Hotel Khamsum

Spacious, well-furnished room with wood paneling, good lighting, a heater, and a full-length mirror. The washroom was very clean, with a reliable water heater and excellent plumbing.
The staff were very cooperative and attentive, which made the stay more comfortable.
A couple of areas for improvement: the milk sachets provided for tea were expired and puffed, so I had to skip using them. Also, the balcony could use a chair and small table.
Overall, a comfortable stay.

The hotel is good. Service was great. Food was not bad considering that Bhutan is not the best place overall. I ordered the Dal Tadka twice.
The bathroom smelled a little and the room was quite noisy during the night however it compensated with the view of hills and river.

Staff were super friendly. Room was cozy and spacious. The location was super convenient. Food was fresh, tasty and homely. Overall, a wonderful experience there. I highly recommend it!

I stayed at Hotel Khamsum in Paro and had a mixed experience. The rooms were okay, but the heater was not sufficient, which made the room quite cold. Dinner was disappointing and the food was honestly inedible. On a positive note, breakfast had good options and tasted much better. With improvements in heating, hot water availability, and food quality at dinner, the experience could be significantly better.

Hotel is in a convenient location and offers a decent view, which is one of its better points. The rooms are okay for a budget stay, but don’t expect anything premium. The food was average and not very memorable. Service and overall comfort were acceptable, but there is definitely room for improvement. It’s a suitable option if you’re looking for an affordable place and don’t mind basic amenities.

I had a very pleasant stay at this hotel. The rooms are extremely spacious, clean, and very comfortable, making it easy to relax after a long day. The food deserves a special mention, very tasty and, importantly, they serve good quality vegetarian Indian food, which was a big plus for me.
I would especially like to appreciate the front desk manager, Mr. Sonam, who went above and beyond to help me. He perfectly arranged my early morning pickup at 4:30 am for a drop to Paro Airport, even in the chilling winter cold. His professionalism and helpful nature truly made my stay smooth and stress-free.
Overall, a wonderful experience and highly recommended.

Great Location in Paro. On the main road, good staff and the shop inside the hotel is decent for buying and much better than the stores. Food is also good. Really liked the fried rice and spring roll.

Rooms are spacious, view is good too! Comfortable stay with all amenities required.
Location is main Paro town. The cafes, restaurants, market everything is in a walking distance.
Only issue was with food. Since we had the whole tour booked with Make My trip and we had buffet meals — it was not good! The variety was less & not tasty. Other than this everything was great worth for money.

The room had a beautiful view of the Paro river, a nice window overlooking it. But the room was crammed, washroom inconvenient.
Food was not conforming to 3star category. Breakfast was dull and repetitive. One morning especially was a disaster. Pooris were oily. Poha was hard and dry. Bread toaster popped up burnt black bread. Milk for cornflakes was burnt. Dinner too was a bane.

Service and hospitality of the place was wonderful. We loved the place. Sonam Chophel and Tshering Dorji from the reception were really good and accomodating. If the management finds this review, please give them a raise. Good job 👏

Only Vegetarian hotel in town, walkable distance from market and the massive Paro Dzong. Though small, room is clean and comfortable with a mountain view balcony. Very helpful frontdesk in Yeshey. Good food and good service by Choki and Suma at the restaurant. As a vegan, my request for soymilk was readily provided.

I stayed this hotel two times. First time at 5th september and 2nd time 13th september but could not stay till 5pm. I had plan also stay more 1 night but at 13th september I got out from this hotel because of their services. At first their shower and water tap did not working. Then they came and fixed water but no hot water. I waited more than 2 hours, they just killed my important 2 hours. No hot water was working. After that I could not control myself, did not say a single word, just came out from this hotel and stayed other hotel. I will never recommend this hotel anyone.

We were staying at Hotel Khamsum, Paro, Bhutan and the hotel is very comfortable with excellent service and very good river view. We were given a room at the 4th floor and it was a delight to see the Paro river just across the road. The location right at the centre of the Paro town, allows you access to everything that a tourist wants, be it curios, tourist spots or anything you want. The vegetarian dishes prepared here is delicious. I would strongly recommend this hotel for everyone who loves a good vegetarian hotel.

Located in the edge of paro town. All shops and cafe are within 5-10 mins walk. Warm and friendly staff, who took are care of all our requirements promptly and without any fuzz. The rooms are old school but maintained properly. Any feedback is taken care of promptly. Washrooms are clean. Resturant is nice and cozy.

The hotel is clean, comfortable, and well-located, with modern amenities and a good breakfast spread. Rooms are spacious and peaceful. While the staff were generally helpful, service could be a bit more generous and welcoming. Overall, a pleasant stay and good value for travelers seeking convenience and comfort.

Room and location were perfect… Market was just nearby. And from the balcony you will have great view.
Service was not that good, but we were not satisfied with the complementary dinner.
Wifi connectivity was very poor.

I recently stayed at hotel khansum, Thimpu for two days, khansum inn, Paro for two days and Phuntsholing for two days. Staying in all the three places was a great experience. The rooms are very comfortable, staff is very friendly in all three places …We could get nice vegetarian food and the food was very good. Overall I liked the hotels very much.
