Toilet not clean and rest of bathroom dubious. A tangle of electrical cords from tv, aircon/heater (heating was not working) dangling midway across wall connected by power board. Old furniture for bedside table with holes in wall that power cables come out of (waiting for mice when the lights go off). Taped electrical cable near bed. No electric blankets (would have been very nice considering temp. Is 4° and heating does not work). Broken furniture dumped outside rooms in parking area. Door key to one of the doors not working (there are 2 doors to the room). Deoderiser is overwhelming. All this for $150 per night. Big mistake on our part.

Had a very nice meal and drinks.

I have been coming here for around 8 years, has always felt like home away from home. It is the first place I look at when traveling through Gippsland. New owners for nearly two years, who are most welcoming and helpful. Also a great place for dinner in their Restaurant, which is usually open to the public as well.

L am posting this for Jan packer who had to evacuate lakes entrance last week during high fire danger. Her words and recommendation for midtown motel couldn't be high enough, owners went far and beyond to help and make our stay happy and memorable, Thankyou midtown.

Absolutely fantastic, great place and even better people. Can't reccomend this place enough, bent over backwards to help us out and accommodate my large family. Thanks so much guys.

Quality & friendly service, highly recommend meals at the restaurant, stayed for 1 night had lamb shanks, mash, fresh veggies, for dinner, & for breakfast eggs Benedict, perfect. Rooms were comfortable, warm, quiet, and onsite parking. Perfect for weary travellers.

Excellent service. Clean room. Good food. Wouldve given it 5 if Wi-Fi is better.

Very clean, basic rooms. Bed comfortable, staff very friendly. Quiet even though there were a lot people staying the night.

Amazing service from Julie what a pocket rocket. Greeted us with a lovely smile was very excited about it being Valentine's Day and wanting to make us feel special. Food was great, good honest home cooking, big serves and the chefs suggestion of homemade chocolate tart to finish off was delicious. Will def be back to this little gem of a place.

Simple venue with great friendly staff. Service is brilliant. The menu is lovely with good choices. Food not complicate and well presented and full of flavour. It's nice to see the chef visible to all guests. Great, no frills night out. Loved it!

Simple but efficient room to stay. Has pool, strategically located in the busy main street of York. Easy access to everywhere. The husband and wife owner are very nice.

Clean rooms-bit old fashioned decor but wasn't looking for modern furnishings to give a good review. Electric blankets on bedsHelpful & friendly staff. Warm welcome from Eric the owner upon 8:30pm arrival on a public holiday. Food is great-only had breakfast next morning. Fair price for good food. Happily recommend a stay.

After 8 years in town we found this place 12 months ago. My wife and I now eat here regularly as its a classy feel with friendly staff and the best food in town.
I love food and value for money and love being made welcome. This place ticks all the boxes for sure.
Do yourself a favour and check it out for yourself.

So good. I think this is my new favorite dinner option. Service is great, chef friendly and meals great size, cost very reasonable.
Steaks where amazing! Kids meals very good also.
