Character, history and comfort. At a loss for words but I know the Sheriff’s Office, the room I’m sleeping in, is very comfortable.

We were enamoured with this hotel from the moment we entered. Adorned with wonderful antiques, a warm and inviting ambiance. We were a late arrival, and had already received a message with information regarding our room. Lots of history at the hotel and in the surrounding area. A very clean and inviting place. Would definitely stay again. Just unfortunate that the restaurant wasn’t open when we were there, but found other amenities.

I go for breakfast every Saturday. It is the best! Kendra is funny and a spark of joy and the owners are really lovely humans too. I feel very lucky to have found it.

The Old Courthouse Inn is amazing! The interior is beautifully decorated with antiques from the 20's and 30's and this creates a special atmosphere. The Inn has a small restaurant that is open for breakfast and lunch. We had the Salmon benny and it was absolutely delicious! Above all, we appreciated the hospitality of JP who was really kind to us and let us store our stuff before we headed out on a hike on the Sunshine Coast Trail. Really cool place! Would definitely go back and stay there.

Had a great stay but you have to be open to staying next to a pulp mill. The location otherwise has everything I needed brewery, theatre, Indian and Greek food all in walking distance. And access to an incredible back country of hiking, biking and swimming.

Loved it here. Room was quiet and cozy. Staff were over the top helpful! Everyone was eager to find or do what ever was needed!

Wow what a great Hotel. So many wonderful photos, beautiful antique furniture, very comfortable bed, very clean and even better stories. Our host JP was amazing and kind! Great location in Historic Townsite in Powell River. We will be back again and again. I highly recommend staying here for anyone!

Amazing place. Decorated as a period place. Originally the town Courthouse. This a beautiful, well-kept, historic building that has retained much of the majestry from the period. Turn of the century interior decorations. Very cozy. JP, the owner, is extremely accommodating and welcoming. Very comfortable rooms and soft beds. Seagulls and crashing waves wake you in the morning. There is a nice, covered back porch with plenty of seating. Eddie Rae's, a wonderful bar and restaurant is located on the first floor. We had breakfast, Eggs Benedict. Amazing. Prepared perfectly on a biscuit. This place is highly highly recommended.

This was a boutique Inn with unique furnishings, very attentive ownership, and a dedication to the art of hospitality. Although the location is a bit out of the way, it is situated by a wonderful microbrewery and and East Indian restaurant that made some of the finest food in that tradition that I have tested in years. Your stay includes a full breakfast cooked to order. Saturday's are a bit slower service in the cafe so allow time for it. Each room is unique with a private bath — my only regret from my stay is not asking for a room with a tub when I booked. Say hi to JP — the owner with a flair for excellence! He makes the job look easy.

Breakfast too at least 2 hours & when it finally came there was a hair in mine. Super cute place though.

In Powell River, don't stay in a boring hotel, you can find those anywhere.   The Old Court House Inn is quaint, eclectic and very enjoyable.   The personal greetings from the owners JP and Kelly and the friendly and proffessional staff is very welcoming. Each room is uniquely decorated.   The Edie Rae's Cafe serves a very good breakfast.    We will be back to stay here.

This inn was the original courthouse in Powell River. It is beautifully decorated with antiques and collectables. The restaurant was closed but I was told they have the best breakfast. The inn keepers were friendly and fun to hang out with.

Lovely place with lots of history, however the bed and pillows were hard as rocks and nearly impossible to sleep on comfortably.

We spent a lovely night at the Old Courthouse Inn prior to beginning our hike on the Sunshine Coast Trail. JP was an excellent host and even allowed us to leave our car in their parking lot while we were on the trail. Our room was small but decorated nicely and was warm and cozy. The free breakfast was also a great way to start off our hiking adventure!

This place was a max 4 star because of its location behind the Pulp and Paper Mill. The place loses another star for being dirty. The carpets were filthy and there was hair all over the sofa. They have some neat things in the lobby and downstairs but the furniture & decor doesn't totally hit the mark. For example some of the furniture was broken and not in that charming age-old way. The place lost one more star for that. Comfortable beds & unique but not upscale.

We had just a fabulous stay in this quaint historic Inn last month. The owners are so hospitable and the entire Inn was well maintained, beautifully displayed with antiques and our room incredibly quiet. Included with the cost of our room, was this amazing breakfast, located in the Inn, where we chatted with the very friendly locals, it was a real treat. I would absolutely recommend this wonderful find!

Had a lovely stay. The owners JP and Kelly were very helpful and hospitable, and their passion for this place shines through in all the little details and personal touches. Highly recommend if you're looking for great service, darling decor and a location right in the heart of the townsite. Overall, terrific experience.

I loved it from the moment I walked in, it was like walking back in time with antiques everywhere, set up so beautifully like a museum. My room was perfect with a patch work blanket to tie into that "old feeling" of days gone by. Where else can you get eggs Benedict included in your rate that is to die for. Looking forward to going back in September.

I visited Edie Rae's Cafe for breakfast for the first time this past weekend, and LOVED IT! The food is excellent (lots of options for gluten-free, vegetarian, etc) and reasonably-priced, the cafe is immaculately clean, and the service is excellent. And all in a place that exudes atmosphere. Wonderful! My husband and brothers were impressed with the portion-sizes. We'll be back again.
