The beauty of the room, two very large beds. Rare or non-existent in other hotels… superb… breakfast in the offer and an outstanding restaurant at the entrance of the hostel… impeccable service and personal caring.

This place was amazing! We wanted to stay forever! It was so clean and right in the middle of town. We didn’t need to rent a car because it was walkable to everything you needed to see. I wouldn’t stay anywhere else!

We absolutely loved staying at Auberge Place d'Armes. Our room was amazing and we enjoyed having so many options for breakfast. The location was convenient and we hope to stay again in the future.

Hotel well located. Room correct and clean although small. Valet. Warm welcome. On the ecological level it is very mediocre: towels systematically changed every day, light voluntarily lit in the bathroom by the cleaning team until we return to the room. Also worth noting: No water bottles available in the room. No lobby, bar, laundry. A little disappointing for a four-star.

Wow! You can't get more in the middle of things than this place. Also, setting masculinity aside just long enough to exclaim how adorable this place is. It is amazing and charming, easily creating the feeling you came here for. The staff is incredibly helpful on all accounts. A brief disclaimer, I believe I read someone write about the noise. You can indeed hear the outside due to the extremely prime location and busy street directly outside the window. However, that all dies down at around 10:30-11 at the latest and the location easily makes up for any inconvience.

Great front desk staff helpful with directions and restaurant recommendations. Also valet parking was much appreciated. Rooms were nice and very quiet even on the busy street. Would definitely stay there again and will recommend to others.

Excellent location if you want to be right in the middle of everything in Old Quebec. The rooms are all unique and decorated with a fusion of contemporary and rustic. The first room we checked-in to had a problem with the AC but the hotel staff was quick to remedy the situation by moving us to an upgraded room. They accepted our 2 dogs without a problem (another pet friendly hotel would only allow 1 dog per room). Would definitely stay again!

We absolutely LOVED our stay here. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming. Our room, Number 7, was delightful — so comfortable and so quiet and we loved the pops of colour placed all around. We had lunch at the restaurant three times as well as breakfast and really enjoyed it. Our stay was perfect and we will be recommending your hotel to everyone we know. Thank you so much, Orlaith.

Our room was at the top of 4 flights of stairs, which was inconvenient, but after getting to it it was well worth it. Beautiful room, great bathroom for the price. The next morning the warm water didn't work, they made sure we knew when they had fixed it and gave us longer in the room.

Very satisfied with your service. The room was very clean. Good service and excellent restaurant package. We will return it for sure. We loved it and we shared it on our Facebook.

We had a very enjoyable stay. Our last breakfast was not the same as the previous two. It seemed to us that there was only one waiter working and that perhaps it was his first day. We did not get the coffees that we asked for. Service was very slow and not very efficient. Other guests were clearing their own tables. We asked for certain food items and never received them. Again, we assumed that it was the waiter's first day and for whatever reason, there was not enough staff working. We felt badly for him. However, the remainder of our stay was wonderful. All the staff was very friendly and accommodating. We would stay again and will definitely recommend your Auberge.

About the hotel everything was fine. We were very comfortable in our junior suite. The restaurant was nice but the breakfast service was excessively long one morning, our order was forgotten. The food in the morning was OK but without more and for supper, the desserts were not up to par.

Stayed here a couple of nights for work. Location is fantasic as there is lots to do in walking distances and is nice with the cobble stone roads. Our room was great. Very clean and large. Shower was one of the best i’ve been in and the staff was super friendly. The restaurant beside had great breakfast in the morning. I asked for an iron when I first arrived and was given one right away which was great service.

I found that given the fact that we had rented the suite with the spa, there should have been bathrobes and slippers provided. But otherwise, it was a very pleasant stay. The spa is a nice asset. The bed a little soft, but comfortable and vast to wish! The lighting is really nice… That's lovely!

Perfect place that accepts dogs. The reception was more than perfect. The rooms are spotless and the 2 big Labradors loved it.
The meal of the supper very good as well as the lunches included only better to leave a day of skiing with 16 cm of new snow.
Once again the service as much at the hotel as at the restaurant was high level.

We had a wonderful stay! It was our first time visiting Quebec and when we come back (which we will! ) we will return to the Auberge Place d'armes. From the friendly staff, to the quaint rooms and wonderful restaurant — we were not disappointed. The location was perfect; within walking distance to many site-seeing opportunities, as well as a short walk to catch a taxi cab our scheduled tour. Simply put, we chose the best place possible to spend our honeymoon.

We loved our room it was super cute. We were upgraded because there was availability and it was great. Loved the exposed stone and decor. The restaurant's food was delicious. Wish there were more breakfast choices but it was really good! The option to hold our luggage while we were site seeing was also great. Location is perfect! We had a view of Chateau Frontenac from our bedroom window loved it! Ty.

