Just spent the weekend at a scrapbooking crop. The Heritage Inn was wonderful. Staff was helpful and very friendly. Rooms were clean and well outfitted, fridge, coffee maker, blow dryer all worked well. Beds were comfortable and had lots of pillows.
Wi-Fi was a bit spotty but still worked when needed. We’ll be back for the next crop weekend in the spring.

We were at a Scrapbooking retreat all weekend and had so much fun! The staff was amazing, so helpful and friendly, someone was even helping us out on his day off! The weekend went off without a hitch! It would have been nice if the hottub was working tho to help out weary backs, but next time! We have found our New Retreat Home!

I ended up here by accident. I was booked in Taber and my car had a mechanical problem. They took me in, treated like a VIP and helped in so many ways including the GM telling me not to rush leaving till my replacement rental came because he wanted me to be safe. But I also want to recognize the Taber location that reimbursed my night’s stay with no notice. Every employee showed me kindness that was exemplary and I wouldn’t hesitate to stay there again or recommend the chain to my friends.

Thanks to the staff! We held a Celebration of Life here for my Mom and the setting and food was fantastic!

It would be nice if the building was more wheelchair accesable, was there with a chair bound friwnd, he couldn't enter the building alone because of the slope and no access doors also the washroom doors were almost to narrow, he had to partly cold the chair to get in. Chances of us coming back, slim.

Friday, January 4/19 Walked in just before 6 pm to have a meal. Walked out ~5 minutes
later. Never saw a person, though we could here lots a chatter in the kitchen. The restaurant
was empty. We only go there occasionally because the food has been so-so in the past.
We were going to give them another try, but won’t again.

The food was delicious. A variety of freshly prepared salads and mains were served for our conference. Kudos to the chef and kitchen staff.

Hot tub was broken. Restaurant was awful waited an hour for poutine and fish and chips when there was two other tables in the restaurant.

Saturday June 9th. 100th birthday of the matriarch of our family. The food was really good. The convention room was spacious. Decorations handmade by family. Was a wonderful venue for this once in a lifetime celebration!

Rooms were nice and clean, but our room looked over the pool so we couldn't leave the curtains open, or get fresh air, which I didn't love. Pool was nice. Staff was great. Tried to go for a pint and a snack at the attached pub at about 945 though, and was told they stopped serving food already (it was a Saturday). Things shut down real early there. Overall good experience though.

We should have known when we went in and there was absolutely no one else there that we should leave… but we didn't. Wished we would have the best part of the service was when we were ordering, after that we never seen her until after a very long time they finally brought the food out that must have been sitting under a heat light for a very long time. Out of 6 orders the only one that was decent was a bowl of potato soup. How sad, no one come to ask us if we needed anything or how our food was. At the time we asked for our bill, there was our table and one other. We sat for twenty minutes and finally went to the till and noone came. I swear we waited 20 more minutes there until I went to the bar side and said we have no idea where are waitress is but we want to go. Noone could find the waitress either and noone could get into the till except our waitress. To be honest we were contemplating on walking out as we had enough. Sure wish we would have. Do yourselves a favor and keep your money in your pocket. Ps. The one star is far too generous.

We stayed at the hotel overnight and were told we could have their continental breakfast in the morning. The hotel room was okay. In the morning we received a card for the 2 of us to order off the menu at the restaurant. So we went in and were told by the server that we could only have their one selection (which was hot plates containing scrambled eggs, sausage, potatoes and pancakes) and we could not order off the menu. These 4 items were all cold and stale. They tasted like they were left overs from the day before and it was very gross.
On a side note. The night we stayed at this hotel we went into the restaurant for snacks and were told by the server to go to the pub instead. The staff in the restaurant were sitting at a table talking when we came in and there were no other customers so it seemed like we were pushed out because they wanted to socialize with each other rather than serve customers. We felt very unwelcome.

We have been going here for over 9 yrs. Went yest Tues for breakfast … we got a traditional and a lumberjack … ham was forgotten and never brought eggs raw had to have them take them back waitress even said oh gosh they are raw… hashbrowns were so grease there was a layer of grease on plate… Honestly dont think I will go back…

We just had a 100th birthday for my Grandma at the High River Heritage Inn and the service was just amazing! Dar went above and beyond helping us with all of our needs and all of our unexpected requests! The food was delicious! The Service Staff was just awesome! Everything went perfect and we can't thank them all enough. It will be an event we will remember for a very long time. We will definitely recommend the High River Heritage Inn!

What a joke. I swear it took 20 or 30 minutes to check in and I was so stressed I almost told her to forget it and just go somewere else. I was just too tired. After agreeing to the rate I was informed. There was an extra fee for breakfast and by the time tax was added the room was up $29ca. She then pre authorized my credit card for MORE than twice the final amount of the room. When we finally did get to the room we found the bathroom trash overflowing and an ordinary small hotel room with the heat turmed off. This was in February. No surprise that on my return trip the following week I checked into the super 8 in the area with a good breakfast, no stress, no pre authorization and I saved $8ca on a much nicer room.

Went for dinner while our kids were in a night program. We had an hour and figured that would be plenty of time to order a burger and fries. We waited 35 minutes and still had no food or visit from the waitress explaining this crazy wait. Now we know why only 2 other people were there. We told the waitress we had to leave soon and she laughed it off and went to see what was happening with our food. Then we heard the fryer go in the oil… oy. After another 5 minutes we had to leave. Next time: A & W.

