Very nice place friendly staff comfortable rooms.

Very very bad experience! Swimming pool closed, no notice about that before arrival. No bath plug, asked for one, said they don’t have! Forgot our pillows, phoned 30min after leaving and asked to keep them for us until we get back from Sun Peaks, then they threw it away! Disgusting service! And front speak can barely speak english!

The free breakfast was delicious. We were grateful they allowed our pup to stay. Room was clean. Centrally located. Would of given a 3 star because of some building maintenance. But with all The plus’s I mentioned above it’s a 4 star. :0)

Nice place. Family of 4. Our room had a nice bathroom and one big king size bed in one room and just around the corner another room with another king size bed. It had a TV and everything a hotel room needed. The breakfast was good, a little simple but still nice. Overall the whole stay was good. However, our room was a little close to the road and the railway so it was a little noisy.

Loved it every time we go! Kids love it to! Central. Clean. Friendly. Professional. Gym, pool, hot tub, hot breakfast, huge games room, standard rooms, no frill. No free parking though and it's usually booked right up. ***EDIT: the following week, my husband stayed one night in a king room and found BED BUGS! The hotel didn't refund him when he showed them photos and proof. How disappointing.

Nice facilities. The rooms are clean and the staff super friendly. The swimming pool and the game/recreation room is a hit if you travel with kids. The continental breakfast is simple but good. The hotel is located downtown and close to stores and restaurants (walking distance). Definitely a place to stay.

Nice facility with great common areas. Unfortunately maids were too loud too early in the morning, and the service in their brew pub (1 hr wait with kids for food and no real explanation from server or manager) was very off-putting. Shop around for prices… I think I paid too much by booking directly through the Thompson website.

Good place to relax. Our room had a good view of the mountains. Conveniently located near many restaurants n stores.

Clean, bright and helpful staff. Great spot downtown near all the shopping. Great pool & games room. Room was updated and clean. NO microwave but still nice.

I was moving from Van to Calgary. Checked in 2 nights at one of their higher level rooms. Popped down in the morning of check out for a coffee from lobby. I was accosted by a young, pimple faced East Indian over taking a free coffee?! Like I was a homeless hooker or something. Sorry this isn't misogynist India. Furthermore I was booked in 2 days… the manager didn't seem to take my concerns of discrimination very serious either. Rudest service all across Canada at this place.

Location was great for downtown access. The hotel backs onto the main train line which you can hear, and the parking lot is not as safe as it is open to public and smack in the middle of downtown. Hotel did have good breakfast and games room was fun!

I have got to commend Rocky on reception for being understanding and getting us an early check in when our train got delayed and we switched to an early morning bus. All the reception staff are bubbly and friendly which is nice after a long bus ride. The pool and hot tub are luxurious for a nice soak. The breakfast is tasty with two waffle machines, fresh fruit and coffee.

Great staff members. Warming. Welcoming environment. Close to beach. Great location. Would stay here again no questions.

Clean, decently priced hotel for a room. Staff is always helpful and pleasant. Good place to stay for sports teams, large groups or just passing through.

Beautiful hotel in a prime location. Don't let the exterior of the building fool you, it is beautiful inside! Rooms are up to date (and kept that way) and the staff is friendly. There is a pool, as well as a pool table. They are also connected to The Noble Pig, which is an amazing brewery! Highly recommend this location if you're passing through, looking to get a night away, in town for an event, or any other occasion!

The Thompson hotel is a great stay for overnight guests. With big rooms (some with great views of the mountains), a large indoor pool and hottub, a games room with foosball, pool tables, air hockey and TVs, and a neighbouring restaurant and bar, we were quite entertained during our stay.

Really nice hotel, and very accessible. The Kamloops curling rink, a Tim Hortons and a London drugs were very close to the hotel. There were also a number of very good restaurants within walking distance. Biggest complaint was the train tracks behind the hotel would make the entire building shake which was kind of concerning but didn't prevent sleep. Staff were really nice and friendly.

Location good near to grocery/retail outlet. Near to eating places The Noble Pig and Frick And Frack Room had drink making facilities and was very confortable Staff was very feiendly and helpful.

Staff was super helpful, pool was fun, breakfast was simple but good. Great for an overnight stop. Shoutout to Conrad (forgive the spelling) who definitely made the experience.

