Enjoyed a few hours at the River Rock casino. The casino was clean and well maintained. Staff at the casino were friendly and helpful. Customer service desk was prompt. Ate lunch at the newly renovated food court, it was delicious and fast. Not many choices but all of them look good.

Rooms were very clean and spacious. The bed was comfortable too. Except the pull out sofa bed. The mattress on that was awful and they didn't have an extra blanket for you to use so I was freezing during the night. Good thing their towels are soft and thick. Ended up using one in addition to the measly thin blanket that was the. That would be my only complaint though. The pool was big and actually had a slide! They provide free parking if a bit far away but free is free. And it's really close to the Richmond night market! Great experience will prob stay again if ever in the area. Though I prob won't sleep on the sofa bed again.

Nice hotel. We got upgraded room because of a small mistake. Professional. Really friendly and nice service. Staff was attentive and helpful. Room was clean and lovely. Suite maintained well and felt very comfortable. Of course the casino is right there. Very fun and won bit of money also maybe because our lucky room number after we were changed for the upgrade 哈哈. I would stay here again and recommend my friends and family to try it out. Actually much better than our downtown experience last year when my car was broken into in our hotel parking lot. Parking service is safe and secure here and location is great for Richmond dining and nightlife fun. Didn't try buffet because we had so much other options to eat but nice service as bonus for hotel stay.

The experience wasn't amazing but had no real pitfalls either. We went for lunch and a little bit of time on the slots. The pizza was fresh and moderately priced given the size and the environment. Staff doesn't seem to talk to anyone short of the person who scanned my ID. Even when cashing out the staff said absolutely nothing to me. I definitely prefer Cascades in Langley to this one. Three stars but added a fourth due to some fantastic beginners luck.

It's the River Rock, haha. If you're looking to launder money, this the place to be! Its a whole resort village that features multiple eateries, a casino, a hotel, and multiple event areas. Everything is well furnished and taken care of, especially for a place as busy as this. Its quite busy at all times of day, and pushing through throngs of people can become annoying. The decor has a definite northwest coast hearty log cabin feel, yet it's still relatively modern. The staff are a bit older, but friendly and comforting. It's pretty cut and dry, so not much more to it.

The casino is fine. We were enjoying the Buffet and it was great food but lineup was crazy long and they raise the price from $34 to $50 for nothing special on mothers day. Food was good but nothing worth the extra $16…

We had dinner and drinks at the Curve lounge. We sat outside. It was so relaxed and gorgeous. The planes fly low overhead which we found exciting. My 11 mo son loved it. He also loved the grass he could play in beside our table. Excellent food!

Got a great last minute deal on a lovely 1BR suite with a view of the marina. The room waa spacious and comfortable. The hotel restaurant had good food as well and was open late. The only downside is that the self-parking is far and you have to walk through all the smokers outside. At least the hotel and casino are non-smoking.

I only went for the gambling but it was very clean, the staff were very pleasant and they had a huge variety of tables and up to date slot machines. They pretty much have everything inside here including its own cinema, buffet, hotel and spa services. It's also a quick train ride from the airport (or 1 hour walk which is quite scenic at sunrise).

Beautiful hotel, the only thing is that it is very far from Downtown Vancouver.

Went for the Lego convention. It was quite busy with many interesting exhibits. Parking was straightforward and cheap ($2.50 for 24 hours). I've hosted large charity events here in the past with great success. Would recommend the venue.

The River Rock is a great hotel and event venue. I have stayed there several times and the hotel rooms have always been clean and comfortable with great service. The food selection has had it's ups and downs over the years. The main bar, Curve, is good for drinks, but the food selection and quality has declined quite a bit and I did not enjoy eating there on my last visit. The food court has recently been revamped and although the food quality has improved, it is no longer 24 hour, which is very disappointing at a venue with all night activities (theater events, casino, etc. ).

