Another amazing lunch at Hoover’s — food is amazing, service is amazingly fast and the staff are some of the nicest staff in Kalgoorlie. This is why your customers will return again and again!

Really nice staff, got free upgrade. Service has been awesome and food is spectacular.

Good pub that does the job. Slightly annoying that you get pints in plastic cups and that all you can smell is cigarette smoke from the outside smoking area.

Had coffee at Hoover's. Service is always good, as is coffees etc but cakes are a bit hit and miss. Still the most consistent place in town though.

The food is a bit pricey but. It is an incredible place with nice balvony seating, friendly staff and a great menu for all ages. Deffinatelly recommend.

We had a very nice meal at the restaurant on the balcony. It had a lovely atmosphere and was easy to find parking.

Lovely hotel in the centre of the town, atmospheric place with good value for your money, Wi-Fi was working well which can be quite a problem in WA, restaurant offers good meals with great deals before 6pm.

Stopped in to have an early dinner and what a gorgeous old lady this beautiful hotel is. Delicious food and generous servings with efficient service. While you're waiting you can wander around and look at the restored beauty of this classic Australian Hotel. I can't begin to imagine what it would have been like in the hey days back around the turn of the 19 hundreds. After all a town that boasted about 79 pubs must have had an amazing night life!

Lovely hotel in great location. Room is clean and pleasant. Service here is friendly. Dinner at the restaurant is also very good. I would stay here again.

It was a good old place with a nice cafe and restaurant. The room was fairly nice and clean. It was on a good location.

Always good food. Though wait times can be a little long but only because it gets so busy. But the end result is awesome food, a full stomach and a small dent in the wallet.

Good service. Great food. Descent portion size. Nice ambiance on the balcony seating. Definitely recommend.

The Gold Bar at The Palace Hotel. Not a bad spot to go to and have a drink. Plenty of TV's to watch the different sports. Nice pizzas to eat there and nice skimpies to serve the cold beer and hot pizza.

Staff are attentive and professional. Food is excellent quality arrives in timely fashion. Beautiful atmosphere Gorgeous building/architecture and rich history. Treasure of the goldfields.

Foods ok. Needs the menu changed up but wudnt say the foods bad. Still good food.

A nice and clean historic hotel. I requested a quiet room so they upgraded me for free, which is exceptional. A little pricy on breakfast but it was delicious.

Great service, my steak was under cooked which I didnt appreciate because of the cost, my wife gave her food 5 stars, all in all I would go back when the chef learns how to cook a steak well done and not bleeding.

Hotel rooms are small and old style with added ensuite. Not bad but unusual. Close to centre of town. Food at the balcony restaurant was consistent and good but for a high price this is expected. Brekky and lunch downstairs also good value with huge servings.

I won't be back again. This was my second time and had high expectations being able to get a balcony room this time. But I am bitterly disappointed. No daily service — I do expect more then that in this price bracket. No Wi-Fi — well not in the rooms anyway. Even in the lobby it kept cutting out. Very frustrating. I actually had the best connection in my car! I got little sleep on both nights. The connecting door was the cause the first night when other guests returned to their rooms. The night club was the reason for the second night. Please think of your guests. If you have to have the nightclub going on a Thursday night, don't put anyone in room 12. When the music stopped at 2.30 AM I thought that would be it, but no. It wasn't until 3.30 AM that all was finally quiet, only to be woken again at 6.30 AM by the workman across the road. Not the best preparation for a 10+ hour drive. Breakfast was decent, but that wasn't included.

Great, friendly staff. Rooms were clean (although small), bed was super comfy and I was given a free upgrade to my own shower/toilet. The only bad point was the vacuum cleaner waking me up at 7am.

Don't stay here for a weekend if you want a good night's sleep — very loud music goes on to 3.30am — 4am in the morning from their pub and the staff & management don't seem to care after complaining.

Dinner was acceptable, nothing on the menu was particularly exciting, but I wasn't expecting much in Kalgoorlie. Salmon was overcooked but the lingini was nice although the sauce was a little watery. Dissapointing there were no beers available from the local brewery.

Service and food is always amazing always go back and recommend to anyone.

Old style hotel. Heritage means less comfort perhaps but good overall.

I stay at the Palace when in Kal. Clean rooms and well maintained. Downstairs, the pub is always busy and goes till late, try and get one of the rear rooms if you are a light sleeper.

The rooms are OK. Like Jim Carey said "I've had better. " Adequate but basic.

Very Nice food and lovely place to go eat of a night time. Had the Oceanic chicken, was to perfect standards. I try to come to the Palace every time I'm in Kalgoorlie. The staff are also very friendly.

Beautiful historical place to stay. Was given an upgrade to a room with ensuite for free. Definitely would go back here if I travel again through the area.

Always fantastic service and really good food. This time I had the Supreme of Chicken and it was delicious. I try to go there every time I'm in Kalgoorlie.

Amazing atmosphere especially on the weekend! 3 or 4 different Bar areas inside. Upstairs has an indoor and outdoor dining area with an indoor bar, it's nice but the food is a little expensive if you are expecting 'pub priced foods'. Bar girls are by far the best I've seen around if you position yourself in the bars towards the back of the venue.
