Friendly staff… good waffles… nice pool and spa!

So far my stay has been really fabulous I enjoyed the hot tub the beds are comfortable and clean rooms are really nice.

The layout of the hotel was very nice. Its an older building, but it was very well kept. Quiet and clean.

Tired, shabby, dated. No room service. Rooms stank of old ashtrays and dirty feet. Noisy. TV belongs in 1992. Expensive for what you get.

Enjoyed our stay very much. Coming back for a couple more days on our return journey. Breakfast was great.

The Hotel Lobby was very clean and inviting and the room was very clean. The only negative was the bar fridge was not working and we didn’t realize it until the next morning when we were packing up to leave. But other than that it was a pleasant experience.

I didn’t stay here but still got charged full amount. Still recieved emails as if I stayed here asking for my opinion on the place. Will never book this place again. Better places to stay at that are more flexible.

Loved this place. Stayed for 3 weeks. Raj was wonderful and very busy. The staff was great. Housekeeping staff were very clean and thorough. Will stay here again.

I stayed here for my birthday and although it was nice there are 2 reasons I'd never go back. Reason one it's taking alot longer to get my $100 deposit back then I thought. It's been 4 days since I checked out and honestly no help from the staff to get this back any faster. One day they tell me 48 hours the next day it's 72 hours. Confusing and very frustrating! Reason 2 they have security guards there over night to watch the hotel well think again! My friends and I got back to the hotel around 1:30am and to my surprise the security guard was asleep in the back room. With 3 people walking in to the front door of the hotel and him not even flinching from the sound of us walking through the halls made me think twice about ever taking my son there and being safe. I'm not to happy with this hotel and will most likely never return.

We have stayed at this property twice and were pleased both times. Very clean, comfortable spacious room, good breakfast, nice pool and whirlpool area and caring, helpful staff. If we travel to visit family nearby will definitely stay there again.

Awesome Hotel, clean, quiet, friendly staff!

There are not a lot of choice in Maple Ridge and I find this one the best. Very friendly staff and clean rooms. The Wi-Fi is good too.

Good check in, very helpful and friendly staff at the front desk. Official Breakfast is at 630, but they will let you in even shortly before 6. Room was clean, beds were comfortable. Nice having a window that can be opened as well as a fan in the bathroom. Their is a kerug for coffee regular or decaf all in all a great stay. I would recommend.

Complimentary breakfast was great, but the room was very dusty, and the ice bucket was dirty. The customer service was great. Thanks for taking care of us the next morning our check out day.

Amazing place! Stayed for 4 days and quite enjoyed each day. Free breakfast was pretty good, filling and buffet style, which I like. Good selection. Rooms are fantastic, pool and hot tub are wonderful. Beds are so soft and comfy to sleep in. Prices were not so bad. Directly across from Home Restaurant and next to gas stations and other places. Love this hotel, and I hope to be back some day!

Yes, it was clean and the staff were great. But the beds were HORRIBLE. I will not stay here again until the mattresses have been updated. Also no soundproofing, so everything from the hallways (doors closing, guests talking and walking) echoes throughout the entire hallway and under the doors to the guest rooms. The Continental Breakfast, the scrambled eggs and sausages are microwaved. Everything else is great (non-perishable breakfast items). This was our first stay at a Best Western and it may very well be our last.

We were in town for a funeral and we were very satisfied with the room. Liked the Keurig coffee — — just like at home! Beds were most comfortable too. Too bad about the snow!

The staff at this Best Western is wonderful. The included breakfast definitely makes for a great start to the morning. Pool and Hot tub open until 10pm. We appreciated the on-site coin laundry (loonies only) as we were staying for a couple of weeks.

I found the rooms to be clean and spacious, the decor is on its way to becoming dated, but the staff were freindly, and very helpful!, very nice people, I would go back and stay there again.

The suite my partner and I stayed in was spacious and clean. The room had a large flatscreen TV with digital cable, a mini fridge, and a stocked Keurig. It also had a side room with a couch and a second flatscreen. Wifi and a continental breakfast were included, also. We would happily stay here again.

Nice room. Fairly standard. The breakfast was a failure. Breaker tripped on the coffee and juice machine but employee didn't seem concerned.

The room was fine and clean, but the bathtub was clogged and sink didn’t drain. I was too tired to request a new room late at night. At the check out I spoke to the manager and received discount. Good stay overall.

Nice place with really great rates. Pool and hot tub are small but in great condition, as always a fairly good continental breakfast and rooms were tidy with everything you could need.

Stopped in to Maple Ridge for a party with friends. Decided to stay overnight to avoid taking train back in to Vancouver. Best Western had reasonable rooms, we were able to walk in and out in about 15 minutes and get back to the party. Rooms were clean and quiet.

Rooms weren't ready at 2pm when checkout is at 11am. Stairs were very dirty. Had a problem where my toilets float didn't seat correctly so it made noise all night until the morning when I popped the lid and fixed it. Breakfast was nice, and parking was very close.

Nice place like all Best Westerns. Staying there for work. The staff is happy to help and even open the kitchen early if needed for work. The staff makes the place even better. Kodoos to them.

