Our daughter’s wedding was there. It is beautiful, great food and service. The balcony seating makes it a bit less intimate.

We held our wedding here this year at the end of June. It was a little last minute as we booked approximately 4 or so months before our big day! Lesley and her team were amazing, friendly and very accommodating for a last minute event. Everything turned out so well! The Grand Hall and the grounds were beautiful and made for cozy and intimate backdrops for pictures, the atrium was gorgeous for our ceremony and accommodated all of our guests well!
Lesley put our nerves at ease when it came to planning; she is organized, professional, friendly and on top of her game! She made planning simple and worry-free and always made herself available to answer any and all of our questions.
Thank you again to Lesley and the staff at the Windermere Manor for the outstanding service and for making this experience one that my husband and will never forget! We truly had such an amazing day! ❤️ we would definitely recommend the Windermere Manor to anyone looking for a venue for their wedding!

My niece was married here on the weekend. Everything was beautiful. I can't think of a better place from accommodations, facility, staff and food.

My daughters wedding was there in October, the venue was perfect, had everything there. The food was amazing! I had the beef and hands down the best beef I have ever had. The staff and wedding planner were terrific, very attentive. We had no complaints, very pleased with how the day went. Just wished the weather was better but the venue had umbrella's for the wedding party even.

We had our wedding at Windermere Manor at the beginning of September and can't begin to explain how wonderful it all was! All of the staff were absolutely amazing, during the planning and the actually wedding. Though we had a few wedding coordinator changes throughout the months leading up not a detail or step was missed, and the evening went off without any issues. Lesley was incredible during all of it, and was super patient with our big group! The venue is stunning, the staff at the venue and hotel are amazing! I would most definitely recommend them to anyone and can't wait to celebrate our anniversary at the restaurant!

Attended lunch in one of the private dining rooms for a social function. The room was perfect for the event (about 40 p). Outside grounds were lovely for taking pictures.

Lesley and the team at Windermere provided an amazing wedding day experience. The staff was attentive and the day of set up was very stress free. Lesley was always quick to answer any questions I had about the venue, and accommodate any requests. My husband and I can't thank them enough for such a wonderful day!

We got married at Windermere last summer (amazing time! ) and were back to stay the night for our 1st anniversary. They provided us the same suite as our wedding night. It was fantastic! I would definitely recommend Windermere Manor to anyone getting married.

Quiet and Great Character. I would recommend this place anytime for anyone. Wheelchair accessible rooms and entrance. Management very helpful and friendly.

Even though I only spent last night at Windermere Manor; while I spent several days at the University of London Hospital. However my mother stayed with you; for the week, and we cannot stop telling everyone of the excellent customer service; luxurious room, and a incredible restaurant. A quiet escape from busy city life. Tucked away in a beautiful setting. Rooms were clean and service was quick and without hassle. Would recommend to all travelers.

Beautiful location for a wedding. Rooms were clean spacious and very affordable. Beds were the most comfortable I've ever had in a hotel. Full hot breakfast. Definitely would recommend this gem in a green space in the middle of London.

Attended here for a meeting and being the first time there I was very impressed with the location and the building. A good mix of old and new in a very nice wooded area near the university of Western campus.

She made everything simple and worry-free. She was always available to answer our questions and give us advice. Gwen was wonderful to dea…l with for all of the hotel bookings since most of our guests were from out of town. Thomas was also incredibly professional and helpful during the reception. Many of our guests commented on how all of the wait staff and bartenders were friendly, outgoing, and professional. Jessica is truly a standout employee in our minds! Our wedding day was perfect, thanks to the outstanding service we received. We definitely recommend Windermere Manor to anyone getting married!

Excellent high end hotel with an in-house restaurant that serves a particularly good lunch. The manor is best suited to visitors with business at the university or the surrounding area. It is also a popular wedding and party venue among locals.

We have stayed at Windermere twice now and have been very happy with the manor. The nice are large and nicely renovated. The front desk staff who checked us in and out were both lovely and professional. The hot buffet breakfast was very good and there was ample seating space in the lovely restaurant.

