The room had no self temperature control. It was extremely hot. The room was off to the side away from the rest of the rooms. It faced out on the busy street and was very noisy. The hot tub chemicals were so strong that we were unable to sit in it.

The room seemed cleaned however the beds were extremely uncomfortable and the pillows were way too thick. The carpet between our beds was wet when we got there and we didn't know why. The bathroom only had facial soap and 2 different brands of conditioner, no shampoo or hand soap. Our room smelled of cigarette smoke because there was a place just in front of our door for people to smoke. We could hear the people above us talking and walking around til very late. We were woken up at 3am by the AC Unit making a loud clunking noise even though it was not turned on. The only positive was the restaurant beside it that had super good breakfast.

Booked for my grandma’s surprise birthday and Happened to be during the air show and they Totally jacked up the price! $370 for one night! Very basic room. One window. Holes in the wall and loud. Saw at least 2 people shooting up in the parking lot. Absolutely wont be staying there again or best western if I can help it.

The pool was green and had a bandaid floating in it for our whole stay. The plants all along the front doors smelled like cat pee. We also had to talk the staff into giving us a third towel for our daughter. The rooms were clean and the beds comfortable.

Our 1st assignment was the double-bed room we had reserved, but it hadn't been cleaned. Why did we get keys? We then got a clean room but with a single bed. Took a while to get linen for the couch. Room was hot and stuffy, cooled after a while with wall mounted, very noisy a/c. I wish we'd kept driving.

BED BUGS DONT GO THERE! And they don’t care, they will give you the room knowing it’s infested. So if you’re attracted by their low prices, at least check your bed for bedbugs. Expect a smelly room, if not cigarette smoke, pet wastes or something else.

Good place to stay. I'd give it 5 stars if they had a continental breakfast and when I ask for fresh towels, not to leave me hand towels for my shower. Not sound proof if its busy, but when very little guests, quiet.

Absolutely terrible rooms. Went as a group and all of our rooms smelled of either urine, smoke or dirt. There were stains on walls, lamps and floors. We watched what looked like drug deals happen in the parking lot several times. Not one of us would stay there again. It is sad that there name is associated with Best Western. I've always been able to rely on a Best Western. But definetly not here. Camping in a tent would be a step up. The only positive thing was the house cleaners or chamber maids. They were helpful and kind. Worked hard and got treated unfairly I feel. This place needs to step up and make a change.

This place has gone down hill rather markedly of late. We had no hot water in the morning. Pool was closed, in spite of operating properly. Management completely tone deaf to my enquiries. Manager always "busy", "in conference" or "at meetings". In other words, couldn't be bothered. We have stayed there at least 20 times over the years, won't stay again. Good will all used up, in spite of offer of additional rewards points.

We have stayed here more than twenty times over the last few years. The front desk staff used to be friendly and competent. Now we are just strangers. We've noticed the upkeep deteriorating. About a year ago they had a shortage of hot water because they hadn't repaired one of their water heaters. The water was lacking real warmth today too. I don't know if they still haven't repaired it. While on the topic of water, the bathroom was dungy and the bathtub drain plug was broken. At 0800 in the morning I attempted a shower. The water was lukewarm but I needed to shower and get on with my day. Midway through shampooing my hair the water turned ice cold. The beds in this room were hard. Maybe they changed them from last time or they vary from room to room. The pool was closed due to being "Out of Order" even though when I peered through the window the whirlpool was functioning and the pool was full and seemed in order. No painting, construction, or renovation was evident. At check-out I mentioned the problem with the lack of hot water. The clerk claimed that "nobody else has complained". I suppose she was essentially calling me a liar. Well, I didn't believe her either. She said all she could do was give me some extra reward points. I received a phone call after we departed. The clerk said that the manager, Shaez, was "in meetings all day and could not give you a call" but said to give 1000 loyalty points and 50% off of the next stay.

This is an older style of hotel, but it is clean and updated. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Truck driver friendly, you can park a tractor on site or park a complete unit cross the street in a dirt lot. Good rate and there is a restaurant just feet from the hotel.

The management spoke about how the property is undergoing an upgrade. The rooms look great and were very clean. I was quite impressed and will definitely visit again.

We had a GREAT sleep on really comfy beds, wonderful rain-head showers and even though we were just 200 feet from the freeway, the soundproofing was great and we didn't hear a thing! Also the black out curtains WORKED and we could sleep in! Yeah! Brought our dogs — they were happy too! Great place!

Charming hotel with an amazing view! Jacuzzi was great but the pool was way too cold to use! Tons of choices for food and beverages all just a short minute walk away so definitely a great location while travelling and right by freeway exit so easy access to everything.

The rooms are alright and the staff is nice. The room was clean but we had no tissue in our room. The high way is close so there is that ambient sound going all night. Also in the morning we were close enough the rail to hear the whistle loud and clear. Another thing is since the stairs to the upper level are outside, it was raining and my wife fell down the stairs since the aluminum stair guards do not have grips.

Clean rooms. No sound privacy, can hear people in the parking lot and the rooms beside and above you really well. Nice staff though. You get what you pay for.

Hotel has been a favourite of ours, but not this last time. There was flooding above us, our carpet was wet. They gave us a little mat to put over the area… which was way too small, so to use the washroom, we had to walk over wet carpet. They did try to get us a room at another hotel in the area, but everything was booked. The maintenance workers worked above us until 5:00 am. We did phone shortly after 11:00 pm to complain about the noise, and were told they were just finishing up upstairs. We asked for compensation, received 23 dollar credit. My husband had to be at the cancer clinic the next morning… this was not a good experience for us. On the plus side, we did have an excellent meal at the Crossroads restaurant on the site. I ended up having an asthma attack the next morning at the hospital, the receptionist at the cancer clinic wheeled me over to emergency, where I was treated for 4 hours. If I could give no stars, I would.