My review only covers the gambling as I've yet to stay there being a local. That being said, the assortment of slots and card games makes it a fun place for a night of entertainment. Everyone is friendly, they have drink specials and happy hour, and although the winning seems to be few and far between, that is the case with all casinos these days. I play video roulette with 1$ minimum bets playing mostly red or blacks. Access to the casino is easy and parking is plentiful. It is also a beautiful building inside.

I came to River Rock Casino to launder my money. It's not easy to turn illicit cash into clean, crisp, legal dollars. But let me tell you, River Rock is the place to do it. From the moment I walked in with a duffel bag full of twenty dollar bills, the staff was beyond helpful. They directed me to a private room where a dedicated staff helped me count my drug money. Once this was done, my VIP attendant quickly converted it all into chips. After a few hands of blackjack (I hit on 18! ) I cashed out all my newly legal bills. Throughout the staff was helpful and professional. I'll definitely be returning to the River Rock for all my future laundering needs.

Very nice rooms and excellent location near the airport and skytrain. Would get 5 stars if the lounge didn't close early and stop serving before they are even closed, aka 9:30pm. Casino is hopping and serves late though. Nice to have Starbucks in the lobby.

Fun date night. We aren't much of gamblers but went with a $20 budget each and came out with $187 to spend at cactus. Good vibes and tons of parking but a bit far from entrance. It was raining so I got soaked in the walk over. Still a good night though.

Very good installments. Skytrain stop at the door. 20m distance from Centro Fe Vancouver. Indoor pool and gym.

Very clean. Comfortable bed. Some issues with the lights in the bathroom. Not the kind of place you want to stay if you are looking for a quiet get away. Pretty loud and noisy all night long but it it is a casino afterall. We enjoyed and would stay again.

Best casino in the lower mainland. Nice selection of table games and slot machines. Decent food court options but lacking. Runway buffet is mediocre at best.

Super polite staff. Clean and good price for room sizes and amenities. Allows dogs. Family friendly. Starbucks in building if you want something early for low cost.

The hotel is quite lovely aesthetically, the kids loved the pool and it had a great breakfast. However, the room was very noisy and, MOST importantly, I left with BED BUG BITES. The hotel did not seem surprised and did not seem to care when I phoned in. They simply said that they’d tell housekeeping. Very concerning. They did not tell me how the room would be cleared or make me feel as though they took it seriously at all. I will avoid this hotel in the future.

Enjoyable Casino and Hotel. Casino boasts a variety of table games and large slot areas. Poker Room exists but is across the road and is only limited to 4 tables (and currently closes at 2am). Hotel is good, could use with an update. They do have a hotel spa which seems to have a good reputation, however I have never been. The hotel also has a lovely fine-dining Italian restaurant (Tramonto). We’ve been several times and have a great experience there every time.

Room was great as usual. Bed and pillows were comfortable. Clean and we got the upgrade for a marina view. Pool was not as great as before. During family day, there were lots of guests that we did not have any seats. They removed the most of the benches and seats. I believe there were only 3 or 4 benches left and 4 chairs. Breakfast buffet was as great as it used to be. Selections were limited. Presentation of the food were not pleasing anymore.

I went to the River Rock buffet, which is always a good experience. The food isn't the best, but it's damn good for a buffet. Service is fantastic, always willing to help. There's never a moment with an empty glass. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants a lot of food for a pretty good price.

Not a guest, I was only there for a 3 day work conference. The catering was varied and fantastic, suiting the wide dietary needs of our group and the staff slipped in and out of the room to set up so silently we did not even notice them. The bathrooms were well maintained and the floor staff in the main hall were quick to open doors for us. Overall great location to have the conference.

The buffet was super delicious. I ate a plate of king crab legs the size of my head! So many farts later. The wait staff was very prompt and courteous. Timely refills of my coffee kept me happy. Unlimited won ton. Hip hop hooray.

