Very friendly staff and very clean hotel! Highly recommended.

Firstly, the desk staff are so approachable and friendly and nothing is too much trouble. After our long day travelling we arrived to be greeted by Luther who was extremely helpful and welcoming as was Brian and a lovely lady the following day. Hotel room is comfortable, well equipped and immaculately clean. We would definitely stay here again and can thoroughly recommend it.

Wonderful stay, very pleasant front desk personnel, my wife loved that the TV was in another room and got to pick 2 items for continental breakfast delivered to our door @ 7 am.

The Front Desk Staff were very friendly, welcoming and helpful. The is super comfy and the room and bathroom are clean and well appointed.

A cute boutique hotel right downtown… walking distance to everything we wanted to do… and the staff were amazing!

Very nice stay. Hotel is clean and big enough and very close to everything. Location is best part. But we had to park in a garage around the corner and it was difficult to unload the luggage. Definitely loved the location.

I was wrongly charged for Smoking in the room, not only did we not smoke on the room, when asked for proof to be sent to my email, I was given a picture that does not show signs of smoking, nor burns or any form of smoking in the unit. I will gladly show the Picture sent to me upon request. I now fear that along with charging me extra for Damage, they will not give me my security deposit back as well. I have no problem going outside, and the weather in July that Day was gre…at, there is even a sign outside the Lone Elevator stating " no smoking in the units". My other issue was I made a request for a late check-out, upon arrival they tried to revoke it untill I showed the email with my Approved request, which lead to me being locked out of the room before our checkout, and the maid service still came for the original check out time rather than the later one. This shows a lack of communication between the staff from Day to Night shift.

Cute hotel. Friendly staff. We got a business queen room which was small but was perfect for our night out! Bed was too soft for our liking and the pillows were too high. Overall nice place to stay for a night!

Fabulous hotel from days gone by. Friendly staff and nice lobby. Rooms are small but love NO carpeting, comfortable beds, decent television, good size closet and no complaints about cleanliness:) Pricey but would go back… can walk to Eaton Centre and 15 min walk to Sony Centre!

We ate breakfast at Over Easy restuarant in the hotel. I had the skillet and my wife had a vegetarian omelet. Both meals were simply outstanding, very tasty, fresh and served promptly. They provided us with individual coffee carafes that kept coffee piping hot through the meal and we didn't have to wait for refills since each carafe held enough for 3 or 4 coffees. This is my favourite breakfast spot in downtown Toronto. Lunch is great here too, love the Tuna sandwich.

Ate at the Over Easy located within Hotel Victoria. It took me a minute to figure where it was hiding but once I did, I was perfectly happy with what I found. Its a cozy diner with reasonable prices and comfortable seats. The coffee was good and the service was prompt. It didn't knock me away but it didn't disappoint either. A definite recommend.

Just finished a 2 night stay at the hotel. It is in a great location, on Yonge St, 1.25 blocks north of Front St, a 10 minute or less walk from Union station if you use the airport train and really in the heart of downtown. My room was very nice, good size, good bed, work space, chair, etc. It's an old building that has been refurbed which is very quaint, a very boutique place. Wood floors in the room, squeaked a lot when walking on them would be only complaint, but the price of keeping the old look and feel of the building? Everything was quite good, would definitely stay here again, is pricey but is boutique and in the heart of downtown.

I enjoyed my time at the hotel. Nice suite even tho it was small, but cozy. Good Wi-Fi reception, friendly staff. I would stay again on my next visit to Toronto.

The location of the hotel is very central to anything you want to do in Toronto. Easy access to the Path and great eateries! Would definitely stay there again.

A normal, colorless, sad and a little gloomy hotel (like everything in downtown Toronto). No attention, no good, no bad. Only someone at reception who does not give more directions, no welcome, no suggestions. The bathroom in the room was 80cm x 80cm with a high 170cm door. Really small.

My wife and I had a very nice night at Hotel Victoria. It is a kinda small boutique type hotel nestled in on Yonge Street that I never noticed before. The rooms are small but clean and nicely decorated. There are no amenities like a pool and the lobby is tiny but the staff were very professional. It was a bit on the expensive side given the lack of in house amenities but the location was great. The hotel has no parking and the closest lot was very expensive for overnight parking.

Very impressed with this downtown hotel. Great location an easy walk from Union Station and a fantastic price for downtown TO. Room was smaller than most hotels but that wasn't a problem we weren't in TO to hang out in a hotel room. Bathroom was huge which was an odd irony. Very comfortable bed and Over Easy on site has some of the best breakfast I've had in TO.

Beautifully & well maintained, as it's such a historic place, in Toronto. Kept almost in its original, majestic state, after the notorious fire years ago. Very clean rooms. A little smaller than expected, compared to the pics shown online, but still a lovely place to stay in Toronto. Perfect location for our needs, while attending a concert, as it was only a few blocks away from our attraction. Staff was welcoming & courteous; particularly Miss King. She was extremely sweet and informative; all delivered with a smile! * I would definitely recommend staying here, anytime.