Just returned from London, ON and had a lovely stay at Windermere Manor. The front hosts were friendly, kind and accommodating — my room 108 was cozy, clean and comfy — it was great to have a fridge in the room to store snacks too! I have serious asthma issues and I was free of any problems — it was wonderful! The complimentary breakfast was delicious to have each morning, especially being gluten sensitive — there were lots of healthy options to get your day off on the right foot! The on-site honey bees, squirrels of every colour and beautiful trees just made you feel like you’re at a cottage retreat! It’s a hidden gem that has character, charm and charisma!

The room we got was seriously dated. Worn, old carpet. Worn furniture with crusty stuff on it. No worries though, the price was fair ($130 for the night). The mouldy bread in the included breakfast sent me over the top. Not to mention the worst continental breakfast you could imagine. 2 cereals, boiled eggs, bread, fruit and yogurt was all that was offered. Or, we could order for another $7. After seeing the mouldy bread, we didn’t order. It’s unfortunate. It’s a great location, and it has curb appeal, but the interior leaves a lot to be desired. It’s more of a motel feel.

Overall stay was good. The rooms are a bit dated, the tile in my bathroom was cracked. I was staying for a conference and the power had gone out for about 5 hours one evening on the second stay and it took them several hours to get it sorted out. Staff were not very helpful during this time and provided no support or knowledge on when power would come back on. No accommodation or flashlights provided. Pretty disappointed in that. The food was good at the restaurant. The front desk staff at the hotel were a bit curt with some of our group. There are better places in London that are welcoming and friendly to have conferences and group gatherings.

When my fiancé and I got engaged, we knew Windermere was going to be our venue. It was the only one we looked at and we booked the date as soon as possible. After being passed through a few wedding coordinators, we ended up with Lesley. She was great and helped us quite a bit along the way. Unfortunately we did run into some issues day of and after our wedding. We were informed 3 days before the wedding that the beef dish contained pork, something I am allergic to and two other guest could not have. We chose another meal for the three of us. When the plate was served to me at dinner, I frowned simply because I was jealous of everyone else’s beef. My waitress noticed and I told her why I couldn’t eat it. Immediately she became concerned as the sauce had pork in it! She very quickly replaced my entire plate with a very sincere apology (not her fault) but it never should have happened in the first place as they were aware of my allergy. We also had an issue the next day picking up décor. When we came to pick up our flowers they were gone, including my bouquet! No one in the venue had any idea who had come to pick them up, just that the flowers were gone. Thank goodness I had hired Unmistakeably You who tracked them down, otherwise we would have lost all of our flower arrangements, bouquets and centrepieces. Even with the problems, the venue was absolutely gorgeous. We didn’t need a lot of décor in order to give it the classic feel we were looking for.

I've been here twice — once for a professional event and once for a private dinner. Both times were great. The location is beautiful and the food and service were top notch. I will definitely be going back there for dinner.

We had our wedding at the Windermere last Saturday (January 20, 2018) and we cannot think of a more magical and beautiful place for our wedding. From our wedding coordinator Lesley to the staff serving us it was above PERFECT! And bartender Jessica will learn your drink of choice and keep them coming. (tip her big she is wonderful) They go above and beyond for there couples and we would recommend the Windermere to anybody considering getting married there. The hotel was also clean, affordable, and the extra touches they leave you the night of your wedding was so special. All of our guests loves the food and could not get enough of the onion and ale soup! we also had lots of guest compliment the fireplace and how cozy it was! We had our dream winter Wedding and it could not of been possible without the staff at the Windermere! If you book with them, you wont regret it … sincerely, Jeremy and Emily Reynen.

Let's start with the good. It's a short list. The setting is quaint and scenic for university grounds. The building itself is tired and badly in need of a good cleanup and painting. The room was a good size but the furniture is very old and chipped. The cleanliness of the room was sub-par. The staff were not the friendliest, not rude. Just not very helpful. The restaurant has a nice view but again, old furniture and I had to dig down a few plates in the pile to find a clean one. Food was okay.

