Review of Leisure Inn Penny Royal Hotel & Apartments 3*

We had a wonderful time in Launceston staying at Penny Royal Hotel. Staff were fantastic and very helpful. Even though construction was going on, it was due to finish in a fortnight and future guests will benefit, so all in all, fantastic. We stayed in the most wonderful apartment, (the apartment had a special name Sargent … something … Delion or something similar, (might have mixed that up a bit, but I am sure it must be something important, he must have been employed doing some very special work of some sort, anyway it was apartment number 343, ask for that apartment, it is just the best) … all the apartments had special names, quite quaint and special to think we were living in a "special" apartment. Anyway, we enjoyed a beautiful balcony soaking up the afternoon sun, the magnificent cliffs just right there within touching distance (complete with a very cheeky possum) and a majestic waterfall right there against the cliff complete with lighting in the evening. The Cataract Gorge is just right there, with wonderful walks and you must to go Seaport only a few minutes walk across the road along the boardwalk for the café and restaurants. The river cruise is a must, either the short or extended cruise is fantastic. But you must go to the Cataract Gorge, do not miss out on this. Take your bathers for a swim in the river or the absolutely magnificent 50 mtr pool and toddlers pool. You must do the chair lift over the Gorge, do not miss out on this. Will come back again, anytime. Excellent and will stay again anytime.