Visited the Casino as usual and wanted to enjoy a relaxing evening. I had misplaced my players card once again… headed to the guest service and perhaps due to the odd hour I was able to be there, the staff lineup behind the counter was different than the usual I see or recognize. The guest service provider was getting my new card printed out as per usual but I could clearly tell that he would rather have a conversation through me to the other staff who was behind me while at the counter. I know I am a young looking and was quite casually dressed for the night, but having visited enough times to enjoy my free time away from work and have earned nearly 250, 000 players points this year alone not inclusive of the 50 percent of the times I don't use the players card, I would think that in a position where you are supposed to serve their guests, especially while logged on to the player profile to know if the guest is a higher spending player, I would try my best to even pretend to care about the service being provided one guest at a time. Disappointing to say the least and after a short stay I left without much enjoyment. The renovations have not helped in having the staff concentrate on their tasks at hand either. It seems that the level of service is being retained by their original staff who have been there for more than 2 years but have slowly started to decline as new hires are not reaching even the lower standards I expect.

All staff were exceptionally polite and helpful, check-in was lined up as the hotel was busy upon arrival. The common areas of the hotel were well kept and appeared updated. The room (a suite on the 8th floor) had a view of the river and marina, however the room and furniture definitely showed it's age. The grout in the shower and tub had mildew stains but appeared clean. The bedroom had only one small vent so the thermostat had minimal effect. Couch squeaked when sat on and was not very comfortable, carpet was showing wear along the seams, overall for the price paid the room did not live up to expectations of a luxury hotel.

Great buffet with a wide array of food and desserts. We were there for a work Christmas party and rented a private room. It was great to be able to grab food whenever we wanted. The only thing was that it took a really long time to receive and get refills on alcoholic beverages.

Best meal I've had in a while! And I've had a few really good ones. Staff were super friendly and helpful. Great atmosphere. Hopefully will be even better after the planned renovations coming up Dec — March.

Overall it was a great visit! The main reason we stayed was for our son to play on the water slide in the pool, which he absolutely loved. Room furniture was a little worn, but besides that, the stay was enjoyable.

Steven… awesome waiter, great sense of humor. We had steak & garlic prawns — an amazing dinner. Atmosphere was quiet, great views of the river and marina.

The employees were courteous and greeted us in such a friendly manner. Not expecting anything in return. They were always ready to answer any questions we had and were definitely going the extra mile. Not only is there a spa there but there is also a restaurant there with amazing food fit for royalty. Will definitely go back.

Decent hotel with decent rooms and a direct connection to the sky train. The rooms are dark and the walls covered in wallpaper making them a bit dated. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom very nice and clean. Location is great and they offer free parking which is great if you rent a car.

Ate at the buffet. Although the food was nothing exciting nor really that good, the service was impeccable. Our servers name was Aida — she's pretty much the only reason for 4 star review. She made the dinning experience memorable. Friendly, kind, interesting just simply amazing. Such a great personality! The business is VERY luck to have her.

The hotel is very nice and well maintained. Airplanes fly right over the property but you only hear them when outside. Unfortunately, the lights went out on our first day there and we were not compensated anything and told it was not their fault. The lights came back on a few hours later but we had already gone to bed. Our bed was so comfortable and room service is available at a decent price. You have a choice of valet or self parking but you really don't need a car because the train station is just behind the hotel and access is in the hotel. We also ate at Curve, located on the property. You can eat inside or outside and you can also walk along the boardwalk.

It is located in a great area that is not too far from downtown Vancouver. The rooms are very nice and clean. Clean bed and very comfortable. The service was fast and professional. The shower and bathroom was spotless! Great hotel and great time, will come back in future. Highly recommended!

The river rock hotel is a great place to stay. I've stayed a few times and loved it every time! The rooms are clean and the Bed are soft! I wanted to take mine home! Luckily they actually have that option! Whenever I am in town, I try to stay here. Plus the casino down below and the night market close by are an added bonus.

Very comfortable and close to the airport, despite this proximity you do not perceive the passage of the planes. Very well soundproofed. Great room and helpful staff.

Great hotel experience. The rooms are always clean and tidy. The location of the hotel is pretty convenient as it is attached to a grain and bus station. This allows for some good mobility while visiting the city.

