This specific hotel brings down the honourable brand that Marriott stands for. After properly booking a room they went behind my back and cancelled it. When I confronted them on the issue they said and I quote… “You can pay the higher rate or you can cancel your reservation. ” Persisting on this and them forcefully cancelling my reservation with no authority! (Emails to prove it) I had to go to Mr Marriotts office. At this point finally something was done. All the managers should be fired on their deceitful and pressure tactics. I will never be staying at this hotel now or in the future.

The best of the hotel was the restaurant: Issam gave us and above & beyond service at Darlington Restaurant inside hotel. Rooms were modern, clean and the hotel itself is closed to everything… we even walked to Old Montreal from Marriot. For me: Hotel was 9/10 and Restaurant was 10/10

Excellent hotel. The staff are super friendly. The room was great, very clean and comfortable. The location is great, 5 minuets from the metro, 10 minuets from the old port. Very much recommend.

I stayed here with 2 people and we had a great stay. The room was very spacious and the staff are so friendly. We couldn't have asked for a better experience!

Very good service, Stephanie took care of me and my mom. We got in early and were able to get into our room right away, which was so great. She also gave us a lot of suggestions for where to eat and what to see. All of these were wonderful! The hotel is well located in the center of downtown, between two metro lines. It was a short walk to most places, and anything else we could hop on a train and get there quick. Would come back again for sure.

Terrible customer service. We had three booked rooms with them for our family and our room when we walked in smelled damp. There maintenance guy came and said the AC was leaking and he fixed that but the carpet is still wet and damp. The front desk said that they didn’t have any rooms so they couldn’t move us and that’s all. So I said well ok. How about tomorrow so they said they will put in a request and I said what about today… can you at least offer us some compensation. At this point the front desk said that the room didn’t really smell damp and HAD WE had checked in earlier he could have done something. So this is our fault!?! UPDATE: Next morning, did meet with the manager and he was super nice and gave us a new room. I think there was bad staff member who just didn't know how to talk to customers.

This is my favorite hotel of all time, and I stay all over the world. It's not the flashiest or the most eclectic, but it's a wonderful place to rest and recover. The location is amazing, adjacent to both the fashionable areas and the Old Port. Bring your walking shoes!

Stayed here for the formula 1 race from Saturday to Sunday. While it says courtyard, this is not your typical courtyard. It includes a lot more amenities than US Courtyards, like a full service restaurant. The rooms also appear bigger and nicer. We had a room on the second floor and it was absolutely quiet. The location couldn't be better as well. 5-10 minutes walk to the surrounding subway stations and to the 'hotspots' in downtown. Staff was extremely friendly! Will definitely come back here if I Ever stay in Montreal again.

A nice looking hotel with great service. The room was spacious, very cozy and with a very comfortable bed. Great shower that worked really well. Very good location to walk around the city center. Highly recommendable.

Good hotel, downtown. No issues. It is a moderately priced hotel, given the area it is in. Not the hotel's fault, but driving on Rene — Levesques street though, seems like the traffic lights are timed to stop you at every second one!

Very nice hotel. We were there for a conference. Has a nice pool and a gym on the top floor although could not get a chance to try it. The breakfast in the restaurant seems reasonable. There were some places of interest not so far on foot.

Great hotel, perfect location to be able to visit downtown Montreal. They have a covered garage, for a fee. At certain times of the year the fact that it is indoors makes a big difference! The collaboration is not buffet like in other places but to the card. I didn't try the restaurant inside.

Very impressive hotel. So elegant and classy. We chose that hotel since it was close to our Romeo Santos concert at the Bell Center last night. As soon as we arrived the staff was super friendly and courteous. The rooms were clean and the beds very comfortable. I would definitely go back and highly recommend it.

Young professional? Don’t go. Me and my girlfriend came here on business, and despite having the reservations for weeks, when I arrived they lost the reservation, made me pay upfront in the middle of the night just to get a room. Staff was rude and clearly prioritizing older clients as they thought two kids don’t. Have money. As I checked out, they insisted that we were to clean the room to receive my deposit back when I explained I was rushing to a meeting. All of the older clients that were being helped beside me were instantly refunded for theirs while I had to wait for confirmation that the room was alright. As I type this they ignore me and answer phones. Worst thing is I used to work for a Courtyard so I know what the service can be and should be — this was far from it.

Checked in at the desk was very promptly and friendly after 5 hours of train ride from Toronto. They offered us the king size room on the 4th floor with the view of the Old Port. Room is contemporary designed. Enjoying our stay so far. Under 10 min walk from the Old Port. Love the location.

