Very terrible booking system, hotel property owner does not care about customer experience … I will not recommend and be careful if you are still choosing to book do not book through central booking center!

I loved my stay at this hotel for work! The staff is very smiling and friendly, warm atmosphere! Spacious room perfect for work, beautiful views of the city, very clean hotel and what to say about the strategic location right in the heart of the city centre. All amenities are there (shopping center inside the Desjardins Complex, grocery store, SAQ, subway, etc. ). The Time Out Market with a host of good restaurants just a short walk and right in the heart of Montreal's entertainment district. I would stay there again in the summer as with the roof terrace and outdoor shows the experience should be even better! A special mention for Maria at the front desk who was very kind, available and courteous to find me the best luxury pizza in delivery that night!

Great place! Easy access to lots of activities.

A lot of construction outside and around the hotel, very noisy and confusing. The employees were ok but actually some were difficult to understand … French is their primary language. We couldn’t really get easily understood directions but we found construction workers outside the hotel that were very helpful.

The hotel is very clean, the housekeeper Gabriela was amazing, She always was attended to cover each of our needs during our stay at the hotel. 100% recommended this great hotel.

A wonderful experience staying at Double Tree in Montreal. Not only we received a top notch service, the place is in the heart of the city. The staffs are very friendly and accommodating, on top of that the room is always sparkling clean. We will definitely go back.

From the time we drove into the garage to park until the minute we left there was not one thing bad I could say about this place. From the rooms, the beautiful restaurant, there lounge, balcony, room service and hospitality this place I highly recommend. We were only there 1 night and had never been to Canada. I will say this, we certainly will be back for much more then one night. Also there restaurant they told us is getting a hole new look. Nine million dollar look. Will be open next Summer.

Beautiful hotel, checked in today with a large group of colleagues and was extremely impressed at the level of service.

Horrible! Walls made out of paper (we could hear everything! ). Some of the staff was rude and arrogant. Had the worst experience with the massage therapist at the SPA. NEVER EVER going back there. The place lacks empathy and consideration.

Clean room. Awesome front desk staff, bringing us everything we ask for such as glasses and bottle opener even! Second time coming back and was impressed then even.
Location is unmatched, giving you closeness to metro, shopping and dinning.
The in room entertainment is excellent and modern, such that you can use their Wi-Fi to watch netflix or you tube on their massive tv.
So much more could be said… just an amazing experience!

Nicely located in the heart of the city. The evenings are beautiful and lively in the neighborhood. If you’re a traveler / tourist it’s the preferred hotel to stay in. Close from all the great locations of Old City and great food restaurants within the walking area.

Stayed there with family a few weekends ago and the hotel was nice and clean. Would love to stay there again due to it’s convenient location in the core of Downtown Montreal. The only request would be to have more available and faster customer service, waited 20 minutes in line to check in due to only two people assisting the front desk and rooms not being ready. Other than that, the rest was all good!

Clean and modern rooms. Pool area could use some help especially the outdoors. Enjoyed the wet and dry saunas. Very nice staff. Currently under construction as of 9/2/2018 so a bit of a maze trying to get in and out.

Cold service and it is very difficult to pay happy.
I had an identity theft, but I almost don't use my credit card. So very difficult for them to have another method of payment.

I really wanted to love this place but we sadly had a bad experience. If you're planning to stay more than a night, avoid this hotel specially on weekends! Pros: location and cleanliness Cons: — our room had a very unpleasant smell (chemical like) … avoid room 1649 — other room tenants don't care about people, they will scream and shout anytime of the day. We had a very unpleasant 5 day stay with people talking VERY loudly from 5am to 1am. The doors should definitely be soundproof. There are signs on every level where the elevators are located indicating to be quiet during certain hours, not visible enough to me! — during our check in, a bunch of very drunk men behind us were barking and shouting. The hotel personnel took a good 10 min to call security, who btw was completely useless. — avoid weekends were people come to get drunk and conventions take place. — the entrance is very messy, you have to go through a parking or the mall to access the elevator leading to the hotel. We were glad to leave the hotel after 5 days, never again!