Had a terrible experience here with my family over the May long weekend. We came for our annual long weekend vacation together and booked 4 rooms. Our check-in was delayed by over 2 hours and they couldn't get us all onto the same floor even though we booked a month in advance. I understand mix-ups happen, but what really surprised me was how indifferent and dismissive the front desk manager was when we raised our challenges to her. Incredibly frustrating, will never come back.

The decore is amazing and it doesnt feel tacky like youd think for a casino. The scenry outside is wonderful and the food at the buffet is delicious.

I went to this casino for the buffet dinner only. 5pm to 9pm. Parking is ample and free. The facility is fancier than I had expected. We were seated at the dining area with a great view, large windows overlooking the nearby river. My fav part of the meal was the dessert. Ice cream and popsicles. The roast was OK. Also note that there's a different buffet for Fridays and Saturdays which includes seafood.

I went to the casino to commemorate my friends birthday. It was a very pleasurable experience. The staff is very organized and professional. They have a large amount of machines and tables with all types of poker and black jack. I recommend checking it out.

The hotel is very upscale. The accommodations are nice. The Internet access is slow and unreliable. It's very convenient if you're attending an event at the convention space.

Selection of games are great. Poker tables are always busy! Casino itself is quite beautiful and well kept. And the buffet is worth it on Friday and Saturday nights. Warning, come early. There is always a line for the buffet on Friday and Saturday.

Other than getting ID'd being close to 40. It was OK. They werent really prepared to handle the promotion at the buffett and the cashiers were overcharging for the promotion. There's a lot of hidden fees and charges and its very unethical to charge without notification prior to going to River Rock.

My stay at the River Rock was amazing, there is everything you need right there, you can step right onto the skytrain and run into downtown, the atmosphere was pleasurable and the rooms were great. Cant say enough about it I will be back next week to go to a canucks game.

I work at all the casinos in Canada; therefore I can't comment on the casino, only the hotel. Normally I stay at hotel chains for the reward points but I've learned from first hand experience that River Rock is undoubtedly the best hotel in proximity to YVR. If you have absolutely no interest in gambling; trust me, stay here, it's still worth every nickel! It's easy to navigate to and from via car, it has a sky train station in it, the hotel has superb service and facilities, the buffet and steakhouse is better than any casino in Canada I can think of and the hotel rooms are the best you'll find in the area. This is the only hotel in Vancouver where I can stand up in the shower and not hit my head on the darn faucet (I'm tall). The fact that their showers are walk in, always have intense water pressure and seemingly have infinite hot water at ever minute of the day is enough to get me to stay here every time I visit Vancouver; everything else is icing on the cake. I know it's silly to go on about a shower, but when you live in an out of hotels the little things start to matter. The only downside is that if you are a very light sleeper keep in mind this hotel is at the end of a very busy international airport runway and depending on the flight paths which change very often you may not appreciate the noise at times.

I love the atmosphere here. The casino is pleasant, the food options are good (if chaotic when the food court was busy) and theatre is nice with not a bad seat. Parking and access is easy. The biggest issue is that there is nothing else around the area.

Staff was friendly but my experience there is not up to par. Lots of machines but many seem old and not many had sound issues. Table games were abundant but the people playing were always creating a hard to handle atmosphere and the staff seems inexperienced to lighten the mood. The bathrooms seemed clean but the people there tended to spit on the ground and staff had no method of warning them or telling them to stop.

It's a luxury hotel establishment that has a casino, theatre, bar, restaurants, gift shops music and more attached to the bottom. Floor below the hotel lobby. Located in Richmond With easy to access by transit and minutes from the airport.

Breakfast with Santa was a great experience. My kids had a great time. Everything was set up nicely. Really enjoyed the magician and games set up outside in the lobby. Santa was excellent and very patient. The staff was amazing. Will definitely be attending next year. Thanks.

Had our company Christmas party at the buffet. It was a great spread and our server Karim was very attentive. We went down to the Curve lounge afterwards and had a great time. A live duo provided a great ambience and the staff were friendly.

