Very well located, friendly staff, pretty well insulated rooms, pool worthy of the name (unheated), air conditioning a bit noisy. Maybe just a little expensive.

On a hot summer day at the falls, my phone dies and I needed to call a cab to take my family, including 3 young kids to our hotel. I asked them to let me charge my phone just enough to call a cab and they refused asking me to go find a Tim Hortons. I am not sure this couple need to be in the hospitality business nor that the represent the character of other businesses in Niagara Falls.

Niagara Falls is very expensive and the more people there are, the more expensive it is whether it's at the restaurant, convenience store or parking lot. But this Olympia motel is really, really, really ugly. Stay away from going and you won't be disappointed. The $200.00 asked on a Saturday is really exaggeration at its highest level. We will never come back here that's for sure.

Was I ever surprised with how welcoming and how nice the owners were. My boyfriend has been before, and this was my first time. I've never met people such as the owners. If you need anything, they dont mind. They're so helpful and always kept us happy staying there. I didnt enjoy how rude people are from the states. Us Canadians are too nice. I will be going back and staying at this motel every time I go back. They were even offering for us to have extra time to stay in our room after check out. More than accondiating. We ended up hanging out in the main office and the lady was so sweet. The pool is always freaking warm and we LOVED it. I'm so excited to go back. And I JUST left 2 hours ago.

FRAUD ALERT! The owner refused to refund our $100 deposit although we did absolutely no damage to the room. His excuse was we were loud and people underneath us complained. Don't get this hotel. The furniture looks like they picked it off the street corner.

Location great Room very cold even with extra heater. Room needs too be spruced up. Bathroom needs to be cleaned better.

Korean family is most hospitable! Very Very basic. My room # 27 was much better than some of the other rooms I selected from. Was clean. Close to all sights. Good for a night or so especially on weekends when prices soar at other places.

The Olympia Motel is managed by an older Asian couple, John and his, "mentally ill", wife Elma. To begin with, do not drink the coffee at the front office in case she puts anything in it other than coffee. I went there because the price was low, other than that, if you are looking for a low quality place to stay and if you don't mind bed bugs and roaches visiting you at night, it will do. I was cold the whole night under the covers, and I regret going there. Towels are limited and who knows if they are clean or not. If you love your family, take them to a nice Hotel like the Marriott or Embassy Suites. That will give you more value for your money. This place should be the last resort. I understand about mental illness, I have a younger brother who suffers from it.

You get what you pay for. Affordable pricing compared to the surrounding. Room was clean and plain. Staff was friendly. Location was a couple minutes walk from Clifton Hill where the attractions and food/bars are. Although be careful, their windows do not lock! We just did not leave any valuables in the room.

Paid $175 for this very old and nasty motel. There is a weird smell in the room which the owners try to cover by strong air freshers that was giving me a headache all night. Very old 12 inch CRT TV and no microwave. Our room was very dark and the carpet was just disgusting. You can tell that it was not washed in years.

Great. Staff very friendly. Rooms pretty clean nice comfy bed, Ac/heat, clean towels and good Wi-Fi. Good price. Overall pretty good very satisfied with the location, one block away from the main stuff. Clean pool and free parking. 8.26.17

First off, excellent location if you want to be close to the "action". Second, it's a very basic place to stay so don't book expecting anything more than run-of-the-mill accommodations. My room wasn't nearly as bad as some of the reviewers state here, though of course that's only the one room. Cons: no shampoo, no phone, no… niceties in a nutshell and the biggest thing is that it isn't significantly cheaper than nicer accommodation although in a pinch it'll do Pros: location is great, pool was being enjoyed by families so I guess that was good as well, free parking and Wi-Fi (didn't try the Wi-Fi though)

Simply a dumb. I don't care if it is old. But it is as dirty as the inside of a garbage truck. Management is so clever. They take your money in advance and disappear. It took them literary 5 min after our chick in to leave. We got to room to find bed has not been made after the previous guests. Sheets are DIRTY. A strange mucus like thing on the bed. And the have bed bugs. We had to leave to another place paying again. It is the worst place ever.

Nice place. Friendly staff. We had tv, microwave and a mini fridge in our room. Bathroom was a little tight for space. The pool was clean and fun.

Simple and affordable motel. That you can't expect luxury at the price should be self-understood. But in our case (two double room for one night) the rooms were clean and the staff very friendly and helpful. Therefore four stars for a good price/performance ratio.

Very kind people and will do anything to make sure you enjoy your stay even brought us a heater and more toiletries at 3 am rented 4 rooms for my friends and family highly recommend very reasonable price.

Although "The Olympia Motel" may be 'dated' or considered 'old', the rooms are clean. Located at the top of Cliffton Hill, Niagara Falls, Ontario. Every major tourist attraction is within walking distance. And the staff cannot seem to do enough for you. It was our second stay with them, and will not be the last.