Very nice hotel. Mall and food court attached to hotel via elevator. During the summer it's located near festivities including the Montreal Jazz Festival. The hotel has a fully equipped gym next to an indoor pool that has a sunroof; simply beautiful during the day and evening!

The hotel has recently been renovated.
The rooms are nice, fluffy bedding, with coffee maker, shower, large TV screen.
Gym with swimming pool.
Restaurant room (tested for breakfast) with a good choice of dishes, the team is very friendly.
The hotel is very well located; a living centre is located below (Complex Desjardins) with food-court, commercial, small supermarket.
All connected to a metro station.

Had a great night. The room was clean and quiet and had a great view to downtown Montreal. It was a short stay but one that I enjoyed very much, walking distance from many shops and different neighbourhood.

Very classy, located in a large shopping center where you can taste the poutine. A 5 minute walk from the old port, from the cathedral where Céline Dion got married. 1/4h from Mount Royal on foot. Great for tourists. Excellent meal as the pool and sauna! I love it!

Very poorly organized — some parts closed — bar was not open at 4:00. No one working anywhere… so odd.

Fine in general. No views unless you buy up. Reception on the 6th floor is a big weird but the shopping mall has lots of food options and a deed decent grocery store. Bath was rather dark with poor mirror light; appears to be an internal light in the mirror but it did not work. Room was not made up one day. Tiny fridge. Good bed.

Great hotel. Kind of difficult to get to because you have to take one elevator up to the 6th floor from the shopping center and that puts you out by the bar area and you walk around to reception, then take another set of elevators to get to the guest rooms. Other than that quirk, I had a great stay and would definitely come back. It's nice to be connected to the shopping center if you need to go buy anything or grab some food. The hotel has a pool table that let's guests play for free which I loved. They also have a wine bar and you can purchase a card for $20 from the front desk and try different wines from about 30 wines available, and it's open until 3am (regular bar closes at 11pm).

Great location, rude employees. Our room fridge was not working. Called guest services multiple times, then the reception. No one answered. Went down for help. They said some one was coming, well no one came. Went back down however this time there were at the least 40 people at the reception area. A tour bus took over and no one took care of us. No one called to follow up. There are many other hotels within this area. We wont be back to Hyatt!

My family and I stayed at the Hyatt Regency whilst in Montreal. It was near a mall and a lot of attractions to see nearby. The atmosphere was absolutely beautiful, interior was clean, polished, and updated! The hotel room was clean, as the staff were very kind! However, one thing that I did not like was the pool. It was fairly dirty, but the upstairs to the balcony had a beautiful view of Montreal! Would definitely come here again next time I visit Montreal again :)

This is a great hotel located very close to Rue St. Catherine in downtown Montreal. The hotel is attached to an indoor shopping mall and is very close to many attractions. The rooms are recently upgraded and it has many amenities for both the business and leisure traveler. The staff are very friendly and professional. The hotel contains a lounge and restaurant which are very good. I definitely recommend this place.

Hotel rooms are alright. The bathroom doors is a sliding ones, which could make it awkward sometimes, haha. Pool was amazing and the steam room was really nice too. Breakfast was good (buffet) self park is 100% the way to go. Valet is very slow and not work the price.

We stayed for our anniversary as well as the nuit Blanche weekend. Had a great time. Nice view from the room. It was close to downtown. Very clean and great service. Will absolutely be coming back!

Very nice place that leaves no wishes unfulfilled. Huge breakfast buffet! For business events it is great because of all the facilities they offer for seminars and alike. It is attached to a beautiful shopping center (just go all the way down in the elevator and you're right there) which is also directly connected to the metro and underground city. Chinatown and a few museums are just a short walk away. The staff is very helpful and friendly and there is a garage.

Hotel located on Jeanne-Mance Street, close to the mythical Ste-Catherine Street and close to the entertainment district, this property is the perfect place for the summer season and the many activities Montreal offers. The rooms are comfortable and the staff are dedicated and friendly. Good stay at all!

