After reading the reviews I was looking foreward to our one night stay at Noah's, but I was rather disappointed. When we arrived the door was locked sp we had to call the owner to meet us. Our room was fine, lovely bed and a brand new very modern bathroom — which was freezing cold — and never got warm during our stay. At least the heat could have been turned on before we arrived.
Breakfast is continental — very continental — and not what I was expecting for a "luxury" B&B — and again — the door to the breakfast area was closed in the morning, so we had to call again. The husband arrived — and disappeared. I mean — it's a B&B — I am used to the owner is there to have a chat, say good morning etc. Etc.
We had the breakfast — with toast, some yoghurt — and left.
There are better "more friendly" places in this nice little town.
We stayed in King Suite No. 1 for 2 nights early in April 2025 at Noah's on Victoria Street. Talk about attention to detail, this place is tops! From a very comfortable bed and a well fitted out bathroom, we could not ask for more. The breakfast was out of this world with homemade preserves and jams included in the price. The hosts, Chris and Rhonda, couldn't do enough for us with recommendations on where to eat and sites to see.
We couldn't recommend Noah's on Victoria Street highly enough if you're staying in Stanley, Tasmania.

I stayed for 4 nights in March 2026 and could not have asked for better hosts. Rhonda and Chris made me feel extremely welcome from the moment I arrived between showing me my room, walking me through the ins and outs of how they run things such as breakfast and even making sure I knew of places to eat. Additionally, they bring with them a wealth of knowledge about Stanley, Tasmania and many other topics due to the years lived in Stanley and other life experiences. I enjoyed having chats with them when the opportunity arose.
On the subject of breakfast and the hosts, I’ve read a couple of unflattering reviews about them and would like to make the following points in their defence:
1) Hosts not being around 24/7 — they own more than one property and can’t be at Noah’s 24/7 as they’re also cleaning rooms and attending to the other property. They’re contactable by phone, though, in the event that you need assistance or to clarify anything.
2) Breakfast — it’s a continental breakfast in that there are no cooked breakfasts such as bacon and eggs or breakfast dishes you’d expect to order from a cafe. Again, see point There’s a wide variety, however, of cereals, muesli, different kinds of bread, home made Greek yoghurt (Chris makes it and it’s delicious), fruits and spreads including some homemade ones; Rhonda and Chris have a garden that’s abundant in herbs and produce — the only things missing are chickens to lay eggs and a cow to produce their own milk.