We were so pleased with our stay! From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed and always felt taken care of by the front desk staff. Breakfast was wonderful (multiple options! ) and our second morning, we were leaving before the restaurant opened (and so we just assumed would miss breakfast) but were offered take-away breakfast, which we thought was just above and beyond. Loved our room, comfortable, warm, and clean. Location was perfect. Would definitely stay here again if we returned to Quebec City.

Great staff, great location, comfortable room. Excellent modern shower. Disappointed that my request for low floor was not accommodated. We made the request months in advance. My husband had many ortho surgeries and stairs were difficult. Asked for a change said they cou, don’t. We traveled with another couple and wished that there was a larger Rea to socialize. Staff was the best.

Wonderful stay in Quebec city. Great location. Walk up to the attic room gave us some exercise. The rooms were very quaint. Don't get out of bed to fast if you are in the attic room.

Hello, We were offered an upgrade to our arrival with a view of the castle which was very appreciated. The room was Beautiful. The service at the hotel was courteous and friendly. Our dinner at Jules was delicious and the atmosphere once again warm. We recommend this hotel and during our future stays in Quebec it will be our guaranteed Pied-a-terre. After doing several searches for a hosting I believe the value for money is Unbeatable. Thank you once again for making our stay a memorable Event. Small, very small flat, we had to wait for our breakfast bill for a very long time. But this did not taint our stay.

This is a very nice hotel. The service was excellent, the restaurant fantastic (I loved the french onion soup in particular for dinner), and our overall experience was superb. The only addition I would add was the room was different then I expected. They combine old charm and modern style, which can be perfect, but the way in which the room was arranged made it smaller then it could have been and limited all privacy as the shower is open to the room, so if you are sharing it, there is no changing or showering in privacy. Moreover, if one person gets up earlier and turns on a light to get ready the other person will wake as well. With a slightly adjusted arrangement this could have been avoided and allowed for more living space in the room. I write this only as an observation. And not as a criticism, as everyone loves different things, which is what makes life wonderful! I would also say that I would recommend the hotel to anyone. It's location and service was great. The staff could not have been more accommodating, helpful, or friendlier.

The hotel is situated in a great location and in close proximity to all attractions, overlooking the Chateau. Breakfast and service at Chez Jules was impressive and was one of our favourite places to eat during our stay. Our room was clean and comfortable and the valet service was also a nice touch. My only suggestion would be that the front staff could have been more hospitable on arrival by offering maps of the city and direct us to tours or attractions. I had to ask for a city map on our second day which they had to pull out from behind the desk. Overall a great city and experience.

The service on the day was perfect! But in the evening, completely horrible. The lady at the greet had a silly look at every 3 nights we've been there. No smile, no good night. We had a lot of luggage arriving at the hotel and the restaurant was full which caused a cork at the entrance. The lady was of no service. We asked him for a place to drop off our luggage while waiting to check in or if we could go and put the luggage in our room and fill out the papers afterwards. No way. We had to juggle the baggage, the tourists, the valet and the check in papers. The valet forgot our lights on our car so no battery the next day and we needed our self. We already had a lot to deal with since we are getting married in the afternoon. Let's say we would have passed this extra stress. Besides this, hotel conveniently located. A few steps from the castle. Very nice room. As mentioned above, the day service was impecable. The breakfast included with the room were all excellent. Will return without hesitation. Let's just hope the evening lady is in a better mood.

Excellent, personalized service. The front desk person and valet went out of their way to help us find an appropriate place to park. Everyone was very friendly to our large dog. The room was very nice. Hotel location was excellent for walking the city.

Location was fantastic. Staff helpful. Restaurant great. Rooms well appointed but on the small side. Guests arriving by train, bus or boat should take a cab — the cost is reasonable and the walk is uphill.

The staff was great & very friendly & helpful. The location was wonderful, allowing us to walk everywhere & never need the car. Breakfasts were bountiful & delicious & better than expected. The only negative was the number of stairs we had to climb to our room. Although I was aware I had booked the "attic" room on the 3rd floor, I was surprised to find we had to climb up 3 steep double staircases to our room. Fortunately, we were up to the challenge & were thankful we had help getting our suitcases up there on arrival! That being said, the room was charming & well appointed despite its small size & I loved the beams & exposed brick. Overall, we were very pleased with our choice of hotel!