Catastrophic!
I only talk about the lobby and the restaurant where I went on 26/01. Reception unpleasant to possible. In addition to slow and disdainful service, the waitress, rude and incompetent, deducted her even her tip from my currency. Add to this a particularly poor wine list for an establishment of this standing and you get the score of 1/5, and still I am generous. My only star goes to the scenery for the rest flee!

Great location, both summer and winter there is so much to do around the hotel since it’s in the heart of the city! The staff was friendly and helpful. The rooms were nicely renovated and modern with a touch of beautiful art! The beds were very comfortable and the bar was such a great ambience. Definitely worth while.

This was a great hotel. I loved the decor and the newly-renovated rooms were neat, luxurious and very comfortable. There was still some construction going on around the outsider of the building while I was there, but I couldn't hear it on the 20th floor. The service was friendly, bilingual and efficient. Superb modern hotel overlooking the Place des Arts! The most beautiful hotel reception room in Montreal and splendid bar breathtaking. The rooms are large and very tasteful, it feels really like home. Also has very nice meeting rooms, only small downside is access to the large meeting rooms which seems totally disconnected from the hotel. We have to pass on a footbridge overlooking the Desjardins centre and then climb a escalator. All in all, beautiful and I highly recommend to stay at the centre of Montreal Activities!

Construction workers have no respect for sleeping guests. Staff in the hotel do not apologize for this when called, rather they simply say "we are working on it". Rather low quality experience.

Very chic and attractive hotel under going some renovations. Is a large convention hotel with attached meeting space and a shopping center. Features and staff are top notch and the only reason not giving five stars is the guests. I had a hospitality suite in the room above mine and they were loud and noisy. Hotel staff sent security and I put on headphones. Next morning they were breaking down the hospitality suite and sounded like someone dropped ball bearings every few minutes for the next hour. Hotel relocated me after second incident.

The hotel was located in the heart of the city. Fantastic location! The room was affordable and had direct access to an underground shopping mall, but it should be noted that this mall is seperate from the underground city. The service was great. The room was clean and comfortable, and we had a great view of the city!

Hotel staff were very friendly. Meeting rooms were a comfortable temperature (a nice change from the usual freezing rooms during conferences at other locations! ) Audio and visual was great and food service was good. The room was large and comfortable. There was lots of room in the bathroom. The shower had great water pressure. The location was close to nice shopping and restaurants. I would stay here again.

— No one was at reception to assist in checking for over 20 minutes.
— Baggage delivered at room after 1.5 hours after I called reception desk and spouse physically followed up.
— On their website they posted breakfast included at room cost but when I went to check out they charged $52. Additional for 2 persons breakfast. When I defended they asked proof on my claim. This is disgusting that their front line staffs are not aware of the hotel policy. I felt totally embarrassed and humiliated. I will never recommend this hotel to anyone.

Good Service by the front desk. Good location. The Restaurant service need to improve. Instead of pay more attention to the customer, they just too busy talk to each other.

The rooms are outdated. They need renovations. The quick interactions I had with a couple of the staff members was pleasant. Also getting in and out of the hotel is frustrating as you have to take two separate elevators and during peak times, the elevators are quite slow.

Stayed here during a professional conference. Easy 2-3 block walk to the conference center from hotel. My room was upgraded to one of the newer renovated rooms, which was spacious and comfortable. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Pool area was lovely. This hotel is also attached to a mall, which is nice.

I stayed at one of the upgraded rooms. Spacious and clean rooms. The buffet breakfast was very good. Great location next to Metro station. Restaurants and shopping nearby. The cons would be very slow and outdated elevators and noisy old mini fridge in the room.

Stayed over the weekend. Received rude and poor customer service from the front desk when I asked to have a duvet replaced because it poped and feathers were all over the room. The lady on the phone when I called the first night was extremely snobby and rude saying that they knew and would send someone over. No one came. This was Saturday 5th. You have no problem charging extra for a busy weekend maybe put that money towards having more staff at night then. Room never got clean during the entire stay. Called sunday night you guys managed to finally send someone in 2 hours after I called. Sending me the wrong stuff. Asked for a new duvet and sheets and shampoo and I got 2 new sheets and a tooth brush… wtf honestly you know you're gonna have a busy weekend keep more staff around. This is by far the worst service ive had from a hotel.

