We had a wonderful stay at Sovereign Park Motor Inn. We stayed in one of the houses rather than the motel rooms, and it was incredibly spacious, clean, and very comfortable for our family.

Great location. Room was very clean and well equipped. Staff friendly and had no issues checking in. Only downside was the very firm bed and plastic kettle — time for an upgrade on both of these.

The Lake Inn is a great place to stay in Ballarat. Close to the lake and several restaurants/pubs, the room was spacious and clean.

We had a mishap with our caravan on the way to Ballarat, which meant we missed a night of our booking and unexpectedly needed to change to a cabin stay instead.

We stayed in a pet friendly cabin for two weeks. The cabin was clean and modern and had wonderful views of the wetlands.

We have stayed at Quest a few times. Lovely rooms, private, everything you need, great beds and perfect location to walk to bars and restaurants. Excellent value for money.

Had a great time staying at Quest Ballarat during the school holidays. Their apartment was furnished well and had everything we needed. The beds were extremely comfortable.

Partner and I decided on a spur-of-the-moment trip to Ballarat and were so lucky to find this place. We stayed in the King Spa Suite, which was a definite upgrade.

Huge rooms! However you can hear the others next door. Not totally sound proof. Other then that great.

Great staff, very clean room, good family room space. Lots of hot water for winter to shower. Good location. Enjoyed our stay for 2 night.

Ideally situated for my needs, just a few minutes from centre of town.
Large queen room, comfortable bed A/C provided good warmth.
Bathroom, room very clean.
Bonus was electric blanket!

A beautiful art deco establishment retaing all the period features-spacious tall ceilings but completely up to date. Great location opposite the railway station & a 2 minutes walk to CBD.

A very friendly hotel in a great position close to the railway station (but not noisy).
Rooms are a bit small but the shower was hot!

Didn’t inform during booking that it was birthday and Harry and Lib generously gave whatever they can on the spot.

A little out of Ballarat but wonderful setting, peaceful and relaxing, a great launching spot for day trips in the area.

Perfect Sunday spot! My mom and I escaped the cold in Oscar’s Café's beautiful atrium—so warm and welcoming. Lovely staff, solid hot chocolates, and a gorgeous bar setup. We'll be back for sure!

The room was very clean. The bed was comfortable and with an electric blanket. Perfect for those cold Ballarat nights. Steaming hot water and great pressure.

Good value motel handy for most Ballarat experiences. Beds good, comfy. Clean. Warm with air con and electric blankets.

Stayed here for a night. The rooms are nice, but they are freezing inside. It took me hours to warm the room up with my a/c.
There are no biscuits in the room, just tea. What sort of place does that?

Another excellent stay at Quest!
We are very loyal Quest travellers and this relatively new hotel apartment complex did not disappoint.

The room was clean and well maintained. Service was good and the location was very convenient for the town centre (an easy 15 minute walk).

Wow what a great place to stay in Ballarat. After having a long day of driving and tiring. It was great to see Shane's friendly face. What a lovely character. The room was nice and quiet and clean.

The family unit was spacious, clean and well-appointed and quiet. Although we didn’t use it, the pool looked clean, and there was a BBQ. Would definitely return.

What a great place. Very clean, easy check in, comfortable bed and has a couch with 2 recliners which is super comfortable.

What an amazing hotel right in the heart of Ballarat! I stayed just recently and found it one of the better experiences I've had.

Stayed for the ballarat marathon, on arrival everything was perfect! The room looks so much nicer in person, the photos don’t do a justice.

Excellent option for a short weekend stay. Rooms are very clean with all the usual amenities. Quite & away from main road. The staff are wonderful, very welcoming & friendly.

We had some credit remaining for NRMA holiday parks and decided to stay one night in Ballarat. It was winter so it felt like we had the whole sit to ourselves with some families.

Stayed a for week for a family holiday. Were greeted by two ladies in the office who were very welcoming and helpful. After a 10 hour drive it was nice to arrive with everything ready and easy.

Ballarat Premier Apartments has that classic heritage-style country town façade from the outside — the kind that makes you wonder if it might feel a little dated inside.

Oversee Ballarat township. Gorgeous sunrises and delicious food. Highly recommended for a nice peaceful getaway'!

Phenomenal day out for the whole family!
That jester, (I think their name was Ezra maybe? in the yellow and purple? ) was absolutely top tier, kids entertainment legend.

We stayed at the Caravan Park and despite the weather was pleased we had a nice place to. Bunker down from horrendous winds and heavy rain.

Second visit and loved it. The rooms are sizable, comfortable and clean. The staff are lovely. Had a wonderful breakfast and the lounge/bar area at night is cosy and inviting. Close to most places.

Craig’s Royal Hotel is an incredibly historically significant hotel and a true architectural gem in Victoria’s crown.

Pretty nice apartments, simple yet nice. Good parking. 5 min drive to city centre.

We stayed there with family during Christmas time for 3 nights & were really satisfied with the service that they provided.

Amazing customer service! We needed last minute accommodation on an extremely busy weekend for 4 ppl and they squeezed us in. We are really grateful for the staff at miners retreat.

Great location for the historic Eureka Stockade area, we had a car so easy to get around Ballarat, supermarket 600m away.

The staff were lovely, facilities were amazing and comfortable. Great place to stay.

Room was a bit dated but was clean and quite. Not a massive walk to the shops but a bit out of the town center.

2. Room was very spacious and comfortable.
3 Wi-Fi and TV are okay.
4. Ample parking.
5. Need to water ferns which are dying outside the restaurant.

We visited ballarat on 13 ad 14 Feb 2026 spending Valentine in Ballarat and really did not regret taking the offer to stay in this affordable motel with spacious room.

Recommend it.