I have stayed at this property twice a month since it opened. There are only good things to say. From the moment you enter they make you feel welcome. Rooms are great. Restaurant very good. Pool, fitness center excellent. Location cannot be better. My compliments to management.

Room good but a little simple in comparison with other marriot. The location is not so Good, looking for something more central.

Great courtyard with all modern facilities. Fairly close to downtown attractions by walk. Room was super clean and had great views. Did not try the restaurant so cannot comment. They brought in extra water for me without my asking which was a nice touch. Overall great experience.

Staff was very courteous and professional. Everyone was bilingual with French and English and communication was no problem. Rooms were clean and well maintained. Underground garage parking was awesome since about a foot of snow fell while we were here.

Had everything we needed. Wheelchair adapted room was spacious, bathroom and shower easy to navigate for someone with very limited mobility. Bed was comfy, housekeeping quick and courteous, pool area very basic but hot was HOT and steam bath was clean and delightful. Nicely decorated. Friendly service.

Had a beautiful stay. Amazing service and amenities. The view gets better as you go higher. Parking is a little on the higher side. Everything else was brilliant. Will be staying here next time I visit Montreal.

Great location and very nice place. Staff was in training but was already up to par and very courteous. Had a quick walk around and the place has character. Easy to get to subway lines, only one block from Ste-Catherine, the Place des Spectacles and Place des Arts. Had a great view from the eight floor and we could actually see the fireworks at the Casino from there.

Near metro station, with a restaurant at the ground floor and Chinatown nearby. The room is clean, and being clean everyday. Staff is very courteous. Free access to amenity, pool and gym. 747 bus to and from the airport. The room is colder than I would like during the winter, the heating is not good.

Trés bon! I loved it. C'est trés sympa et clean. Mon français est ne bon pas, mais cette parler anglais. Food was very good and super nice people, with awesome accents. Nice and big room, and clean. Nice bathroom. One of the nicest hotels I've ever been too.

I went there in 5 to 7 with my colleagues. The setting is very pleasant. I do not give 5 stars because the waiter asked us to come to pay the unit our glasses at the counter. She could have moved with the machine to see us.

I posted here as part of reactionary behavior, but all I can say is this place is decent overall; I stay in Marriott hotels at least 10 nights a year, and hotels in general over 20 nights a year. Pretty active traveler for business and personal matters, and consider Marriott one of the few chains that treats you like family whenever possible. Only one thing irked me; the hotel just randomly decided to close the hot tub 2 hours early despite posting in several places that it is open until 11 — — how much work is it to send someone up after the pool is advertised as closed? In their defense, this is probably just an overreaction to a long business day, missing that late night soak I had looked forward to for hours. Overall, the staff is friendly, helpful and courteous. There are cheaper hotels in Montreal, probably with better amenities; but none so consistent. The place is spotless, the parking garage is safe and affordable, and the location is killer if you like to visit the best steak houses in the city (several walking distance). I have stayed in other places, but for the price, you can't beat this hotel! I can't see myself staying anywhere else in the city for short term travel!

So gorgeous! Lovely hikes. Ample parking. We loved it. Take a walk around beaver pond and appreciate Olmsted and his vision.

I stay here every week and have been doing so for the past 12 months or so The good: huge rooms, very clean, very comfortable and modern. Quiet with all the usual amenities (good a/c, iron, fridge etc). Really great staff. Always get a nice welcome and am made to feel at home. Parking garage is great — modern, spacious and well lit. Always plenty of free space. The bad: Occasionally I’ve had a room where the faucet doesn’t run cold as one of the other reviews mentioned. Not sure what the issue is there but it didn’t effect my stay. Sometimes in the height of summer the A/C kicks into ‘high gear’ and is intolerably noisy. Easily resolved by turning the thermostat down in stages so it stays in its gentle cooling mode.

Nice looking and well kept hotel. Friendly and helpful staff. The bartender was funny and entertaining. Would definitely recommend and would stay again.

My room had very high cieling which was really cool along with big windows. Our bathroom's fan didn't work and the sink only had scalding hot water. The shower was nice, the fridge in the room was spacious, the bed was comfy and the TV was nice. The room service was friendly, and the hotel restaurant and bar was amazing.

Best hotel we have stayed at — hands down. It was our honeymoon, and they went above and beyond to make us feel special. Our room was perfect with a wonderful panoramic view. Thank you for the awesome memories!

Fancy hotel but — no hot water! I'm staying here and they ran out of hot water with probably a full hotel. No shower this morning for my wife. When I asked the receptionist about it, they told me to wait an hour, but she didn't note my room number. Not a smart behaviour. Two friends of us had both stomach problems after eating dinner in the hotel restaurant. Service otherwise is very nice and really helpful, but this hot water problem is very poorly managed for such a hotel. On this Formula 1 weekend all room price are increased too. So they should be prepared for it. My ratings are generally pretty good, but how they handled the hot water problem was very unprofessional for a hotel where we pay than 500 $ a night.

