I was harassed on my wedding day!
A few months before my wedding I called Seely’s Motel to inquire about discount prices for my quests. The lady over the phone gladly took my info and said that she would reserve 10 rooms free of charge for my guests and they would get a great discount if they reserved by September 12th (a month before my wedding), after this date these rooms would be fair game for anyone that wants to book. It seemed simple enough!
Fast forward to my wedding day, I get a call from a angry middle eastern man yelling on the phone in a very disrespectful way stating that I am responsible for all the rooms that had not been booked by my guests. He stated that I was a terrible customer and what I did what unfair and rude? He continued screaming over the phone repeating himself over and over again. When I asked him to please stop yelling, and that he was being very upsetting on my wedding day, he stating he didn’t care! He said I would get a hefty charge on my credit card… which I never gave my credit card info.
do yourself a favour and pay the extra few dollars and book Shediac Hotel.

Seely's needs to clean up the mould in the rooms and in the air conditioners. Clean the rooms properly, including the jets in the jet tub. Make sure the jets are working properly, or offer a discount. Regularly maintain the air conditoner filters. Our rooms were filthy, and our pjamas smelled like mould after staying here one night. There was no one at the front desk when we arrived and had to wait 30 min before someone got there. The sofa bed should at least have clean sheets and a thin blanket on it before guests arrive. Guests should NOT have to make their own sofa bed. Electrical circuits for the entrance light must be separate from the night table lamps and outlets. Do not install industrial gas station style soap and toilet paper dispensers, or at the very least make sure they have soap in them. This place was too expensive for what you get.

The room, stunk horribly, the bedside lamp did not work.
The bedding looked clean but was wrinkled.
The floor was not clean.
I have had way better for $135 and would equate this motel to be in the $60/ night range.

This place is under new ownership, I have stayed before and it was average, but since new owners hve taken over it seems way nicer, pool is now open! Way better breakfast and clean clean rooms. And Wi-Fi is crazy fast. Will be back next month!

Under new management! Very clean and comfortable room/bed. We were late for continent breakfast. They actually kept it open for us. Thank you for an enjoyable stay. Definitely will be back.

Not happy. Stayed one night. Had to ask for towels, no shampoo or handsoap. Room dark and dingy. Owner pleasant enough.

Enjoyed our stay and chatting with the new owners. Centrally located and close to everything. Granddaughter enjoyed the indoor pool. Would not hesitate about booking my next visit to Shediac here.

Room was ok. A little dated but reasonably clean. Wi-Fi speed respectable. Fridge and microwave in my room. Skipped the continental breakfast for a proper restaurant nearby. Location is near main part of town and close to Parlee Beach.

I swim there and they have a large pool but the place itself is not so well cared of. They give redcross swimming classes and the pool is open publicly.

The price was supposed to be cheap at 80 a night came in well over $100. There is no breakfast no heat the staff were very not helpful nor caring that we wanted the free breakfast. Beds are hard and uncomfortable. It's not the worst place but definitely better motels or hotels or honestly better camping accommodations then this. Slipped fell on ice over all instantly regreted it. Management doesn't care that they advertise many things only to have nothing not even a simple coffee.

I have seen barn stalls better shape then this place! I’m not sure who is giving good reviews? Nights of hell This place is dirty! No ones made the beds 2 nights in a row and floor is dirty. Shower sucks, I can’t believe are company put us here, Im guessing they didn’t know! We’re is the health inspector.

Cozy friendly stay. Breakfasts was good.

Cozy little motel that is very clean. There is a pool on site but the beach isn't far from the motel. There is a free breakfast every morning that offers a variety of items. The staff here are friendly and helpful. The motel is located fairly close to the town center and has several restaurant choices within walking distance.

Smelly rooms, no windows to open, curtains cant be closed, flies around, old smelly soft beds. Not comfortable at all. Really dissapointed…

This is a very nice place to hang out, friendly staff and the room was very nice. The jacuzzi was great.

Booked a reservation for this Motel online for this evening and, we were turned away upon checking in because when we were asked if we were going to Captain Dan's we said yes. The receptionist then told us we could stay if we had a $500 cash deposit prior to staying in the room. Had I have known that I would be not allowed to stay here because of where I'm going I would have booked somewhere else. Word of advice Seely's post these things on your online site.

Location was great and close to restaurants, shopping and highway the room was clean, the price was reasonable. Furniture could have been arranged differently if you like to watch TV in bed. If this review had half points I would give it 3.5…

I go there for red cross swimming lessons with the kids. The pool area is ok, changing rooms are in need of renovations. Swim coach is great.

This place has an indoor pool but no hot tub. There was a wirlpool tub in my room but I don't like using those because I'm scared of mold in the pipes that you can't see if they are clean. It was close to all your fast food chains it was pet friendly and it was clean had mirowave and fridge.

Went yesterday for a room around 3 AM and even with an open sign at the office no one came to answer.

Good place. The service is good. I find the walls a little thin. You can hear the noise from the other rooms above and to the sides.

This being our third year, we had a wonderful time again this year and a big part of this being you and your staff. We all have the same feeling that we are well received, accomadated and just plain feelings of like home. From myself and all the group that were there this weekend we would like to say a special thank you to all, for all you did and for all you do to make us feel welcome. Everything is just right. We had 5 new individuals join us from the United States this year and they just couldn't believe how well treated we were and how lucky that we have found this place. Again, and make sure to let all your staff know that we thank every one from the bottom of our hearts and looking forward to our next reunion in April 2011. We will keep in touch. Love you all. THE BEST! We had a wonderful and relaxing stay here. The indoor pool was great for the evenings and rainy days, the kids loved it and so did I. (very big) The free breakfast was nice and had a good selection. We even brought along the XBOX as we were told all their TV's were game port ready, which they were! Rooms had just been newly refurnished and looked great. We had a kitchenette that was perfect for our family however taking a look at the regular rooms it appeared that this could have met our needs as well because of the refidgerator and microwaves in all the rooms. Our room even had a whirlpool bath that I enjoyed after everyone was in bed for the night. My husband (who's hard to please) wants to return this year. Having booked our room already for this year I understand they are adding a sundeck and BBQ pits for there customers. Can't wait to enjoy the beach and another relaxing stay here. I highly recommend.
