Well presented, clean and definitely recommend for a romantic weekend getaway. Cost room with nice outlook.

We stayed in the Farm House. Excellent amenities and very spacious, the house was cosy and very clean. Good location. No Internet despite there being free Wifi which was fine for us however if you’re needing Wi-Fi access while you’re there, you can’t rely on it. I would absolutely recommend and come again.

I have been coming up here for around 6 years now … I absolutely love Tanglewood Gardens. Whether it's for time out for yourself or a romantic interlude, or an amazing wedding venue, this place is a hidden treasure. The staff go out their way and have great sense of humor.

Needs cleaning and updating. Mouldy in shower, dirty fan, smelt musty and blood stain on linen. For $168 per night I expected a lot better. Only good point was location.

Great rainforest setting in the beautiful montville/maleny area up in the mountains above sunshine coast. Was nice to have a fireplace as it added to the ambiance of the evening. Spent two days and nights here and would go back again.

I don't usually leave negative reviews, but I have to be honest. We were terribly disappointed. Everything was old and outdated. That in itself would not have been too bad except for the place was dirty! The carpet was appalling. The drapes (in the front room) were not even properly attached to the rod at the top. The whole appearance and atmosphere of the place showed that there was no upkeep to the unit or to the grounds. Everything was overgrown and rundown. First and last time for me.

Loved the location, loved the rain forest, tropical feeling, the trees are amazing can see where the name Tanglewood come from. Around the property are little plaque verses inspiring affirmation, the little pond that has a beautiful duck called Woody, there is also a beautiful chapel for marriages, and a conference room that is designed beautifully. We loved the spa, four areas to sit or lay in shaped like a butterfly it seems, pool area is beautiful for family's and a slide, we also played lawn bowls. The owner was not just an amazing host but she was very proud of her retreat as far as taking us in her little golf buggy to show us every room and cabins and the Queenslander home. 16 wonderful places which we could stay. The history of the Queenslander was so interesting and I would suggest to ask about the Queenslander. Design of furniture is beautiful, all the way from South Africa. We truly where treated so well and have been back 3 times in a week.

A wonderful relaxing beautiful place to stay. Everything we expected was blown up to be more. We had such a wonderful stay that we have come again. Place is amazing and has so much character and warm and peaceful. Just what was needed. Its a must place to stay.

The rooms need a make over… the pubic pool and spar need TLC… Trim the trees to allow the sun to warm the pool… over all quite lovely.

Best place I've been in years.

So much thanks to Anna she was a lovely host. We were a big family of 80 which stayed over the xmas holidays. She couldnt be more freindly and helpful than she was. The whole family had a great time especially the kids as they were free to do many activities. We felt like we owned the place for a few days. Thanks again for the great experience. Would love to come back again as same. Bye for now.

Great little forest resort for a great price. We shared a conjoined cabin with some friends and had a fantastic weekend getaway. The cabins aren't brand new but the location is so quiet and peaceful that it fits. There is a pool and hot spa on site and a small playground with a trampoline. Also apparently lawn bowls but we didn't make it. The cabin we were in had a fireplace and overlooked a lily pond which meant there were a few mosquitos but there were fly screens on every door and window so it wasn't bothersome. Cabs are not normally servicing the area but we managed to catch one as the resort is not within easy walking distance of an eatery. Having your own transport is recommended!

The rooms were very outdated and run down. The shower was barely usable and produced a small trickle of water. The morning of check out the water would not heat up in the shower. The kitchen sink gurgled whenever the neighbor used their facilities. There was a strong chemical smell on arrival, which we later decided was the firestarters that were left on the pile of wood in the lounge. The scenic setting of a rainforest was pleasant and the bed was comfortable. Would definitely not stay here again considering the price for value.

Beautiful location, nice cabin, lovely staff.

Was a great place to go to unwind from the hussle of city and town life. A little rainforest retreat off the main road of Flaxton in the mountains of the sunshine coast Qld. Nice and quiet with nature and free range chickens that roam free with the comforts of home kitchen and bathroom needs there and a fireplace to keep things cosy in the winter months th e closest shop is a IGA connected to a service station 1k away from the retreat. I highly recomend it if you don't mind an older style set up and nothing fancy.

Great getaway tucked away! Went to the queenslander so cool!

We went as a group of 5 families. While my cabin was fine a couple of our friends had an allergic reaction to something in the one of the cabins, one was a bit serious and required medical attention in the middle of the night. Fortunately one of our party was a doctor and was able to provide a puffer which helped. The other individual had taken an allergy med as early and didn't have any issue. Overall the accommodation was more 'meh' than wow.

It is a fantastic place to relax and unwind. Peace and quiet in a beautiful tropical setting and close to all amenities. All the smells, sights and sounds of the rain forest. The cabins are rustic in their charm and ideally suited for the environment. The heated spa was fantastic and the staff were very polite, helpful and accommodating. Had a wonderful relaxing week and look forward to visiting again.

It was simply great. It is set amongst the rainforest and very private. The staff were so good and friendly, I would recommend anyone stay there.

Simply Amazing! This place is a real gem and we will definitely be back. The place is perfect for a romantic getaway with the cabins nestled in rain forest like surroundings. We had intended to cook dinner on the electric stove but instead opted for the bbq just outside the cabin entrance. My partner commented on how well presented the whole cabin was and that nothing was wanting, everything you could possibly need was thoughtfully provided. After dinner we ventured to the spa and after an hours indulgence retired to our large comfortable bed and watched the flames from the warm fireplace. We were struck by how quiet it was in the cabin as we awoke — knowing that the main road would be busy with other adventurers. We wished we had booked another night and were sad to leave so soon. The cabin was very comfortable the staff were very friendly and helpful and we really couldn't have asked for more.

Stayed last night unit 4, as their website states it is a 3 star, and is value for money for a 3 star rating. They allowed us a late checkout. Fire was fantastic and staff were very obliging and helpful. Lovely setting. The kids had great fun. We will definately be back again. Glad to leave a positive rating as in all rooms you are given the opportunity to leave feedback.

At Checking in to our Garden View Room where you are handed your remotes in a pencil case — we walked in to the unit to be overwhelmed by a musty mouldy odour which there had been an attempt to mask with an automatic aerosol deodouriser (which really just made things worse! ). We had no time to complain and went out for a few hours to come back to find the air conditioning (which was turned on before our arrival to 30 Degrees) had leaked all over the carpet and I mean absolutely satuarated. I went to turn the air con unit off to find the remote (also provided in the pencil case) had no batteries so I had to wade through the wet carpet to turn the unit off manually. Once we had got to sleep we were awakened with a fright to the roar of the 1950's fridge motor, coupled with the Automatic Aerosol Spray Thing going off all night long at very regular intervalls and it still stunk! The following morning I went to have a shower so we could leave ASAP only to find someone elses short and curleys on the floor of the shower — so we thouhgt best to leave this awful place. On the way to reception we were met by the same lady who checked us in only 18 hours ago (who did not recognise us) and took the keys (and the remotes in the pencil case) back without asking how our stay was, a question no doubt she probably avoids.
