We had an amazing time. We were able to bring our two doggies. They even had doggie bowls and a doggie bed. Ready for us. Very thoughtful. Friendly and proffessional staff. Thank you.

Very excited about our stay at the Colonel Butler Inn.

Stayed 1 night while we came to the area for a wine tour. Room was great, updated and clean, very comfy beds and pillows. Shower had great pressure which can be a toss up at a hotel. We ate breakfast at the restaurant next door which you can get vouchers for at the front desk, was a really awesome breakfast! Would definitely stay here again when we come back.

Clean contemporary rooms. Decent location to downtown. There's a sports bar beside the hotel that has affordable food and beer.

The hotel its self is fine, the breakfast is OK, but they didn't bring towels to our room. The prices are just right. I recomend best western plus more. And there are only two workers here.

Good standard of accommodation. In a convenient location for the town. Very pleasant staff. Plenty of parking. After a full day visiting Niagara it was good to have the Sports bar next door.

We went back to the Colonel Butler for the second year in a row. Service and rooms are excellent and the price is reasonable (for Niagara on the Lake). The free breakfast is very good. The location requires driving or a longish walk to the Shaw Festival, but that’s OK with us. There are two floors and no elevator, so if you have mobility issues, ask for a room on the ground floor. We were very satisfied and will go there again.

Very nice hotel, centrally located if you are in town for wine tours. Close to town, but just far enough away from town to avoid the hustle & bustle. Very friendly and helpful staff. Comfortable beds, quiet rooms. Breakfast was a little short on variety & selections, and no elevator for handicapped. Overall I would give it a A-.

Excellent! The staff was wonderful, friendly and helpful. The location of the inn was perfect for all the sightseeing, everything was nearby. There was a gas station and Tim Hortons right next to the inn and a restaurant, so everything was right there if needed. It was very quiet area, too. The room was very clean, the bed was fantastic and the bathroom was plenty roomy for two people. There was even a Keurig! I highly recommend this inn, I stayed two nights and would have been happy to stay longer.

Affordable stay in NOTL. Breakfast, Wi-Fi and parking included seals the deal. Short walk to queen St, room is nice. Good shower pressure, I find the bed slightly too soft but slept well. Service is friendly and highly recommended.

Comfortable, clean hotel that is handily placed about 15 minutes walk (or 5 minutes drive) from downtown with its shop, restaurants, parks and coffee places. Friendly and very helpful staff. Recommended.

It's nice and clean! People are very helpful and great to ask anything at all! Great place to stay! Will come again.

I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough! If you are greeted by Penny you will get the same wonderfully warm welcome that we did. Our room was newly refurbished and immaculate. Super comfortable beds with crisp cotton bedding made for an excellent night's sleep. The location is perfect for a visit to Niagara Falls — about 35 minutes drive in the most wonderful scenery. Colonel Butler provided us with incredibly good value for money and I have absolutely nothing negative to report! P's Making your own waffle in the Breakfast Room is a satisfying start to the day, too!

Lovely location. Overall a nice hotel. Certainly clean and staff were great. Rooms could have been bigger, a but cramped. Only 1 chair. Our room was 2 double beds rather than queen or king — maybe that is why room was small. Lack of elevator a pain!

The hotel had everything you needed. Very friendly and courteous reception with immediate recommendations for the City of Niagara-on-the-lake. Rooms very clean, comfortable beds and even a bathtub. The small coffee machine was also very nice. The breakfast was also delicious. All about cereal, bagels, yogurt, something warm and waffles to make yourself. The beautiful city centre was also within walking distance. For my girlfriend and me it was optimal and happy to stay again.

Decent place to stay. They seem to be updating the rooms. Have stayed here 8-10 times. The breakfast is brutal and in peak season the cost for a room may make you sick. That isn’t really the fault of the Butler. It’s all the tourists looking to sip wine, walk / drive slowly and of coarse purchase over priced soap and nick nacks. But yeah. Good enough hotel if you just need a place to sleep.

Ideal place to stay in Niagara-on-the-lake if you don't need all the amenities of a huge hotel. Staff were great and room was clean. Free Wi-Fi and on-site parking. Breakfast room had decent variety, even a waffle maker. Would stay here again.

Extremely clean hotel with great sized rooms and a great location.

Anna and the staff are top notch. Great customer service and knowledge of the area. The recommendations for dinner were great, and information on the new wineries much appreciated. This is why we return every fall.

Beds were comfy. Staff was friendly. Very clean. Coffee was good and breakfast and the restaurant were very good. My only complaint is the layout of the bathroom was very tight and a bit awkward to move around in. Internet was consistent. We enjoyed our stay.

Well situated and well appointed small hotel. Very enjoyable stay. We will definitely return next year. To this beautiful town.

Stayed here twice and can't fault it. Staff are so friendly and helpful and the rooms are lovely. Hope to be back again in the future.

The hotel has an ok location. It's close to a bike rental too. The room was spacious and clean, but we don't think it was worth $300 per night. The staff were amazing.

Great place to stay. Almond milk was provided due to my food allergies. The Red Rooster across the way was a great place fro lunch.

We have stayed at many Best Westerns in the past, but I would not return to this one. It is badly in need of a face-lift. Old furniture and torn, dirty rugs were the first indicators. They also keyed our cards for 1 night instead of 2 so we had to keep making our way back to the desk or a cleaner to gain entrance to our room. Also, the breakfast was terrible… no bacon, no sausage, no fresh eggs and very little choice of fruits. This place brags about wonderful peaches, but not one to be found at this hotel. All of these things we could have overlooked had it not been for the last problem. We left for the day and found our door opened when we returned! The cleaners did not properly shut the door or it just didn't latch properly. We were compensated at checkout for $100 off but I'm still dismayed. When you pay $200/night or more, you expect better.

Clean and comfortable. Well positioned to walk into Niagara on the lake. Easy to find. Parking plentiful. Bar next door is great for simple bar food and a beer. Staff very friendly and helpful.

A charming small hotel located in the heart of Niagara on the lake. Walking distance to several attraction. One of the only hotels in the region that allows pets. Best Western even provide a welcome gift for my dog… great touch.

Wonderfully welcoming inn, super staff, graciously appointed rooms and yummy enhanced continental breakfast. Staff went out of their way to ensure our comfort in every way.

Great option for value — conscious travelers. What they lack in frills, pomp and circumstance is well made up for in their customer service. Only complaint is the carpets need desperately to be updated.

A great stay. The upgrade was well worth it and they accepted the CAA discounts. A special Thank You to Penny who helped in a pinch. She went way beyond the call of duty. As it turns out in NOTL there are no/NO taxis. Being responsible people after a day of wine tasting, we needed a drive to the pub. Taxi was a minimum 45 minutes to wait. Upon hearing our disappointment, Penny grabbed her keys and drove us to the Irish Harp Pub. Thank you all and especially Penny. M and T from KW.

Nice and comfortable place. Very helpful, friendly staff. Ask for a ground floor room if you're someone who needs an elevator as there isn't one.
