Unless you are a CP worker, you don't count.
Rooms are what you would expect from a hotel that caters to workers, run down and dirty.
Just don't count on any breakfast.
There are better options if you are looking for a budget hotel for a one night passing through stay.

Always the best value. Rooms are clean and comfortable and quiet. The complimentary brekkie is always appreciated.

Service when we first arrived was rude. Pool was gross. Biggest thing though, found a crack spoon under the sink in our bathroom. Trashy.

Disappointed.
I have stayed at Super 8s before and was always pleased. This one, however, is a different story.
The room smelled musty. There were hairs on our pillow, stains on the carpets, dirt in the bedspread, etc. 1/2 the electrical outlets didn't work. The dining room for breakfast was closed. — Apparently for Covid we were informed. (It is now June, 2024. ) So we had to put our meager breakfasts on trays to bring back to our room under the watchful eyes of two matrons.

It's a older well used up motel. Convient to Swift Current downtown. Lots of parking, nicely cleaned. Nice staff. Close to the Highway easy to get to. Snowy day and very windy in March. The room was warm.

My mother in law booked this hotel for us. I was not so excited when I heard the name.
Check in — the sweet girl that checked us in was amazing. Super informative, you can tell she likes her job.
Room — I struggled to find something to not like! It's small, carpets are a bit dated. But bathroom was incredibly clean and updated. Beds are comfy. AC is cold.
Pool area is 24 hours, the kids were convinced they were gonna go swimming at 3am.
Breakfast was good enough, for the price of the room I was impressed by it. The rooms have tables and chairs to eat in your room, as they are using the breakfast room for CP employees (after to your biggest and longest customer, makes absolute sense)
I'm pretty fussy about hotels, and their service. And I'd stay here again. We had three rooms booked last minute and they still got us side by side.
To the review that says there's nothing to eat nearby, I can literally walk to 5 different places.