Good hotel close to a good pub restaurant with a big patio. Rooms are a little dated and breakfast dosent start until 7 am. For some this may work ok but if you are in town working you will need to find somewhere else to eat in the morning. Gym is ok but no weights. Overall big pool and large games room.

Probably the best hotel we have stayed at as a family. Nice pool, and games area. Friendly staff, amazing suites. Great kitchenette. Very affordable. We will always use this hotel when we are in kamloops.

Includes breakfast which is nice plus. Rooms have AC, doesn't seem to get very loud at night. Beds are surprisingly comfortable, not too soft like most hotels.

Sachin is the best customer service I have ever received in my entire life. He made sure I had a beautiful clean room to stay in and it was very reasonably priced for such a nice room. Also he made sure at 2am that I had food and literally gave me the best customer service I have ever received anywhere in my entire life (restaurants, other hotels, theaters etc…) I'm not kidding. If anyone ever needs a hotel in Kamloops I highly recommend this one. And talk to Sachin he will make sure you get every amenitie you require and he will even go to your room (without asking) to make sure it's up to par. Excellent service, very nice rooms and Sanchin is an amazing front desk worker and all around great guy I am very imotessed. He should be the manager im so impressed. I have stayed in hotels across the world basically and no one has ever made me feel this at home and welcome Ina hotel. So thank you Sanchin and the people who run this hotel I had an amazing stay :) I'll definitely be back.

The location is kind of shady at night, the roomd are comfortable and the bathroom is very nice. The breakfast provided was very adequate as well.

Staff were very friendly. Room was very clean but dated looking. Nice pool and decent hot breakfast. Location was ok. There's a lot of loiterers smoking near the entrance or just around the corner towards the parking area.

Checked in on a Friday. Went for dinner and when we got back, the hotel has no power! No explanation was given or offered, just a flashlight to help us to our dark room, and we were told they needed it back. The power came on in the middle of the night, with the lights and TV in our room… The breakfast room opened ten minutes late, and we had to fight with an entire soccer team to get food. Later that day, Saturday, around 3pm, we came back to the room, and we were pleased to see it was made up nicely, but then found no towels, hand towels or even face cloths for our family of four. We phoned to get some and an employee brought us two towels, even though I was clear on the phone about what we needed. Frustrated, but without any options in Kamloops on May long weekend, we went for dinner with friends. Upon returning, neither of our two key cards worked in the door! One more messed up thing on a horrible weekend stay at a hotel that I thought had a good reputation. I will never stay here again! And I would never recommend it to anyone!

The room I stayed in was a newly renovated king room. This is an old building on the outside with new renos on the inside. Bed was comfy pillow top. Pool/hot tub is your average small hotel pool. There is a unique lounge and games room off the pool and lobby; billiards table, basket ball hoop game, air hockey table, vending machine… cool place to hang out! The downtown location is very convenient and the hotel is attached to the Noble Pig Brewhouse… the BEST restaurant in Kamloops; I go there every time I'm in town. The Pig makes all their own craft beer on site, and the food never disappoints! One side is pub, the other side is family dining including the outside patio in the summer! I gave the Thompson 4 out of 5 stars only because it wouldn't let me do 4.5!

Had a lovely stay! All the staff are so welcoming and friendly, the hotel and rooms are very clean.

Bathroom was stinky when I got to my room, someone definitely recently deuced in there.

I booked this hotel not knowing what to expect. The pictures looked great but don't be fooled. The rooms are unclean and they really new furniture. The furniture had stains and chips. The worst part of this whole thing was that the hotel smelled like urine. It was almost like they had a human waste problem and they cant fix it. I proceeded to tell the front desk about the issue and they tried to make me look stupid in front of another person. This hotel is not suited to have people stay in it and is not worth the time and money. All is well in the end, my family and I went to the Sandman Signature down the street.

The location is great, but the hotel rooms need a serious reno, not just a facelift. The bathrooms are old, and the shower felt dirty. A simple thing like a curved shower curtain rod would be a huge improvement. The noise level in the halls is horrible, and the doors slam very loudly. That woke me several times throughout the night. The service is good, and the people are nice, however the value for your money is horrible. This is more of a $89/night hotel. Not the $149 I paid. I travel to Kamloops 1-2 times/month. I won't be staying here again.