Good servicable traditional motor hotel just off Trans Canada Highway. Staff were helpful and kind when we were stranded motorists. Good family restaurant on site.

It was clean. Set up like a motel which is a little strange, but is quiet and has options for kitchenettes. Just off the easy to find with quite a few amenities close by.

Stayed 3 nights here for a fundraising event and was very impressed. Very quiet considering the proximity of the freeway. Lots of amenities nearby. Excellent value and helpful staff. Pet friendly was greatly appreciated.

On the side of the highway near all the fast food joints and a great place to stop for the night if you on the road and not looking for action. Older property but well maintained and priced appropriately. Will stay here again.

Staff when checking in and out were very friendly. Price for room was very reasonable. Room was recently renovated. Restaurant next to hotel has a good variety menu and food was excellent.

This is the best motel I've ever been too. They have nice showers in the room. Plus my kids loved the pool and I loved the hottub!

Traditional motor hotel near the highway. Clean, well maintained, and well laid out. Good beds. Fridge and microwave are handy. There is a restaurant in the courtyard and that is quite good.

The pool and hot tub were BOTH closed by order of the health inspector! Not only was this VERY disappointing as we always look forward to hot tub time and had planned that for leisure time, but it really makes us wonder about the hotel management in general… in what other areas might corners be cut and cleanliness and quality lacking? It really undermined our confidence in the BW brand. On top of that, one of the hotel housekeeping staff illegally parked behind me, where there was obviously NOT a parking stall, and totally blocked my car in. It took 45 minutes to figure out whose vehicle it was and get it moved. I was EXTREMELY upset and VERY frustrated as it wrecked my schedule for that whole day. The lady at the desk tried to be helpful, and did her best to find the vehicle owner, but in retrospect, a tow truck should have been called immediately before she started calling guest rooms in case we couldn't find the owner. We were offered a free breakfast the next day, which was nice but we couldn't use due to other plans, and only got a $17.50 discount (a discount I had to ask for) for all the trouble. That does not NEARLY compensate for the amount of frustration and inconvenience that your staff member caused. Also, one of our key cards continuously did not work, we had to get it re magnetized 4 or 5 times at the office.

Though it's nice to have a little throwback in life, the quality of this Inn was terrible. To start, the moment I walked in, I could tell that these rooms were not maintained very well. The furniture was old, which can give it a good feel of character, but it wasn't the "old age" you would enjoy in table if you are into that sort of thing. Second, the bed sheets looked as if someone had already slept in them and the housekeeper just made the bed when the last guest left. Lastly, there were hairs from the last guest that stayed in that room found in the sink and shower. This shows that the rooms were not inspected very well if at all. In addition, after asking for a set of towels and some extra shampoo, I never received anything until the housekeeper came out of another room she was cleaning three rooms down and I had to then ask her for the things I had requested 20 minutes earlier even though I was told it would be delivered shortly. I know for a fact that it does not take that long to walk to my room as it only takes 3 minutes tops. Overall, the experience was a disappointment as I travel often and work in the industry.

Nice rooms and they are pet friendly too. Nice room, very comfortable and clean. The walkway outside the room had had the carpet removed and was very noisy when somene walked by.

Close to major Hwy intersection but the traffic noise was hardly noticeable. Walking distance to several restaurants. Room was clean, newer shower head. Toilet/shower separate from sink. Comfy beds with lots of pillows. Did not use the pool area. Cleaners did not reach our room till very late in the afternoon. Two levels so could hear a bit of floor noise above us when visitors were moving around.

Under new management and being renovated. I was having check-in issues but it was resolved quickly by the owner manager. Forgot his name but it was much appreciated. Close to restaurants, shopping and higway 1 plus close to Canada/US border. Well situated. Could use more handicap parking spots at least 1 per parking section.

Attractively furnished rooms, timed bathroom fan, extra pillows and lots of soaps. Abundant outlets, strong Wi-Fi and reliable air conditioning. Near s huge selection of restaurants, sit down locations as well as fast food for those in a hurry. Truly no complaints and a very comfortable stay.

The front desk clerk "Mahesh" was very rude. Won't stay again.

Good rooms. The breakfast is really good.

Upon arrival, we were informed by the front desk staff that they had a truck stolen from the parking lot only days before. As a precaution, we emptied the contents of our vehicle to the best of our ability and parked the truck directly in front of the lobby window. In the 9 hours we were there, a 600 lbs rolling tool box stuffed full of tools was stolen out of the back box of the truck. After the police report, the staff were kind enough to point out "You really should have brought that into your room". This crime would have taken several men at least 10 minutes and occurred literally 30 ft from the lobby window. There are no cameras in this lot, nor attentive staff, despite the well known and repeated crime that occurs. Best Western Bakerview is essentially repeatedly victimizing out of town travellers by not installing any security measures (or even just looking out their own front window). They clearly have no respect for the property of their guests and as such, I'll never stay there again. TLDR: Crime riddled spot, avoid like the plague.

Great little Inn to stay. Pet friendly, happy staff, pool on site and easy access. Were on our way to Victoria and stayed here. Arrived at 1 a. M. Left at 9 a. M. And used my points. They were very friendly.

A cute little hotel that just happened to be on the exact spot I needed a hotel to be. Very clean and very well priced. Recommended.
