It was wonderful for a small town motel. Beautiful room, free bottle of water and chocolates in my room, modern bathroom and set to a comfortable temperature before I arrived. Continental breakfast was quite nice, but not very accommodating of dietary requirements. Staff were friendly and made excellent restaurant tips. Will happily return if I'm ever in Sale again.

Amazing 4star Motel and Conference Center right on the main St! Beautifully lanscaped and fittingly designed pool area! Walking distance to everything and right next to the New Port of Sale Community Precinct! Definitely recommend stopping in if your coming through this lovely town. :)

Excellent stay! Better quality than many hotels. The manager came to give us our room when we could not make it in time for their office ours. Superb service!

1st time staying here. Our room is on the ground floor. The doors were open making the room feel quite fresh on arrival. There was also a sign letting us know who had cleaned the room. On returning later that night, the room smelt a bit musty when we walked in. The blaconnette looks over a school. Unfortunately, there are only blackout curtains, no lace, to stop people from looking in so these had to be pulled to give us privacy. The bed was awesome & we slept like we would at home. The complimentary continental breakfast was very nice. Would stay here again when we cone to Sale.

We spent 2 nights with another family in one of the new appartments over the long weekend. There was plenty of room for the 7 of us and when the connecting doors were closed we couldn’t hear anything from the other room. Been 8months pregnant the beds were really comfortable and I had a great night sleep. The stafff were great, as was the location to the main town, lakes, gardens and kids parks. We will definitely be back soon.

Very happy! A clean and comfortable room, recently renovated, I’m particularly impressed with the bathroom! Staff were lovely. A decent breakfast included in the rate. We were passing through and more than comfortable for what we needed. Recommended for good value. Easy walk to shops and restaurants. Decent, honest, friendly.

Such a lovely hotel. We came for two nights over the long weekend with our boys. The motel is very family friendly, has a casual relaxed vibe, is very clean and the rooms are gorgeous. Highly recommend it.

Room was lovely and clean but the bathroom is very dated and smelled of urine near the toilet. Breakfast was basic but good.

Hi it's Xanthe, Aaron's fiance. I have been staying at the Matador each weekend, and I refuse to stay anywhere else. The staff are so lovely, the rooms are beautiful and luxurious, the prices are cheap for on how stunning the rooms are. I love staying here, I defiantly recommend this place to anyone that was thinking about staying here. It's close to town, you can walk to the shops or drive if you like, it's great. Thank you.

Fantastic service from Chris at the front desk; beautiful rooms; nice pool; and breakfast was simple but more than enough to start the day.

Beautiful property that's just been renovated. The room is as pictured. Beautifully decorated, the place was really clean. The room was spacious enough for 2 people. The bed was comfortable. The shower had a good water pressure. The Wi-Fi works well. Location was good, 5 mins walk to the main strip of shops in Sale. Breakfast was continental which was good but could be better if they do eggs in the morning. The dining room was beautiful though. We got a bottle of water provided and 2 chocolates on the first day we arrived but that's all. Would be good to get one everyday. Oh and a sheer curtain or blind would be great for our room that's facing the carpark for privacy and so we can get natural light coming into the room. Soundproofing could be better. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would recommend this place.

Large premises. Nice, quiet, location with easy parking and short walking distance to pubs and food. (Irish pub is BEAUT). Rooms clean and well furnished. Free, buffet continental breakfast is a treat. An economical night away.

Much improved since the new owners have taken over and refurbished the rooms. Very accommodating staff who are friendly and want to do the best for their guests.

Stayed for one night while passing through for work. I choose it due to the excellent trip advisor reviews, and I was not disappointed. It was so clean and comfortable. The room has been fully renovated and was spacious. The complimentary bottled water and lovely breakfast buffet was also great. I will return next time I have a Gippsland work trip.

I spent the last two nights here for work and was very happy with the renovated room. They really do look fantastic and I was pleasantly surprised by the complimentary chocolate and water. The bathroom was really nice, the room was really clean too and the staff were very accommodating. I would definitely stay again and recommend this business to everyone.

I stayed at The Matador last weekend with a couple of my friends. We were very impressed with our room. It was very well appointed, comfortable & modern. The staff was exceptionally helpful. I will stay here again & highly recommend it.

I enjoyed the rooms, service was lovely and training rooms were comfortable.

The Matador is showing signs of neglect. Flat batteries in remotes, stained coffee mugs, dripping taps and inappropriate iron boards. Perhaps after refurbishment complete will it reach an acceptable standard.

Lovely rooms, huge with high ceilings and a small balcony if you're upstairs. Nice, basic free breakfast. Friendly staff. Close to the main street and right next to the theatre. Would recommend!

This hotel was very well appointed inside the rooms and the staff were friendly and available.

We were in an older part of motel clean but not updated. Didn't sleep well. Staff were friendly. Great location but needs updating.

They do yoga in one of the function rooms ever tuesday. Was awesome get around it people.

Good location. Value for money. Clean and comfortable. Great hot showers. Within 5 minutes walk of a great hotel with an excellent bistro.

It was the worst nights sleep ever! Management did nothing about the noise and were rude to deal with, after complaints at 10:30 and then at 12:30, they were still going at 3:30, we will NEVER stay here again, there was no receipt issued and they just wanted cash money… bad bad management!

I was only in one room. The place itself seems to be getting dated again.