A poorly run and incredibly unsafe hotel. While there were many flaws with the room, service, and elevators, I was willing to overlook these since it was a crowded weekend with the Jazz Festival. Although after 38 years of this festival you would think the hotel came up with a system to handle it. What I cannot forgive is how the hotel does not priotize the safety of its guests. A man was making sexual advances on other men in the restroom and exposing himself. After both my partner and I experienced this I reported it to the front desk and security, giving a detailed description of the man and where he was sitting when not trying to sexually assault men in the restroom. 30 minutes later when I went into the bathroom the same incident happened with the same man. A lackluster response was given the second time around, saying "oh, is it still a problem". Hyatt as a brand, and this particular Hyatt, needs to get their act together on multiple levels.

The 2 times I stayed there I was very satisfied, perfect service, perfect room. However since the renovations the price is just too high and phoning to cancel my last booking was quite disappointing. I do the 1 to have the service in French and then they transfer me to a voice mailbox in English with which I have to dialogue to cancel my reservation. Then I get transferred to a human and it is still an Anglophone service… why there is the French option if you give me only English service?

We celebrated our prom on the terrace. The food was good, but not mind blowing. The service was great, everything went as it was supposed to go, the view was very nice. Of course, what makes a prom great isn't so much the location as the people celebrating it, but it definitely respects the expectations we had. I'd recommend this location for any future prom organizers.

Decent hotel all around. SLOWEST ELEVATORS EVER! It may seem silly to mention but the elevators often took minutes and the elevators to the parking garage were equally as slow but smelled like electrical burning. Friendly staff, good view from the outdoor bar area. During the summer months there are often festivals in the area so walking from the hotel is easy, also there are metro stops very near by.

A hotel very high range, restaurant and shops was 30 seconds, rooms asses well team by Center it took I sleeps on a 'cot' because of a booking over.

I visited this hotel in a professional setting. We were in the room inspiration which was to completely adequate for a group our size.
The hotel employees were helping and friendly, but the wireless network was reserved for those who had a room. Several people in our group were particularly disappointed by this fact.
Nevertheless, we enjoyed the place for its location and ease of access.

Room with a view: a little dust on the furniture. Small skinny need a layer of modernity. The breakfast buffet style was perfect for me. Not to mention the warm welcome of the staff. My kids loved it. We took advantage of the montreal highlights festival, which was just below the spot. Close to all services. With an interesting family package, I will return.

Lobby and entrance looks amazing and that's where anything good ends. Room is decent as most furnishings have been updated, however the bathroom is falling apart. Ceiling has been plastered over again and again to patch up something wrong. Outlets in the room are broken and don't work. Ordered room service and it comically came to 50$+ for a pizza and a beer after they automatically added gratuity and a service charge onto the already inflated prices.

We have been for the second time at the Hyatt Regency Montreal and enjoyed the home.
Our reservation was lost, despite the code and confirmation by email that we have indicated
(this was already the case in July, 2014), the team has not apologized. They took out the worst theories and when finally a light gushed and they found our reservation, they said that the number of Agency was not good.
Quality of service including hospitality, for us 0. We do not recommend this hotel, its only asset and be in downtown Montreal.

Location is excellent. Very close to everything a tourist could want to do. Hotel lobby and restaurant are gorgeous. If only the updated the rooms to match the rest of the hotel… Water pressure in the showers are very low and bathroom is tiny. The rooms also look very outdated.

The lobby, and the facilities are nice. Very modern design and some special lightning effects. Parking lot is available for $10 per 24 hours, which is cheap. The only thing I would say needs improvement on is the room, which is kind of dated and a bit smallish side, but pretty clean though. Bathroom light is dim and without shower head. Not a huge issue, but could have been better.