Building could use a little upgrading but I found everything clean and tidy. The breakfast room was tidy and everything stocked. Not a lot of tables but when I arrived there were only 2 other people. Staff is very friendly and I didn't have any problems that they had to resolve. Love Best Western!

Typical budget hotel. Check in/out staff were great. Was presented with loyalty gift upon check in. Offered Late check out when requested. Room was ok. Bed was a little too soft and room could use a "Spring" cleaning. Otherwise was comfortable. Breakfast was ok. Standard powder egg and sausage with a selection of cereal, fresh fruit, yogurt and pastrys. The waffle machine was terrible but was replaced on our last day. Good location and pool was nice. Would stay again.

Great place to relax — courteous staff, great variety of food & drink for free breakfast, spacious neat rooms with clean bedsheets & towels, a small indoor swimming pool, functional gym. Its proximity to d great shopping mall & shops, the Golden Ears Park. You'll definitely get your money's worth; spent 5 nights, could have spent more!

Do not stay here one of the night front desk staff is very rude and lies to you. I caught him out on several times telling lies to me. When I confronted him about it his lies, he told he was going to kick me out for swearing on several occasions. I never sworn at him directly. I feel totally stressed about the ordeal and will be checking out in the morning. I was supposed to here for 3 weeks and now this confrontation with the front desk advisor im leaving. This man has a serious problem and needs medical help. I hope Best Western intervenes as they have a clean hotel which is a nice place to stay. But with staff like that this hotel is one of the worst I have ever encountered.

Nice small hotel and we loved the room. Very clean, lots of towels, a working coffee machine and TV. The breakfast was more than expected. Didn't try the pool or hot tub but it looked nice. There is a restaurant called the HOME directly across the road, highly recommend.

I have stayed here a few times and have had good experiences. Staff are friendly, rooms are clean, breakfast is mediocre as any continental is. This visit was slightly annoying due to the fact that they chose to give me a room with my 2 and 4 year olds that had a non working heater and had a space heater on the desk. The space heater was annoying to listen to all night and it blew the fuse in our room several times. It also took a really long time to warm up the room. I'm sure I will stay here again as this was the first unpleasant stay out of a few but if I was there more than one night this time I certainly would have asked to be switched to a better room. I guess I just assume they would have only given that room if it was the last available which it certainly wasn't. Staff was still very friendly.

Clean rooms & friendly staff! — Called to make the reservation and the lady on the other line was very friendly and answered all my questions. When we arrived the staff were helpful and efficient. The beds were comfy and the room was spacious. The bathroom had a full tub but was quite small, the sink was outside the bathroom but was cut off from the rest of the room with a closet so you still had your privacy. The complimentary breakfast was as good as you can expect, nothing awesome. Over all great stay.

If there was an option for negative star, I would have gave negatives… My parents run best western in Canada in NB so I only use best western and I usually have good comfortable stays in best western but this best western is by far the worst best western I've ever visited. First day I arrived, there was a front desk clerk who didn't even stand up from his chair. He was not a friendly person that should be at the front desk. I had 2 rooms booked for Aug 2nd had to check out on 3rd and came back on 4th. First day, despite the disrespectful front desk clerk I had to face, it was not too bad night. But on 4th we had different rooms then what we had on 2nd. One room had strong smell of smoke and in the other room while I was sitting on a toilet, a huge spider dropped, it was size of my fist. I have never seen spider that big in my life other than what I saw from zoo. I never get scared from bugs but this time I was terrified. Anyways, that might not be hotel's fault. You know… shit happens sometimes. But it doesn't get any better. After this incident, we were outside for awhile and came back around 9pm. My key didn't work so I went to front desk to get my card key working.

I can't speak for the state of the hotel iself because they cancelled our reservation for Saturday August 1st (made weeks beforehand) a few days before our arrival. We are flying to Vancouver from Toronto with our two young children to visit my husband's 95 year old grandmother who lives near Maple Ridge. Everything in Vancouver appears to be fully booked, which must be why the hotel refused to honour our reservation — they can make more money on a last minute booking then on a reservation made well in advance. No consideration for what we are now supposed to do with nowhere to stay with a 6 year old and 4 year old and no hotel availability anywhere. So, book this hotel at your own peril — and don't assume a reservation means they will actually have a room for you.

I booked 3 rooms for my family. We had a great weekend. The kids and grandkids loved the pool. The outside area around the pool was the best. We could relax while the kids swam. Definitely would stay there again.

Not impressed with the Asian lady mgr and her interviewing skills were weak and her broken English made it challenging to understand.

Clean, Quiet, Comfortable I recommend this hotel. The hot tub was actually pretty hot unlike many other hotels ive been to.

From the first smile of your front desk employee to the final smile of your front desk employee, this was the perfect stay. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable, the breakfast awesome. The front desk staff both PM and AM were friendly, helpful and a joy to converse with. Although this is not one of the newest examples of best western, it is a refreshing example of what originally brought us to be repeat customers of your brand.

Nice hotel for short break. We had a marvelous stay at the Best Western. Wonderful interiors, very good service and excellent continental breakfast, Very reasonably priced too for a luxury hotel.

Since they changed locations the hotel is great, rooms are nice. Not too expensive, service is good and receptionists are helpful. Deffinitly recommend staying here.
