Hotels in Ballarat with Breakfast

No luxe, no bells nor whistles, and really no ‘soul’, but this Inn suited us perfectly for our brief stay in Ballarat as, yes sure, the room had pretty boring decor — but it had size and cleanliness

Room and amenities were clean and comfortable. Top floor unit needed to carry luggage up steep set of stairs but view of garden and fountain was pleasant. Would definitely recommend for short stay.

We had a fantastic weekend stay at Sovereign Park Motor Inn. From the moment we arrived, the staff were warm, welcoming and incredibly helpful.

A fantastic getaway.
Thank you to Alison at reception for helping us secure the right room at the last minute. We really appreciated your help.

As a woman who was travelling alone, I was made to feel very safe by the staff and the doors that self lock behind you.

What a lovely warm welcoming stay my wife and I had staying here! The bed, spa, cleanliness and everything else was about making our stay wonderful!

Great staff, very clean room, good family room space. Lots of hot water for winter to shower. Good location. Enjoyed our stay for 2 night.

Ideally situated for my needs, just a few minutes from centre of town.
Large queen room, comfortable bed A/C provided good warmth.
Bathroom, room very clean.
Bonus was electric blanket!

We stayed in the 2 bedroom apartment.
Beds were very comfortable, rooms were warm and quiet, and the central location is walking distance to Forge Pizza (best pizzas) and the center of town.

A beautiful art deco establishment retaing all the period features-spacious tall ceilings but completely up to date. Great location opposite the railway station & a 2 minutes walk to CBD.

The place was really nice, it was near and clean, had it's own fridge and bathroom. The air con was amazing, very good for a hot night.

The room was very clean. The bed was comfortable and with an electric blanket. Perfect for those cold Ballarat nights. Steaming hot water and great pressure.

The family unit was spacious, clean and well-appointed and quiet. Although we didn’t use it, the pool looked clean, and there was a BBQ. Would definitely return.

What a great place. Very clean, easy check in, comfortable bed and has a couch with 2 recliners which is super comfortable.

Excellent option for a short weekend stay. Rooms are very clean with all the usual amenities. Quite & away from main road. The staff are wonderful, very welcoming & friendly.

Nice clean rooms, comfortable enough to sleep and rest while exploring Ballarat, close enough to the main strip but far enough to have quiet time.

We stay here one night the room what super clean and confortable and very nice. We also ordered some dinner and it was so good.
Highly recommended.

If you're looking for an excellent place to dine, celebrate or stay look no further!

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Quest Ballarat Station. Our group was there for work and it felt like the perfect combination of wonderful proximity to the heart of Ballarat (which is beautiful!

Stayed here for a night. The rooms are nice, but they are freezing inside. It took me hours to warm the room up with my a/c.
There are no biscuits in the room, just tea. What sort of place does that?

The room was clean and well maintained. Service was good and the location was very convenient for the town centre (an easy 15 minute walk).

Wow what a great place to stay in Ballarat. After having a long day of driving and tiring. It was great to see Shane's friendly face. What a lovely character. The room was nice and quiet and clean.

Great location in centre of town. Old world charm preserved and presented nicely.
Car parking not very secure.

Staff are incredible and make it an even more comfortable stay. Prime location. We loved our stay. Thank you.

The house is off the Nain road while remaining within a 5 minute walk to the local shops. Denise sent detailed information on how to access property. She was very helpful with the local areas.

Off the main drag, yet very accessible to everything. And immaculate! Hosts are so accommodating!
Would definitely stay there again.

It's very clean, quiet, it feels like home. I very like here.

We stayed there with family during Christmas time for 3 nights & were really satisfied with the service that they provided.

Amazing customer service! We needed last minute accommodation on an extremely busy weekend for 4 ppl and they squeezed us in. We are really grateful for the staff at miners retreat.

We visited Kryal castle for the dragon festival weekend. We brought our 3 year old and his mind was absolutely blown. Worth going if you have kids who are into medieval era.

This was a really good experience especially for someone who is not from a western culture. Also for family with children.

Absolutely perfect! Clean, friendly, and exactly what you want for a week or weekend in Ballarat. Great location and close to everything. Couldn’t ask for much more!

Had a pet friendly room for us, have stayed a few times now, I always wonder why it's advertised as 3 star because its one of the best hotels in the area.

Rooms are basic but comfortable. The location is great, walking distance to places to eat, 5 min drive to the wildlife park, and 3 mins to sovereign hill.

We visited ballarat on 13 ad 14 Feb 2026 spending Valentine in Ballarat and really did not regret taking the offer to stay in this affordable motel with spacious room.

Second visit and loved it. The rooms are sizable, comfortable and clean. The staff are lovely. Had a wonderful breakfast and the lounge/bar area at night is cosy and inviting. Close to most places.

Craig’s Royal Hotel is an incredibly historically significant hotel and a true architectural gem in Victoria’s crown.

Great place to stay for work. The fittings, such as microwave, benchtop stove etc, are a bit dated but still functional.

The rooms are comfortable, spacious and clean, great place to stay especially if you have a function next door.

The room is a little old but it's very clean. Thw room size is also comfortable.

Jing was welcoming and very helpful. Our room was clean and suited our needs.

I've stayed here a few times when working up this way. They're reasonably priced, clean, and the rooms are comfortable.

If your here for work, pretty good not guanna lie. Rooms are clean, good beds hot water.

We had such a wonderful stay at Mercure Ballarat Hotel & Convention Centre!

What a beautiful place. The lake and the gardens are beautiful the rooms well appointed with heritage furnishings clean and tidy. Dining room was lovely and the food delicious.

For the price it is a great affordable accommodation option.

Absolutely the best. We were checking in late because the ferry from Tasmania was really late, and Iverson organised for us to be able to self check-in.