Excellent experience here. Staff was amazing and the location was terrific. We went while the square behind the hotel hosted a fashion week. Close to Old Montreal. The common area of the hotel was clearly recently renovated. The rooms were a little dated, but generally clean and nice. Price was reasonable (we went in August). Be careful when booking through Expedia. If you get the "business stay" rate, only breakfast for 1 is included even if you indicate 4 people are staying. Note there is a supermarket downstairs in the adjoining mall for inexpensive food.

I forgot my wallet in the hotel room. I called a couple times and no one could answer the phone other than the front desk to help me. I really hope this service improves. Other than that the hotel was clean and well decorated. Front desk was helpful and overall stay was pretty enjoyable.

This is the one and only night I will ever spend in this hotel. I arrived at 11:30 p. M. After driving in from Toronto, only to be told that when I had booked the room online it was actually sold out and that I could have a room with just a pull out couch, no bed but they would give me a discounted rate off the 260 with tax I had spent for one king size bed with a view. If it were not so late in the evening and my cousin was not getting married tomorrow I would have left right then and there. As I was standing at the desk however a couple had been complaining and cancelled their room or reservation. They then informed me they had a cancellation and they would put me in a room with a bed not just a couch. Upon arriving the room is actually falling apart which I have pictures to prove. Literal pieces of the wall hanging off and hair in my bathtub, which I can now not use. That grosses me out. I can definitely see why the people prior to Me cancelled. Everyone do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else.

Superb hotel, wonderful staff. Loved the lounge, the restaurant, the terraces, every common area beautifully designed and kept meticulously clean and pleasant. The location cannot be better — you are within walking distance of museums, — just across the street, the Musée d'Art Contemporaine — music and theater venues, shops, restaurants and cafes. Two quick elevator rides allow you to reach the Complexe Desjardins, full of useful stores, a food court, bank and exchange services, a pharmacy, a bookstore and a grocery store.

A wonderful hotel and absolutely fantastic staff! I left something in my hotel room and was not even hoping to retrieve it when I called them to see if it was reported in Lost and Found. It was not, nonetheless, one of the managers (Virginie) went to a great length to look for it and she was able to find it and then mail it back to me! I was so overwhelmed and so grateful! Dear Hyatt Regency Montreal, please give my biggest thanks to Virginie! Merci beaucoup.

Poor value during jazzfest as Regency Club Lounge rooms are very expensive. Rooms are also quite dull and boring. On the upside, beautiful pool and cool lounge.

Boring, clinical, small rooms, expensive. There are far better hotels, for much less $$$ in downtown Montreal. A name can only carry you so far.

Very good clean quiet lunch poor bed comfortable friendly staff.

The lobby and lounge very trendy when we first arrived very excited. Then into antiquated elevators, broken parts on them the rooms are not much better. Mattresses are worn out and extremely uncomfortable, no water pressure and the room kept us up all night with a loud random crack from the walls. Brought our complaints forward and the staff didn't seem to really care.

I stayed for a night in summer during the Francofolies (French music festival). Location couldn't be better. That's the big plus of the hotel. You can see it starts to date a bit and they tried to renovate it. I don't have much to complain about though. If you're looking for a state-of-the-art 5-star hotel, not the place. If you want to move around the city, it's the perfect spot.

The Hyatt Montreal has it all, I dj'ed there for a huge party in the month of may, friendly personnel, great food, great place to host for small and large parties, a terrace over looking the street, the best seats for the jazz fest. Very classy.

Stayed one night for my husband's birthday. The stay was overall enjoyable, but for the price we paid, we were left disappointed. First, the corridors and rooms need a makeover! Everything looked fade and out of fashion. The sound insulation was terrible. We could hear our next door guests talking clearly and also heard them having sex. That was very awkward and disturbing. The gym and pool were enjoyable however. The pool is not large enough to swim laps (also children in shallow end), but the glass roof and windows offered plenty of sunlight and a good view of the Place des Arts. The staff was courteous and pleasant. Unfortunately, we will not be going back to the Hyatt Regency Montreal.
