Motel needs some work but not to bad but they should have a room to have breakfast for the people that stay there. Because for what you pay for one night a person can get another motel for the same price at a motel where they have a breakfast free with your room.

Awesome receptionist who was very helpful, rooms are very cheap and clean.

Needed a dog friendly place to rest our heads while at a lure coursing trial and found Berry's Motel at a much better price than others in the same area and booked it online. I liked that they didn't charge a fee for having our dog. Saw pictures of the place online but sometimes you can't really tell by pictures, and with the low price, had a "well, you get what you pay for, it's only for 1 night" thought in our head when we went to check in. We were very pleasantly surprised. Check in was super quick and easy, owner was very friendly and gave us all the info we needed (where to find the free coffee and ice) and the room was very comfortable and clean. The bed was also comfortable and we had a great night's sleep. It was the perfect spot to suit our needs for our overnight stay. After being in the car all day it was nice that it was also close to everything else (restaurants, grocery store etc) that we could walk instead of driving again to go for supper. I would certainly stay there again if need be!

Arrived without a reservation and was lucky to get a room. Staff was friendly and helpful. Not as nice as a hotel but I didn't need any extra amenities while passing through. Bed, shower, Wi-Fi, all you need.

Good room at a good price. Not ultra modern; but clean and comfortable. The rooms are in need of a little TLC.

Yes we really injoy are 1 night lam so happy that we had are dog with us. Very clean and very nice people.

The bath tub was dirty told the man that work out at the from desk wouldn't do anything about it he said it wouldnt come off but it would had dirty place and very rude people work the office the man anyway then he told me I was out to lunch causei said it was dirty how rude this is my third time here and my last he isnt friendly either if is the only hotel open I wouldn't go back rather sleep in the car first before I even step foot in it again.

No hassle budget friendly, pet friendly option that doesn't charge you for your pets! Truly "pet friendly". Beds were comfy, room was clean and updated, lovely stay!

The bed was hard as a rock. Litteraly almost no cushion. Mini fridge wasn't very clean and the shower had terrible pressure with the majority of the water pouring our the bottom spout. Otherwise the room was relatively clean and seemed nice but cheapely renovated.

February 27, 2016, our son crossed the Golf from Newfoundland to Nova Scotia, stopping at the Berry's Motel for a night. My wife and I on his behalf, telephoned the Berry's Motel to book a room for our son. The male clerk at the front desk we assume, told my wife and I that they do not rent rooms to individuals under the age of 25 years of age. Age discrimination? Indeed. We were going to pay via credit card and then he said they do not accept credit cards via telephone. Which, caused me to ponder, how does a major convention reserve a Motel room? Via credit card via telephone. That being said, I did proceeded to ask him as to what my son is to do, stay outdoors all night? Very rudely he said, there are other places to stay and abruptly hung up. We tried to find an e-mail to voice our displeasure to management, unfortunately, we were unsuccessful. I would rather voice my concerns directly to the Motel management, unfortunately this is the only possible means that I have. A response would be appreciated. Thanks Craig Sheppard.

Room was cleaned and the rate was good.

We have been staying here once a year for a yearly function within Truro. Check in was OK but Sandra is NOT a people person. She is not suited to be dealing with the general public. Grumpy not much to say. You have to ask questions you get yes no thats it. There was a dog running around my feet while checking in. I have allergies to cats and dogs so I was NOT impressed. Our room this year was great, clean, fresh towels and everything seem ed to be in its place. They are doing reno's, Manager Gary seems to be friendly enough says good morning and will speak to you my friend asked for an ash tray and he was very promt to get her one. I wasn't impressed with check out, I went into the office and all I could smell was stale cigarette smoke. For a non-smoking establishment this was certianly not pleasant. The Staff should NOT be able to smoke in the office. This motel was a good spot for the conviences and money. I would recommend room and will return. Happy Travels.

I stopped at this motel one morning to get off the highway during a snowstorm. It was almost 8. A. M. And was relieved to see someone behind the desk. She gave me the "do not bother me look". I requested a room for a few hours and was willing to pay full price and explained that the roads were too treacherous to drive on. She said that she was not open yet and to try the hotel next door. (Which, by the way, could not do enough for us. The hospitality at the Comfort Inn was second to none! ) The rating does not reflect my input, it comes up 5 stars, no matter what I entered.