Big room, comfortable bed, nice shower and bathroom, poolside rooftop deck chairs, pool and hot tub are nice, huge workout room with amazing view, great restaurant. Definitely staying here again!

Nice big hotel, rooms recently refurbished with added chic and space. The pool and hot tub is a plus. The bar and breakfast restaurant are both really good. Great staff everywhere. Perfect location.

I come here a lot for conferences and the bathrooms are always clean. The conference rooms are always clean, bright and comfortable. The staff at the front desk are very prompt, helpful and attentive.

I come stay here for work purposes often. Rooms are nice, staff are excellent and friendly. The balconies are however filthy. I would give them a perfect score if they had just maintained them better.

We stayed here as a family overnight on December 16 while in town to watch Disney on Ice. What a pleasant surprise when we checked into our room (#107) and it was newly renovated and so modern! The room was very large and the pillows were to die for! Nice breakfast buffet, too! Very conveniently located only 5 minutes from the Oncenter. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Well located hotel. We stayed one night as a family and it was comfortable. Fitted sheet on one of the bed was too small and kept moving and hair on the pillow, we didn't complaint about it. We ordered room service and beside being pricy it was delicious. Check in and out process easy with the app.

Overall it was a good experience, was not told able breakfast upon check in and the beds are not overly comfortable.

It's okay, could be a lot better though. The owner clearly doesn't want to invest in the hotel, but I'm not sure why because the location is perfect and close to everything. The check in was long and I m not even sure they knew what they were doing (i work in a quality Inn too). However, Dimitri at the front desk was very professional and the check out was very smooth. Honestly, if it wasn't for him and the low pricing, it would have a 1 or 2 stars.

Located in the center of Montreal, next to McGill University. Room spacious and clean, beds comfortable. Staff pleasant and eager to help. We arrived, or n little in advance, but it has not been a problem. The stay at the Delta went smoothly, the whole family loved it.

I had my family from France (seniors) stay at this Hotel while on a tour of Canada with Go West Tours. They were only in Montreal and the neighbouring cities for 3 days, Since they had no cell phone and are not techno savvy, we had agreed that we would call the Hotel to get in touch with them once they arrived. When we called the Hotel, they were out touring, so we left a message with the front desk for them. To call us back. The Hotel never delivered the message and they left the next morning for Quebec City. When I called the Hotel back, they admitted that the message had not been delivered, because they had not seen them again.! What kind of Hotel waits to see their guests to give them a message? They should have slid a note under their door! While talking to the front desk clerk I told him that my family members were to return to the hotel on Sunday and could he make sure, this time, that they get the message to call us back. WELL! He proceeded to inform us that they were not returning to the same Hotel! When I told him that my family members had confirmed with us prior to leaving France that they were definitely returning to his Hotel, he insisted to tell me that they were not. I asked him if he knew which Hotel they would be at and he said no, but that I could call the Tour operator to find out, which he found quite amusing!

Worst customer service ever. Booked a 3 night stay. Air conditioning unit malfunctioned partway through the first night. Maintenance "fixed" it in the morning. Malfunctioned again by supper time. Maintenance "fixed" it again. Malfunctioned through the second night. Reported problem again the next morning. Asked for compensation (maybe a reduced rate, free parking, or something towards a future stay). Was told that fixing the air conditioning or moving rooms WAS our compensation. Was also told that I "need to be more patient" and that if it was really that big a deal I should have asked to change rooms in the middle of the night (with two kids in tow). They said they can't (won't? ) compensate for issues they are addressing. Worst customer service — I expect MORE from the Marriott.

Very comfortable beds, furniture is high quality, cleaning was done up to party, the bathrooms are absolutely gorgeous marble and granite with stainless steel handles, room temp was perfect too. Felt great staying here.

The rooms are very well put together and the cleaning staff does a wonderful job. If only the Internet would connect easier or allow more than 4 devices per room.

Very good hotel, Central location, near Mcgill University and 300 metres in Thebay less than 200 meters; subway on the edge of the travel convenience. Outside the hotel and the room are very quiet, the room clean and safe.

Terrible customer service — they care more about upholding their unethical corporate policy than their actual long-term, loyal, elite status paying customers. Good luck if you ever accidentally book a room with their advanced rate and try to cancel it. It doesn't matter if you cancel it within three days and 3 MONTHS prior to your stay — they can care less. They will take your money and run and will say they are just following "corporate policy" — no exceptions. I wouldn't even give this one star if I could post this without. I'd go elsewhere.