Room had a view of river, but did suffer from a bit of noise from low flying planes to the airport. Room was very warm regardless of what temperature was set in the thermostat. The bed was comfortable and the down pillows were great. Nespresso in room was a nice touch. Self-parking was a good walk from the lobby so in poor weather valet may be a good idea.

Nice rooms. Friendly staff. Expensive drinks. Needs a bigger and more convenient poker room.

And maybe many others should too. You offer terrible customer service and so slow checking in and checking out as under staffed and you do not reply when written to and many attempts made so no proper excuses! Had a terrible time and experience there about a month and so ago and wrote you a few times, (GM), to TRY and get any satisfaction and now attempting your Facebook page! Weak! Why not try this River Rock! … 1. Not be all like "who cares" cause we are "River Rock" and your mentality that people will just come anyways stinks, 2. Actually be sincere/care when a problem or issue comes about, 3. Listen to your guests, (actually listen), and pretend to CARE! You are super high priced and then to see horrible customer service is super frustrating, yes? 4. Wake UP! My girlfriend has said never again to there and she lived in Van City for many yrs, I am from Kelowna. Super disappointed in you! Reply to emails and posts! OR get someone who is literate enough to! Wow.

The River Rock provided an excellent venue and accommodations for the Gordon Food Service Annual Meeting. Service and staff were top notch. A very pleasant experience. Nov. 21, 2015

I went to the theatre. Great sound and great seats! Hope to be back for the casino soon.

I went to have a birthday dinner at the buffet section with my girlfriend and her parents as it was her mom's birthday. The food was presented very well and there was a good variety, however lots of the items I got definitely had a funny after taste like my fried noodles which tasted like stryofoam or my sweet and sour pork which tasted like fish and some things like the soup looked like it was from a can. The dessert section was good.

Went to river rock for year end dinner. Went to room 590 where I got a fantastic view of the parkade. Hmmm nothing to complain about.

Went to our work party that was held in the fraser room. Food was good and the addition of a casino was great after having a few drinks.

Loved the rooms, 2nd time I have stayed. Disliked the front desk staff at each interaction. For Canadians they are pretty curt and could use some customer service lessons… I had a meeting in their ballroom and ask the front desk to hold my computer bag, the first words out of their mouth was "we cant take your bag" I was puzzled and then he said "you have to be a guest, "I am". And then he took it. Another night I had technical difficulties with my pay per view movie and ask them to remove it. The front desk questioned me, what is it doing, how long have you watched it. You;'ve been watching for 38 min. I would have to call the provider. "Could you just please remove the movie? " I asked. "I'll have to call the provider and see if they are having difficulty before I remove it" — When I got the bill she didn't remove it. For an $8 credit on a $1000. Bill, sorry, you lost my return business.

I won 150$ and they conned me into losing it all by promising me to give me back my money if I lost it in one bet. Then they tackled me to the ground and stole money from my wallet, do not go to this casino they're scammers and will do anything to keep your hard earned cash.

Love the buffet although it has gotten pricey. Good times for casual gambling and shows.

It's catered to the high end crowd. The hotel rooms are great and the services is excellent. Because you've paid for it.

The River Rock is my favorite hotel to stay when in Vancouver. The location is perfect — it is a short train ride from the airport, and is located right at Bridgeport, one of the main terminous stations. A short train ride from Richmond Center, as well. The hotel itself is beautiful, rooms are always clean. We stay in one of the suites, which are quite spacious. The view of the harbour is spectacular. The only thing that is lacking is restaurants close by. The Buffet is tasty, but expensive. The weekend is worse as far as that goes. The staff is always extremely friendly and helpful There is a pool with a small water slide that the kids love. Room to sit at tables outdoors. Beautiful grounds. Stayed here 5+ times. Very accessible (Skytrain station adjacent to hotel). Wonderful family pool. Buffet breakfast is decent but recent price increase means this is no longer a decent value. Nice rooms, many with great views of the mountains, river. But — 1 star for has to be the slowest Internet connection I've seen since ~2007. Truly lousy Internet speed and reliability.

Good times. Nice place. Awesome Casino. Nice view of the river and great restaurants. Lots of entertainment as well. Right next to the Skytrain and a few stops from YVR.

