Its a nice choice for what you pay, acceptable prices, quiet place and friendly staff, 1 minute walk to water front, the reason I give 4 star is because its not a new with new technology, like oven wasn't working properly, ice maker in freezer was broken, other than that everything is nice in there.

It's a bit far from the center. Offcourse you can walk but still will be easy stay closer by. Bolding is old and unfortunately has a strong problem with aer conditioner system. Graund floor has a swimming pool and sauna.

They are busy renovating so I’m sure it will be nice when finished.

It's a gem! We stayed here overnight, in a 2 bed apartment, before an early flight out of Cairns. Friendly staff, large, clean apartment, and comfy beds. The only downside is that any scraping of chairs on the concrete floor in the room above us, caused a surprisingly large amount of noise. Price great, and ocean view amazing! Highly recommended.

Location was fantastic, room had a wonderful view. Very nice sized apartment. It was nice that cooking supplies were available, and having a clothes washer and dryer in the rooms was useful as well. Underground, secure parking was available at no extra cost as well. Great piece to stay if staying in Cairns for more than a couple of days.

Great place to stay. Stayed in garden two bedroom apartment. Nice 15 min walk to the Esplanade lagoon. Rooms are large with good kitchen, and washer plus separate dryer. Floors, bed linen and bathrooms are clean but higher surfaces and kitchen door fronts could do with better clean was sticky and dusty.

Aircon did not work. Rooms were hot and stuffy. Went to open a window to let air in and got BLACK soot on my hands. Wiped the two screens in one room and got black soot off the screens. Took video and photo and showed management. Reply was we are busy because of school holidays and do a spring clean once in a while. Packed up and left straight away after asking for a refund. Does not look like it had been spring cleaned in at least 3 years or more. Will never be returning to this hotel again.

Clean and comfortable rooms. Good location to restaurants and shops.

Excellent hotel with a great sea view and free Wi-Fi service, front desk staff are friendly and helpful. 20-30 minuets walks to the Cairns town centre.

Loved the meal, could not ask for a better feed.

Dated, dirty bait and switch: Booked a nice looking room: online I saw a modern unit with wood floors, leather couches, glass walk-in shower. When I arrived they gave me a room last renovated in the early 1970s: pink bathtub, stained cloth couch, a kitchen so poorly appointed it only had one wineglass and a non functioning cooktop, and a view not nearly as good as the picture (because the 'deluxe cean view unit' was pictured on the rental I booked, but the unit I received was not it). I talked to the manager who said the pictures were of a "representative" unit — when I said I wanted the unit pictured in my VRBO booking, they tried to charge $40 more per night, then insisted the unit they gave me was great. Steer clear: this property is run down, kitchen is not well stocked, lukewarm hot tub, cold pool, and we couldn't park in the garage as advertised. We bailed and booked elsewhere for the rest of our trip.

This was clean, spacious and a good location a lovely walk along the esplanade led us to the main streets and the night market.

Lovely apartment with lot of space and very spacious rooms… lily the manager is the star of this place. Very friendly and super prompt at helping out … we stayed as a family of four with two kids five and ten… any trouble ir concern and lily was there to help in a jiffy.
This place is so central in location with a lovely sea side view and the muddy garden right in front … if you're with kids … you will just love it would love to stay again and recommend to friends.

. Rooms spacious and quiet, with a full kitchen, incl a dishwasher and also a separate laundry.
Some fittings a little tired and could do with looking at.
Although it states the apartments are serviced on the web site, they aren't… unless you are staying long term… whatever that means. So, no fresh towels or beds made up and supplies of tea/sugar limited to 6 of each.

Giving this place a one star is not even worth it! The service was disgusting and rude. Having booked accommodation a month ago and being told I would have two queen size beds I walk into only have one double bed and two single beds. Both Li and the lady working today were rude, not professional and did not live up to 4 star accommodation. After traveling 4 hours from Townsville and to come to cairns for my first time and have that experience I will never recommend this place. Thank you to mantra for the last minute accommodation and beautiful service.

Unit 19. Good location. Next door to main hospital. Noisy when air ambulance (helicopter) and road ambulances arrive. Furniture dated and lounge chairs are well worn, uncomfortable and padding gone. Tiled floors have chipped tiles. Bathroom maintenance required, stiff shower taps, toilet seats are not as should be for the pans. Not fully secured, rubber supports missing and are unstable. Grease on pull out cooker exhaust. Disgusting.

The hotel 181 The Esplanade in Cairns is good holiday accommodation at a reasonable price. Had a nice 2 bedroom apartment with top view close to beach and with pool. Staff friendly. Very relaxing.