Just went to the over easy for brunch. Really great breakfast menu. Loved the cocktails and smoothies. Jets kinda crowded on a Sunday morning so had to wait a little for a table. Would definitely come back.

Everyone was nice. Room was freezing bcokd however. We turned on the heater but it took some time to warm up. Wish they had warned it up for us.

Just checked in today. Tamara at the front desk was so nice and helpful! Plus we got our room early which was amazing! They even helped me with a special request! Love it here.

Tiny rooms, small shower had no hot water had to run for 15 minutes, also when I came had problem with cable. Good mattress to sleep but lots of noise from heater! Location great! Staff great very good customer service.

Nice place, great location. Pretty good restaurant there too. No parking though, so look at the map of the area and figure out how you going to handle that prior to your arrival. There is a good municipal parking garage 10 min walk from the hotel. We liked the overall experience staying there for a few days.

I stayed in August for 4 nights at the Victoria Hotel, the hotel has a very nice location, but the rooms are dated, the floor was in linoleum and I remember feeling the bulges when I walked so it was getting unglued, dark and almost stuffy. On the other hand the staff are very kind at the reception always ready to give you a tip on where to go and what is best to do. However very disappointed by the hotel the standards in Canada are much higher for the same price I would not go back.

Clean, comfortable, quiet and quaint. Great location downtown. Stayed one night with my wife and we both really liked it.

Beautiful scenery But the building shows its age.

Stayed for 1 night. The rooms are tiny but clean and well appointed. The staff at the front desk is friendly and efficient. This is a budget boutique hotel so don't expect the amenities of a large 4 star establishment. But to sleep for a night or 2 right in the financial district you can't find a better value.

A nice hotel in the very heart of downtown. Easy access to the downtown core. The only issue would be parking which is expensive and not taken care of by the hotel.

The room was not what the website was presenting. Much smaller despite the fact that we pay for a King Deluxe room. The toilet was clogged and overflowing and instead of sending an employee to help and clean the bathroom, they gave us a toilet outlet and told us to arrange. The bathroom door is staying stuck while I was in the bathroom. Its the all took to open the door… the positives are that the bed is extremely comfortable, the wall unit for the air-conditioned/chauffage is excellent and the restaurant over and easy is excellent.

Rooms are clean. Service is nice. Rooms have Netflix which is awesome. It is located near the union metro. It is walking distance from the water front. If you are looking for a budget hotel, hotel Victoria is a great option.

Less than 10minutes walk from union station. Convince location. Friendly reception. Clean room. Nice flooring. However room was small, especially shower room was too small.

Hotel is great for downtown stay while doing show. Only problem is ice machine in basement not so great having to take 15 minutes when you want to get ice on slow elevator. Do not eat at subway beside hotel poorly trained staff and health standards are not met. We have stayed here many times. Tim hortens at hockey hall of fame 2 minutes away and 5 minutes away frans great place for breakfast.

Hotel Victoria was beautiful! Worth every penny! Great staff, almost everyone spoke English very well! Roof top bar tenders were both great guys! Room was beautiful! If we ever make it back to Italy we will stay here again!

I love love love this hotel! It's beautiful, it's in a great location and is also very clean! The rooms are gorgeous, and the entry is gorgeous as well. (Please ignore the selfie. Apparently I deleted my other pictures of the room)

Disappointing. Staff didn’t help me with the heavy luggage, the room was very old and cheaply done, floor was squeaking at each step. Roadwork in front of our window with noise all night just completed the picture! Awful experience.

The hotel was clean, the beds were comfortable, the price was very good compared to other hotels in the area this weekend. We would stay again.

Very convenient location. Boutique hotel. Clean and comfortable beds. Quiet room. Service professional and friendly. Only slight negative is one elevator.

The decor, location, cleanliness and niceness of staff are all great. However none of those outweigh the negatives (in my opinion) to ever recommend this place to anyone. We did stay in a standard queen room, if you book a double bed you might get a bigger room, but I can't state that as fact.
For a lot of money you get the following:
1. No on-site parking (40 dollars a day of you park close, 20 a day with a 10 minute walk)
2. No place to park to unload luggage and check in …in front of hotel.
3. No ramp at entrance to help roll luggage into hotel
4. One small elevator.
5. Ice machine is in basement of building.
6. The first room they put us in was so small we could barely turn around in, I have no clue who would find that acceptable for such a pricey nightly rate.
7.2nd room we got was a good 4 ft bigger but still had a tiny bathroom with a pedestal sink (does not make doing ones makeup easy)
8. Can't change input on TV to watch another device should you bring one. (not a make or break but something to mention)
9. Air conditioner in room does not get super cold.
10. No safe in room
11. Bed squeaks at the slightest of movement (try getting a restful night with that happening)
12. Floors creak so there is no getting around ninja like.

I usually go to hotel Victoria for their breakfast at their restaurant: over easy. Friendly service, and a hearty breakfast. Can't go wrong! I recommend trying their breakfast. However, it can get busy on weekend mornings so arrive a little early.