Just got back from a 3 day business event. The suites are OK, but the housekeeping was lacking. I stepped on something that was in the carpet. It turned out to be a BENT SAFETY PIN! It went in my foot so far that I had to pull it out. I went down and spoke to the head concierge and handed him the pin. He immediately apologized, suggested first aid, and said he would speak to housekeeping and management and someone would be in touch with me immediately. NOBODY contacted me, so I guess they didn't care? When I checked out, I asked for the head concierge. When I asked why no one had contacted me, he had no answer. I told him that I was very disappointed in the fact that there was no follow-up. I told him that if they were as good as they said, they could contact me through e-mail. That was 4 days ago. I guess they don't really care or appreciate my business. I won't stay there again.

I really expected more. First off, the walk from parking to the actual hotel is a bit much. Would have been nice if they had planned this building better but perhaps there was more to it than we know being so close to the airport and in the flight path. So in short, by the time you park on P2 as all of P1 is reserved, get into the elevator to take you to P1 so that you can enjoy a 7 minute walk either directly through the casino where nobody seems to smile or outside of the hotel should the weather be nice as it was for us, to get to your room from the time you park is roughly 15 minutes. A bit much do't you think? The Fairmont which is right at the airport was way quieter when it came to planes flying in and out over your hotel so that was another point lost in my books PLUS the rooms could be maintained better in the sense that the toilet could stop running as that would be nice (we have water meters, we pay for crap like that, wonder if hotels do? ) and the biggest beef when it comes to the rooms is that internet completely and totally sucks. No reason for that — especially not at the price being charged to stay here. There is so much here that feels kinda hokey. Now, I want to leave this on a high not by sharing what I DO like! Depending on the room you choose, the view is fantastic, everything is very neat, clean and tidy, the staff has been fantastic right from A — Z and the food here is really good!

RR Casino was a place that my retired parents enjoyed frequenting since moving out to the lower mainland nearly two years ago, and has been a place that I have stayed at and even referred others to visit/stay at — NO LONGER.! Longer story short: last night a well-meaning RR casino floor manager lacked a bit of empathy in trying to resolve/follow up on an episode of verbally-abusive behavior by (likely. ) a mentally-dysfunctional couple, who initially — for some reason — took umbrage to my dad casually and briefly observing some of their game-table play. This is something I myself would do — and notice many others 'cruise about' — just to try and be entertained by 'people-watching', pure and simple, no other motive and just trying to be the 'proverbial fly on the wall'. I failed to witness the original episode last night that bothered my dad, but he claims that he was in the process of just switching from one slot machine to another — like so many typically do — and he and a few others couldn't help noticing the m-d couple as they attempted some higher-stakes gambling (RR is a casino after all. ) at one of the public/open card tables. For some idiotic reason, this was what the m-d couple took umbrage to in the way they phrased their desire for privacy, to which Dad replied with ". Well, this is a public venue (plus it wasn't like the m-d couple owned RR casino and to be able to dictate policy. ) and again, I'm simply just part of the traffic passing thru.

We flew in from Calgary to see the band Collective Soul on the Friday morning. When we arrived we were well looked after by all the great staff at the River Rock. The concert was FANTASTIC! and even the back up band was great. We had a small misunderstanding with room tipping, but it was quickly looked after by Rosh, the fellow who sits on the main floor at the desk. Also the head of house keeping was also involved, and I forget her name (sorry) All the staff involved were nothing short of fantastic! I could go on an on, but I guess the point of the e-mail is to simply let you all know we will be back! Steve n Pam Takaoka.

I love this venue. It would be 5 stars except for the stairs. I find them very scary. The last time I was there a male audience member fell on the stairs. Wear your flats ladies, I love to wear heels when I go out, but those stairs are awful. They need to put a railing down the middle of them and a railing on the walls of stairs on the outer sides. It would probably be appreciated by many people. Other than that it's great. Lots of parking, I think it holds about a 1000 people. The seating is great.

Excellent site to enjoy playing and betting.