Clean, friendly staff, nice rooms. Exactly what you'd expect a Motel to be — the basics. No shampoo, conditioner, etc or hairdryer, microwave or minifridge (at least in the 1 bed room I stayed in) so bring your own.

The worst motel I have been to. Our room had stains on the floor, room had a funky musty smell and the a/c did not work and our sink was clogged. We had to brush our teeth in the bathtub. How did they fix the a/c in 90 degree heat they brought us a FAN yep to blow around the hot air as they informed Costco was closed so they could not get a new AC and the rooms were fully booked. They were supposed to fix the sink while we were out but we came back to the same thing. Worst part was in the night we realized there was bugs as well… Their policy — No Refund! After much argument we received some of our money back. We will not return to this hotel ever!

Simply the WORST accommodations in Niagara Falls. More economical than other options, but not worth the minor savings. Rooms are smelly, dirty, and dark. The sheets were not clean when we arrived and roaches roamed free. Mice feces in the bathroom. The worst part was the rude owner, who does not speak any comprehensible English and was obviously under the influence of drugs and alcohol whenever we saw him. To our horror, we witnessed him clearly under the influence of drugs berating a foreign elderly couple who had parked their car by the motel. They had arrived at his request to retrieve the car, and he physically pushed the elderly man and told him he would not be able to take his car. Never mind the parking lot was empty during low season. Avoid yourself some unnecessary trouble and avoid this motel like the plague! I would not recommend it to my worst enemy.

Would you believe it that I prefer this motel more than Sheraton or Hilton (I can afford both of these fancy hotels for one day and I stay in Olympia one day only whenever I get the chance to go to Niagara Falls). You might ask me why this motel. The first reason is the extremely pleasant and friendliness of the owners. They always make me feel that I am at home. Second, the room can be basic but clean, light and nice. Third, location! location! location! 4 min walk to the heart of where all the happenings are at. Fourth, it gives me the feeling of camping. I just open my room's door and I am outside, no hassle of receptions or elevators or other guests. Your car is parked right in front of your room. Fifth, FREE parking and outdoor swimming pool. Whenever I am on my way to Niagara Falls, I call them to reserve my always room and they know who I am and they welcome me before I even reach the city. Yes, they will know you by your name. When I go to Olympia motel, I just don't go there to reserve a room but to see and say hi to its owners as well. I just go from my home to my another home. You see something it is not about the price but about the priceless treatments of the business owners. See you soon my Niagara Falls family.

The motel is in a good location close to all the actions and the Falls. It is overall clean and I didn't find any insects/bugs when I inspected the room/bed. The inn keeper was nice and they greeted and thanked me with a smile. The room has 3 windows that can open and provided good ventilation. The water pressure in the shower was surprisingly POWERFUL, it felted more like jets from a whirlpool than a normal showerhead. The décor is very dated and basic, but is decent given the price and the location.

I honestly would not recommend staying here when you go to Niagara Falls and have a good time. One of the apartments I slept had ants, the carpet had gravels when we first entered, pillow casings were dirty and not cleaned very well. Lastly, my acne got because of those pillow casings. So thank you for having the worst service and I really hope you enjoyed getting our money from us because I sure as hell did not enjoy wasting it.

We booked 2 joinning room and a queen room with two bed and all were very clean and comfortable. The owner were very friendly and pleasant and price is resonable. The location is within walking distance from anything you would want to do. Cliffton Hill is right outside and the falls only about two blocks away. We stayed two night. We loved it so much we decided to stay another night. They cleaned the rooms every day and changed sheets when we were outside. I really would recommend the Olympia highly bto anyone wanting a quiet clean room and resonable price with very friendly and helpful staff. We enjoyed out stay and would definatly consider staying again.

Made the mistake of taking the first motel we saw at the "adjusted" price of $55. Before my wife and I had taken a look at other comparable motels. The room was big enough but was very basic. Although they have a dining room next door, they do NOT offer any type breakfast or any other meals that could see. They instead offer a voucher for a reduced cost of $4:95 plus tax for breakfast (no coffee) at a diner next door. By the time my wife and I had a basic breakfast of bacon and eggs in there, it added $20 onto that $55. Which meant that a basic room with breakfast cost us $75. I have looked at three other motels in the area and they ranged from $55 to $66 including tax AND they included hot and/or continental breakfasts, with nicer looking rooms, free parking, free Wi-Fi. Our Olympia room had a basic analogue 29" TV, No coffee machine in the room, a loud but efficient a/c. Bathroom had a leak in the bath taps and NO soap holder in the bath/shower area. (Not good when you have to put the soap down somewhere with your eyes closed. ) A loose double power socket on the wall, Wi-Fi that kept dropping out and barely reached between 2 and 3 bars of signal strength. It did have a microwave but that really has no real purpose in place of a coffee maker in the room, like just about every other motel has in their rooms. It has free parking but then so does many other motels.

I loved people from front desk they were really kind. Also the room was quite old but it was neat and clean place to stay. I would definitely stay in this motel on my next visit.