My wife and I went to Over Easy Restaurant for breakfast. The restaurant a diner look and feel, and features your typical greasy spoon breakfast options. The food was very good, and the wait staff were friendly and attentive. However, something must have gotten mixed up in the kitchen, because the wait staff had to go back and help sort out tickets, and our meal took a very long time to arrive. Tables that were seated and that placed orders after we did were served a fair bit before us. I understand that kind of thing happens, but it would have been nice had the long wait been acknowledged. 3/5 for our visit because of the long wait, but I would return. I expect that the long wait was a one-off.

The hotel was very nice. It was very close to the train. The rooms are clean and large. I would like to stay in this place again in the future, when I come back to Toronto.

We had a twin room, it was small but great bed, fantastic shower (lots of pressure). It was clean, perfect for our one night stay. They don't have parking but suggested one in a walking distance that is the cheapest in the area. I recommend the place and have already to colleagues who had to stay downtown Toronto.

Location was great, right next to Hockey HoF. Lots of great places to eat nearby. Comfy beds.

One of the best locations in Toronto, 5 minutes walk from union station and 10 minutes to Dundas square. Room service is great and rooms are ok. My complains goes only to the size of the room — only bed fits in it, and a view — room was too dark cause my window wad placed in a "chimney" like space between the buildings, but as I said quality of the service and rooms are very good.

Location was superb. 8 min walk to Air Canada Centre Room was generously sized. Bed sheets were very light, not optimal for the extreme cold. Unfortunately, our heater in our room did not work properly. It was blowing cold air all night during one of the coldest nights I've ever experienced (-11 degrees Fahrenheit). We did not contact the front desk about the heater because we did not realize it until after our sleep. The heaters in each room should be checked to see if they're working properly, especially during the middle of the winter.

I have third degree burns from the shower I'm not sure waht to do about it I can't wear skirts anymore. I think they were made worse by the cold water that immediately followed the scalding water before it went back to hot please do not stay at this hotel or if you do leave the water in the tub to cool off first and then do a spongebath.

I sat on the chair through the whole night. First I felt itch on my body after sleeping on the first room for a while. I though maybe my skin was too dry, so I went to have a shower. Even worse I found my legs got some rashes just then. I was not too worried about it, so I decided to sleep on the other half part of the bed. Then I found few bloodstain on the sheet. I called front desk hoping them to change a room for me, the guy said he can give me a sheet but I need to change sheets myself and they can't give me a new room. The guy said, how can I know if you made the blood… this was totally nonsense. I asked him to come up and showed him those stains. He changed a room for me right away, which was why I gave them 1 star. Now I find few hairs on the bed and bloodstain on the sheet again… I am sitting on the chair and typing this command. It is 4:45 a. M. I have to say this is a nice historical hotel, I like the design of the room and it has Reasonable price. However, having a clean bed is the most important thing!

I love this hotel! It's cheap, has a modern design in the rooms, and is very nice/well kept. Staff is extremely helpful and friendly. The location is probably the best hotel you can get in downtown Toronto. Right around the corner is the subway station, only one station away from Union station (walking distance too). You can get anywhere in the city quickly, most stuff downtown is in walking distance as well. Surprisingly despite being on Younge street it's quiet at night, we had no problems falling asleep on the comfy beds. We will be back.

The room is small, but it's clean and cozy. Close to all the tourist attactions with a reasonable price.

My stay was very nice and I will stay here again. The Irish Pub across the street is a good spot for a nightcap.

Booked a room for 2 nights. Service was awesome, employees very polite and helpful and prices were great for being downtown.

About a week after staying at the Hotel Victoria, I was shocked to find that my identity and credit card had been stolen including my name, address, phone number, credit card number, and god knows what else. I am positive that it was stolen from this transaction at the Hotel Victoria, as this was the only transaction used with this card in which my personal information had been given with my credit card information. I assume that it was an employee, unless the Hotel Victoria has had a theft of all of it's on file credit card information and personal information that it has not informed guests about. I stayed last month at the end of September, 2014.

The rooms are clean and pretty. A little small but it is well located.

We stayed at Hotel Victoria b/c it is very conveniently located close to my work and we wanted to have a night on the town for my birthday (we commute into T. O. Each day). I was a bit hesitant to book b/c of a couple of negative reviews but I can honestly say that I thought the hotel was super cute and I will definitely stay here again. The negative reviews I have seen primarily discuss small hotel rooms. Well, I rented the smallest and it was perfect for my husband and I. It was bigger than I thought it would be but probably not great for more than 2 people. It was very clean and I liked how it was decorated as well. The bed was killer; I think I slept better here than at home.

Don't be fooled into thinking you can check in early! This is a very boutiquey hotel, and with the luxury and surprisingly low price point behind it, no one is leaving early! The rooms are darling and the service is impeccable. I checked in early and could not get access to my room, but had my luggage waiting for me in my room when I returned. The new renovation made this THE place to stay in Downtown Toronto.

Very welcoming (happens a 2 am) warm place, the room very comfy and clean, the hotel is accessible, and at the heart of the downtown's kelkes minutes (subway, pharmacy, restaurant, clubs, etc) the hotel has also its own restaurant for lunch and dinner, nice deco, good quantity/price bcp like our experience.
