Barb and Andy make this a truly wonderful place to visit. The peacefulness of the area and the relaxing atmosphere are the other key parts of Goldenwood. I wish we could visit more often. Can't wait for our next visit.

Have been here many times. We have done the Teepee's about 3-4 times. As well as a couple of the cabins. We adore this place, the owners are always so accommodating and pleasant. We wanted to come back this summer but can't wait to enjoy it next year.

So peaceful, stunning views and wildlife. Lovely hosts, tasty breakfast. Loved it.

We went here on our honeymoon at the end of July and completely ADORED it! If your looking for the normal cheap, one night stay it's great, but I really suggest you take two or three days to really enjoy the property. We booked a teepee for 5 nights (I'm not sure on pricing for the cabins but if you "NEED" a solid roof there are cabins but even in the rain the teepees are dry except for a one foot diameter wet spot). At the end of July there are fresh wild raspberries everywhere and toads to catch at night if you know how to be gentle. They don't really offer bikes anymore mostly because I think no one's asked for a long time and they went unmaintained when we asked and it was a second thought anyways. It was the only dissapointment was the website hadn't been updated. If you geocache there are spots nearby. I would highly suggest this place for anyone who really wants to disconnect but not really. You have Wi-Fi in camp but if you go far enough on the trails you can make it to a dead zone and truly relax! You cook for yourself in multiple areas (including a clay pizza oven! ) And book breakfast in the main house for an extra charge if you hate cooking breakfast like me while camping. The only bad thing has nothing to do with the owners. If you plan on going on a drug trip don't do it there. It was very disheartening to hear that people would do stuff like freak out on a drug trip and have the emt called.

It's a wonderful place to stay and relax. We did enjoy the fantastic view and the silence. The best place we have been during our journey in Canada 2016.

What an amazing place to stay! We had our own cabin with kitchen and an outside shelter with benches and a fire pit. A view of the mountains in the distance and only the sounds of nature around you. Very clean and comfortable rooms. Go for the peace and quiet.

I went here 21-24th May, 2016 with my parents who came from South Korea. We did enjoy fantastic view, stars and dinner. However, on my way back home I realised that I left there my black leather bag which had some keys and documents. I worried about it continuously when driving home. Fortunately, Barbara emailed me that she found the bag behind the door we stayed. Two days later the bag arrived. Thank you very much Barbara and Andy.

We volunteered at this lodge in the spring of 2015 and have to say, it was one of the highlights of the whole year. Barbara and Andy provide you with immaculate accommodations on their piece of paradise in the Rockies. The food was lovingly prepared and always healthy — and the conversation, delightful and light hearted. We recommend this location to anyone looking for a peaceful, relaxing vacation where the views never end and adventures are around every corner!

Amazing Lodge. The best place I've been during my journey in Canada 2014.

We have been in this amazing place for two times and we will definitely come back again! Barbara and Andy are very nice generous hosts and they have paid attention to every details in their cottages! They bake very delicious breads and toasts and take very good care of the place. The cottages are warm and cosy and they have an amazing view that you can spend hours just watching the location is very quite and is perfect for a getaway from the city. The hiking trails around to the river are kind of short, but very nice and are shaded with very tall trees. cons: The only thing is that the internet is super-slow and only good for urgent text emails.
