Beautiful and spacious home, tasty breakfast and close to the historic district and wineries. Deanna and Alec were wonderful hosts and we would stay here again in the future.

Never had such a B&B.

My husband and I celebrate a milestone anniversary at the Explorer House. We had a great time. It is close to the Theaters. The wine tasting was fantastic. Thank you for a wonderful time!

My husband and I just stayed and celebrated our anniversary. The breakfast was SO good and kept us full until dinner! Very clean rooms with beautiful decor. We enjoyed the outdoors hot tub one night and I took a leisurely bath in the jacuzzi tub on night as well. Everything was immaculate. We enjoyed walking into the historic town each day for some shopping and dinner. It was a refreshing weekend and we hope we will be able to visit again.

Outstanding B&B. My wife and I loved our stay here and would definitely return. They had fantastic breakfasts that were unique each morning and offered us great tips on where to go in the area. Deanna and Alec (the owners) were truly wonderful!

We have now been to Explorer House 3 times and each time has been perfect. Awesome breakfasts, superb hosts and always a relaxing time. We will definitely be returning.

What an amazing surprise in a small quaint chateau bed and breakfast with exquisite furnishings and just an amazing breakfast. We loved our visit to Niagara on the Lake and this wonderful off the beaten path find! Thanks to Deanna and Alec for a wonderful time!

Our hosts, Deanne and Alex, were fantastic and the amenities were unbeatable! Location was perfect for getting around to the local wineries and downtown shops. Deanne and Alec provided us with great recommendations of activities and sights so see around town. Couldn't have asked for a better stay.

This is the best B&B we have ever stayed at! The spacious theme room and outdoor hot tub were matched by the gourmet three-course breakfasts. Whether it was information on wineries, restaurants or the Shaw Festival we were always provided with the best possible information. Thanks once again. We will long cherish our visit. My husband and I absolutely loved our stay at Explorer House. Our bedroom suite was squeaky clean, spacious, comfortable, and beautifully decorated. Alec and Deanna also serve a generous and absolutely delicious breakfast, fit for royalty. You will not leave the table hungry! After breakfast, Deanna will share her wealth of knowledge on the area with her guests, offering tips, tasting tickets, and maps on how to get to the area’s many attractions. We entered as strangers, but we feel we left as friends. We can’t recommend this B&B highly enough. We will be back!

Deanna and Alex are amazing hosts. The home made three-course breakfast is to-die-for. The location is perfect — within walking distance of Stratus and Big Head wineries, as well as the Garrison house and Treadwell for dinner or lunch, if you have enough room left in your stomach. The grounds are lovely — we've been twice, in the spring and fall — and both seasons are simply beautiful. We can't wait to go back. This time we will rent bikes from many of the nearby bike shops.

My fiance and I wanted a quiet, but nice weekend away before we tie the knot on September 30th. Deanna and Alec went above and beyond to make the experience top notch. For my fiance's birthday they brought out a homemade maple pecan scone with a candle in it and sang happy birthday! It was so nice. Not to mention the 3 course breakfast was amazing both days. The backyard is very private offering beautiful landscape, a hot tub, fire pit, and a place to sit and relax. We stayed in the Serengeti Suite. It had African Decor and was absolutely stunning. We had a Jacuzzi tub and a fireplace, with our own private patio. They also offered a nice lounge area with 24/7 coffee, tea, snacks, and cold drinks. If you want a relaxing weekend away, this is your spot. We are already planning our next visit to come back and stay at this B&B!

This is one of the most beautiful bed and breakfasts we have stayed in. The rooms are so well appointed and have so many thoughtful touches… from the lovely flowers on our balcony to the chocolate on our bedside table. There is a lovely common area with so many nice amenities such as a coffee maker (so appreciated in the am! ) and a fridge stocked with soft drinks and snacks. This fridge was so handy when we returned from our wine tour and needed a place to store the cheese we brought. The hosts have travelled widely and their art and stunning photography are throughout the home. The backyard is an oasis… we could have sat there for hours watching the birds and enjoying the peace. As others have mentioned the breakfasts were amazing and the table settings were works of art :) Deanna and Alec are absolutely charming and made us feel so welcome. They were so knowledgeable about the area and had so many great tips that made our stay so much better. The location was ideal! We attended the concert at Jackson Triggs Winery and were only a 10 minute walk away. There were also several restaurants within walking distance. We truly had such a relaxing few days here we are already planning our return trip!

Great place to stay, hosts are amazing! breakfast superb, and the place is immaculate, stayed 2 years in a row for vacation in Niagara on the lake, this place is close to everything, and the information packages that Alec and Deanna provide are fantastic, would recommend to anyone who like a super clean comfortable and relaxing stay!

I had never been to Niagara on the lake or stayed in a B&B before. Explorer house was amazing. Great rooms. Great house. Great breakfast. Very comfortable stay down to the tiniest of details. Would highly recommend.

This was our first experience at a B&B and it was unbelievable Deanna and Alec go above and beyond. Each morning we were fed a delicious 3 course breakfast that kept us full until supper! Our room was incredible and the grounds were fabulous. There was even a hot tub and fire pit for guests to use. We will definitely go back again and fully recommend this place.

Thank you, Deanna and Alec for another fabulous stay! Your accommodations are superb with every little detail taken into consideration! And to complete the stay, your culinary expertise for breakfast was 5 star as well! Added bonus is eating with 4 strangers that you find as interesting as the stay! You know we'll be back!