Had a professional lunch. Service was good, but a little slow. This may be my not remembering that nice restaurants are not fast food venues, however. I would recommend this place overall.

One of my favourite places in London for a small conference or mid sized social event. Lovely setting with frequent deer sightings, their own apiary from which a nice honey lager is brewed locally, locally sourced ingredients for their menu, and an intimate atmosphere. Walking distance to Western's campus, and all at a reasonable price. Highly recommend.

An event took place in the Grand Hall. The location is near Collip Circle, just off Windermere road. There was one large room filled with standing tables, and a smaller room to the side with places to sit. There was another room with a small bar. To the left of the entrance is a hall with 3 closets to hang coats, as well as a bathroom that is accessible. The staff were very friendly, the food was delicious, and the setting was pretty professional.

This is a lovely spot to relax and unwind. It is in the city but feels like a Boutique Country inn. The grounds and building are picturesque and well maintained. Our room was a small suite with two Queen beds. Linens were of good quality and robes supplied as well. Staff went out of their way to ensure we had a nice stay. Fabulous venue for weddings as well. Definitely stay again.

I took a run with my son around the property. It as well kept. Signage was clear. Exterior of buildings well kept.

The ambience was great and the food was reasonably priced for gourmet. Pleasant service and calm environment. Their duck was a winner!

Just attended a wedding here. It was very nice. The outdoor areas were very pretty with lots of seating. Inside was also lovely. What a great place to host a wedding.

Held grand daughter's wedding there and it was the most beautiful wedding and venue I have ever attended. Everything was perfect. Thank you for a wonderful day.

The Grand Hall is beautiful. It has the charm of a Stately Victorian era banquet hall. The food was excellent. A beautiful place for a wedding!

Wait staff was very enthusiastic and polite when serving, and bar staff was polite and fast. The venue is very nice — it was done up for a wedding but it seemed like it was well taken care of. The windows are huge so there's lots of natural light, and the air conditioning worked perfectly. The yard outside is very scenic and pretty too :)

The guest Wi-Fi didn't work and the whole building didn't seem very well maintained. It was nice that the rooms were spacious and there was a kitchenette included. One of the beds smelled a little mouldy… but breakfast was delicious and it was extremely close to where I needed to go (the hospital). So location is definitely a plus!

Excellent experience. Staff super friendly, clean, reasonably priced. The hotel is secluded from Windermere road making the atmosphere quiet and calming. Highly recommended.

The rooms are spacious and we'll appointed, these are comfy and having a sitting room separate from the bedroom is fantastic…

I was at the Windermere for their wedding open house and food menu tasting — the food was amazing and we ticked a few things off our to-do list for our wedding!

This place is amazing — — wonderful historical setting in the woods. Conveniently located steps away from Western University. From the moment you walk in the doors, the staff is friendly and helpful. In particular Gwen Wu the Front Office Manager is unbelievably amazing — — — she has a wonderful way of making everyone feel special. Thank you for taking the time and really caring about your guests! We will definitely be back for another stay!

Attended a wedding. The staff was very curious and professional. Food was very good. Overall a great experience.

Clean, very friendly staff, stayed or valentine`s day lat year. Our dinner was very delicious. It was very romantic. When we got to our room there was chocolate coveed strawberries and a bottle of champagne. Overall we had a wonderful time, will be returning again on the next special occasion.

Went there for a christmas work lunch and just blown away at how lovely the place and grounds are. The main hall was beautifully decorated. The food was exquisite and service was pleasant and not overbearing.

4.5/5 The Grand Hall is spectacular. I meet here with a networking group every other week. The lunch they serve is awesome. I stayed at the hotel for a night out with my wife a few years ago. We had dinner in the café (delicious), a suite for the night (very spacious), and breakfast the next morning in the café too (also delicious). We had a wonderful experience. Great staff and management! The only thing keeping me from giving the manor 5/5 is the hotel was a little dated. Very clean and comfortable, just needs a fresher look. Thank you Windermere Manor!