All of the staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. The restaurant was awesome. The rooms are beautiful!

We went here for dinner and I was pleasantly surprised. The food was delicious and reasonably priced. The kids menu items were an incredible value. It looks to be a popular place. They also have a salad bar & they had a pasta buffet for the offering on the night we went. I will definitely stop in the next time I'm in High River.

Ordered nachos, nothing about them were fresh. Not worth the $14 by all means. Very disappointed! Order was done via phone, and topping list was described differently to what we got.

Restaurant is overpriced, quality of food is not the greatest (hit and miss). They have some Nice staff, and some poor ones. Not really recommend by me.

Clean rooms and quiet Resturant an banquet rooms an a bar with a menu, reasonably priced. Pool is under renovations.

Should be wheelchair and handicapped accessible and is far from it. Side doors slam against body parts. Staff very unconcerned about these issues.

Waitress are amazing. Good coffee in the morning. Nice place to sit and gave a chat.

Thanks to the Heritage Inn for making our stay so enjoyable during the Balloon Festival! No matter what part of the hotel you are in, you can find Rick Barts, helping out wherever necessary. A super manager and his staff are excellent. Rooms/ beds are very comfortable.

My family and I went to eat in the restaurant. Not only did we wait an hour for food, we waited fourty minutes for refills (that we had to ask another waitress for), the waitress was unfriendly and complaining about her personal life, they messed up our orders and over cooked the fries, there was food in our drinks and it was dirty. Extremely disappointed in the food and service and we will not be coming back.

Clean well run establishment. Staff is very efficient and helpful. Great location within walking distance to several restaurants. Great breakfast and lunch at the Eatery here, as well as dinner at the lounge or Spitzer pub.

All the staff from making reservationsure months ago, checking in, and the restaurant were way beyond expectations! Upon arrival front desk called to see if everything was alright! So very impressed with everyone! Thank you so much. We will return! Highly recommend this establishment!

Very nice place that has large rooms. I was surprised that they do not include breakfast like so many others that were close by.

Worst check in ever. Wanted to charge me 200 dollars PER night on top of the room for a deposit upon check in (which was still 35 dollars more than advertised 99/night) ended up paying just under 400 per night. Manager wasn't available and front desk clerk was NOT accommodating or helpful in any way and didn't seem to know how to do the job. 0/10 would NOT recommend.

Very nice hotel, quite room, nice staff. The pool was cold the night we got therethe but the next day it was warm, pool is small but great for kid.

Good night sleep. Good restaurant. Nice bar.

Thank-You to the staff of the Heritage Inn for making our mothers milestone birthday such a classy and memorable event. Special thanks to Dar for her suggestions and extra efforts. The food was delicious and server made sure food was fresh and refreshments never empty. Our guests were very impressed as was Mother. The cost was so reasonable and we didn't have to set up or clean up. We just so enjoyed the time together. Thank you Layne.

This is a very nice hotel. We went there for their Mother's Day brunch buffet and it was excellent. The room it was held in was not very well lit, but the quality of the food made up for it. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

No buisnes center. Manager wont let you print off emails. Rooms are out dated. Super 8 down the street is a better bang for your buck.

Rooms are fine. Clean and priced right. Food and drinks on site makes like very convenient.

I was there for brunch and it was great everyone was super friendly probably because I know everyone.

We stayed in this hotel Labor Day weekend 2015. This hotel is wholly worthy of a 1 star rating but I will give it 2. Dim lighting in the bedrooms and stained carpeting in the hallways can be overlooked but rude behavior from staff at the front desk and the waitress in the restaurant is unacceptable. My comment is based on our experience with two employees who did not demonstrate interest or enthusiasm for their jobs, let alone know how they should act, speak and respond to customer needs and requests. We all need to learn something from time to time. Perhaps its time for management to help these employees learn if they like their jobs enough to change their behaviors.

We had to travel to High River for a funeral and so I booked a room at the Heritage Inn in High River. I called and requested early check in as the funeral was at 2:00 and we were traveling from Kelowna that day (4:00am start). Not only did they provide us with early check in, they made sure that our sister and brother were next door. So very accommodating and helpful at every turn. We were also blown away by the complimentary hot breakfast that they provided. Full breakfast, not a pathetic buffet with rubbery eggs. Our entire group totally enjoyed breakfast before we left to return home… so full many of us could not finish our meal. Our waitress was very friendly and attentive. Thanks so much for a wonderful stay and we will most definitely return if every in that area again. She advised us that they also do family reunions so… :) Oh yes, and the beds were so comfortable and lots of really good pillows too. 5 star vote from us.

Heritage is right. Decor is 1970s minimalist with no pictures or wallpaper. Bathroom (1980) had a bit of dust on the fan from its last renovation but other than that it was clean. Beds likely from the 90s and Conveniences such as lights, TV and fridge were from y2k. However the Wi-Fi is definitely recent with good signal and connectivity. I wonder if my boss got the hourly or nightly rate. I'm curious as to what era the breakfast is going to come from… howver their room service has surprisingly reasonable food rates. *edit: This review is purely my opinion and should be taken with a touch of sarcasm and in no way based on no facts other than my observation and knowledge of the decor standards over time.

Worst ever hotel I stayed. No breakfast, corridors filled with smoke smell. If you can connect to Wi-Fi, you are lucky for few min. Best of luck to connect again.
