Awesome hotel downtown Quebec City — nicely renovated but keeping the original building charm — which was built before Frontenac — and proudly displayed on a picture placed above the bed in the room. Rooms facing St. Louis street have a nice view of Frontenac. Food at the restaurant downstairs is excellent and recommendations from the Stephane the receptionist we had at check-in were nothing short of amazing, including the Cigar & Cadillac rye whisky for the creme brûlée If visiting Québec you can't go wrong with this hotel, highly recommended.

Great place. At the heart of old Quebec.

Perfect location. Amazing view of the castle. Fairly big suites and rooms. Not quite. Live music in the street until late at night.

Stayed in the hotel… location… perfect, room… perfect combination of old and new, sheets and bedding… super soft… front desk… awesome service. Highly recommend. And a third of the cost of the hotel across the road… nothing lacking at Auberge du Tresor.

We loved our weekend in love! We went last December just before Christmas, a magical time for old Quebec! The hostel is very well located, directly next to the Chateau Frontenac! In the heart of the old and close to all services. The staff at the hostel was amazing, caring for us and we will definitely return to next winter!

What a perfectly located, charming auberge in Old Quebec City. And the service was top-drawer; they let us check in early but only after making sure the room was spotless (it was). A very special thank you to Raphael who went above and beyond in returning, via express post, my KOBO which I had mistakenly left behind. I hadn't even realized that I had left it in my room until he called to advise me. It was sitting on my desk when I returned to work on Monday. Fantastic customer service. On top of that, the attached restaurant "1640 Bistro" was amazing for all meals — again, excellent, polite, professional service.

We leave at the moment this nice little hostel or the staff is really great, especially Annie who offered us a great time for our 40 years of acquaintance to me and my husband, thank you sincerely Annie. The rooms are very nice and clean and the design is successful. The food is delicious as much for dinner as for lunch. An experience to relive over and over again. I suggest to all this hostel, personally I will return with great pleasure.

This hotel is the best location to look around Quebec city, you can just park in the city hall parking place (underground, and hotel staff will let you know about the location and it was under 17cad per day) and room condition was good. Our room was renovatied one! It was cozy and clean. Staffs were super kind.

There was a very discriminate waiter who ask us to put stroller outside, with our baby in it, because it may blocking the asile. So we changed table so no one will be bothered. And by the way, he chose his own tip percentage, he took my credit card, punched the machine, when he passed back, I got the pin input screen. Very nice location though, I believe you will be fine if you are not with an asian face, otherwise I will say try not put yourself into a place where you cannot enjoy buy still pay high percentage tip. 亚洲人就不要去了，服务员非常没有礼貌，私自选择小费比例，所以如果非要去，请用现金。隔壁餐馆便宜而且热情，这家店生意好所以并无所谓。

Rooms are a but smaller than average, however you have a great view of the Chateau out front. Rooms have / are recently being renovated. Missing a few amenities such as microwave, fridge, no clothes iron. Staff were great and extra helpful. Clean rooms and comfortable beds.

This hotel was in an amazing location and had beautiful, comfortable, and recently updated rooms. The staff were friendly and helpful, and went above and beyond to make sure we had a great stay. There are two public parking garages very close by (easy 2 minute walk back to the hotel). Having the 1640 restaurant and bar downstairs was a big plus (great food and drinks! ) and added to the charm of the hotel. I would definitely stay here again!

Very pretty and very clean place, I was there to film the preparation of the bride. The look was great!

Beautifull chambers and ambiance, hard to find parking.

Perfect place to start your day for breakfast. Centrally located, indoor/outdoor seating, friendly staff, great menu. Recommend the maple crepes.

Handled a large group seamlessly.

Location and room has nine. Even if we were expecting bigger (through photos).

For lunch it was very much appreciated the excellent service the quiche and well dressed salad menu for child gigantic asser hot and good.

One Sunday morning, with my parents we arrived the Malbaie Montreal branch, and we decided to take a snack break in Quebec City. It was 2 pm and only breakfast was available. Courteous hospitality, the order taken (4 salmon bagels), we were attracted until the arrival of our plates. Bread bagel stale, tired, fat and fluorescent salmon, fruit on the side who felt the old rag. In short we called the server him to mention our disappointment, he was surprised to our remarks. But that's all. Short serve crap because you're is 2 minutes from Frontenac. That's still a trade that has nothing understood.
VERY very very disappointed, we will never go to this place and especially we recommend anyone to go small lunch at the hostel of the treasure of Quebec.

Stopped in for a late lunch. A very busy patio on a nice day, but with very accommodating staff. We were sided up with another couple. Excellent atmosphere and good food. We each had the quiche lorraine, w/ceasar salad, and a half litre of house white. Excellent place on a sunny afternoon. Price as expected in such a busy location ($48 taxes incl. ).