Even though we had to wait briefly to get our room I could tell from the staff and just looking around that we had picked the best place for our Mother & daughter get away. We were happy to grab a bite to eat in th Jules Cafe while waiting and had a brief walk about and our bags were waiting for us when the room was finally ready. Everything from out going service, personalities, to the food and details in the room was fantastic. The fact there are no novelty items in the fridges for sale was an added comfort with my daughter having anaphylactic peanut and nut allergies and the kitchen and wait staff wère vert helpful and accommodating. The Renfrew suit is a delightful room and was enjoyed immensely though little time we spent in it. A spa run in the morning before in embarking on Our Last day was just What I needed. I enjoyed our stay so much I booked a return visit before I left. Noelle is an asset to the team for sure and I am sure as a staff memeber is appreciated for her care and efforts, Please say thanks to her for advising us on the suit as I had booked something else (though sure it would have been equally as nice). Thanks again to the kitchen for being so allergy aware my daughter loved everything we had. The selections available for breakfast with the stay are great we enjoyed our meals inside and out and the atmosphere. Great job, looking forward to my next visit. Bon journée.

Everyone was lovely and we are so happy with the way you treated our dog. It is rare to find such a wonderful place that is also so pet friendly. This is a charming hotel in a fantastic location. The staff goes out of their way to make you feel welcome and to meet all your needs. The rooms are lovely, very tastefully decorated with a quirky edge. They are spotless!

The location of the hotel is wonderful… right in the thick of Old Quebec. Loved it! We loved the room, but the bed was really hard for us. We are used to a softer mattress. Therefore, we had a hard time sleeping and were a little sore. Perhaps a soft mattress topper could be available for people who don't like hard mattresses. Otherwise we were quite happy with the room and loved the charm and decor. We did not enjoy the smell in the hallway/stairwell emanating from the restaurant kitchen, but fortunately it did not permeate the walls of our room.

It was only for one night but I wish it was more. I was in need to get out of a bad rental situation and came across this quant charming place the night before. I was originally on a booking site but then went straight to their website and it couldn't have been easier. I was so overjoyed with the experience and the care they took with me and my friend, it just happened to be our birthday, and they wished us a happy one during our dinner. We ate in the restaurant downstairs and the food was excellent. I would definitely recommend the Auberge Place D'Armes to anyone at anytime. If I'm ever in the neighborhood again I will be giving them a call.

The property could not choose a better location. It can be busy, however, with the artists and people congregating on the patios. I loved it. We chose a superior room at the top of the stairs. Small but well cozy and had everything we needed. It had a glass enclosed shower in the room with a privacy blind rather than a bathroom. The bathroom with toilet and sink was very small but nicely appointed in marble tile. The bed was very comfortable. We enjoyed the breakfasts in the restaurant each morning, beautifully presented and delicious. Especially the scrambled eggs with feta and green onions. The stairs going from the street level to the small reception area was tricky to maneuver with baggage but assistance is always close by. Do take advantage of the car drop off and pickup. Well worth it. I will chose a larger room next time… friends had Was really nice and spacious.

Perfect location — Service and food at the restaurant for dinner very well. The breakfast was good but nothing spectacular compared to the supper. The room was clean and decorated in an original way. We loved our experience.

Very cute and well situated hotel. My room was lovely and the staff were so friendly & helpful. I arrived very, very early and left late in the next day & staff didn't hesitate to offer to store my luggage while I wandered around town. The free drink and breakfast were delicious as well. I would definitely recommend this hotel!

One star less because of noise early in the morning of Saturday: pick up trash cans and glass are not really insulating.
And attention to service to the Pain Béni: long wait before taking our order, Orange juice instead of Apple juice, cereal cheese instead of the undertaker ordered Mr.

Service is excellent, the room is beautiful and comfortable, but the most important is how fantastic the location is. In the heart of old Quebec, it's at walking distance to any of the fascinating attractions.

Fantastic hotel right in the heart of Vieux Québec. The room was charming and clean. The staff were so professional and friendly. The restaurant was good, and it was a nice touch that such a high quality breakfast was included in our stay! Would highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Québec. We will be back for sure!

I'm torn between three or four stars.
Beautiful home, great attentive service, great choice on the menu and nice wine list. Bravo for the presentation of the dishes! And they are very good. For the price, they are usually between 30 and 40 dollars the main course. The atmosphere married the ancient and the modern. It's nice.
My hesitation for average or very good: you should know that on Saturday there are two services. We would have liked to know rather than to be told to leave the field practically once the addition is set.

The best small hotel we've ever stayed in. Built in 1640, superbly restored and located at the foot of the venerable Chauteu Frontenac, and next to the Notre Dame Cathedral. The staff complemented the hotel perfectly and the Restaurant's food was 4+ stars. Quebec City is a jewel-Paris on a small scale. We'll go back!

Wonderful inn. Beautiful room with exposed stone walls. Excellent service by very friendly staff. Great restaurant attached, where we had a lovely dinner our first night and breakfast both mornings of our stay. Breakfast is included with your stay and is above and beyond what normally constitutes the "free" breakfast at most hotels. Will definitely stay again when we return to Quebec!
